Can I Fix or Patch this Hole in the Rug Myself?

I’m prepping to resell my car in a couple months, a 2023 Honda CR-V Sport. I hadn’t realized sooner, but there is a cosmetic issue at the base of the driver’s seat seat carpet - it’s been worn through several layers, and now there’s a hole in the carpet 🙈 not exactly ideal.

Is there a way for me to patch up the hole or fix it myself before having someone come to give me a formal estimate?

If not, does anyone have any advice on how to make the damage less noticeable/how it might devalue my car? Please ignore how bad my car needs to be vacuumed haha

Getting seat reupholstered for comfort

Good evening,

I bought a new ‘26 Camry which I love the gas mileage, ride comfort, etc, but one issue I am experiencing is the area circled being too bolstered and also firm.

I installed custom seat covers that have foam to help, but unfortunately the bolster of it still makes it press too much on my back in that area circled.

Instead of trading it in for this I’m thinking of bringing it somewhere and seeing if they’re able to possibly shave it down and/or replace it with softer foam in that section as everywhere else is comfortable.

How much would this run for a partial reupholstering of that area? Or would they need to replace the whole cushion?

How to fix leather steering wheel damage?

Didn’t realize how hard I was scrubbing and borked the top of my steering wheel. I was using a microfiber cloth and some armor all leather care and I figure the combination of that and too much pressure/friction caused this. I assume I’ll need to sand down the spots and restore the whole part. I just want some input as to how bad this is and what process I should use to try and fix it. Thank you for any tips/ suggestions!

Had a go at reupholstering my steering wheel

Doing a retrim from scratch has been on my list of diy projects for ages. Definitely not perfect but so much better than the see over cover I had on it before. Did the 12 o’clock marker in the same leather I’m doing my seats in.

How much time you spend on work

Hey guys, I'm a beginner (made few cushings before) and was offered to reupholster full car seat with vinyl. The bottom part took 8 hours, the backrest almost 12 hours, and it looks terrible. I will try to make it again. I know what could be possibly wrong, but do you have any tips or tricks to do it faster and cleaner? What tools make a big difference? Is it normal to spend this much time on it? All advice and criticism welcome!

I have an update! Check below

How much would this cost to repair?

Purchased this car from a guy about a few weeks ago and it’s a beautiful car, but the panel obviously rubs against my skin. What’s a good price estimate to expect?

2016 Nissan Maxima Platinum for anyone wondering.
