Will I ever orgasm again?

I (25f) have been taking Auvelity for about 6 weeks. Started out with some wooziness and “high” feeling as a side effect and dealt with some constipation, but overall nothing crazy. I’m definitely noticing an improvement of my mood (with some variation) and am pleased with how things are going. The biggest downside is that I have lost all ability to orgasm. I still feel sexual pleasure, but it seems IMPOSSIBLE to get all the way there. Is this something that goes away with more time, or is my vagina on lockdown until further notice? Would love to hear other people’s advice / experiences

Auvelity and Adderall combo. Completely diminished all effects of Adderall.

Anyone else have this experience? I’m about to switch back to Trintellix or remove the auvelity because I am prescribed 30mg ER and I swear it no longer does a single thing for me.

I take it in the AM before my auvelity then take another dose of auvelity before bed. I feel like the meds are totally counteracting themselves and quite honestly the Adderall gives me more of a depression lift / general will to get things done than this med does.

Experience or advice please! I have also tried pristiq / Adderall combo in the past and that seemed to work better.

Ladies and gents put up with side effects… this stuff WORKS

It’s month two for me and oh my god. I am like the Zoloft bubble commercial that enjoys things he once did but forgot. My anhedonia is zapped. All the things before where I desperately wanted to do them but felt like sludge to get to point where I was are back! I am laughing and joking again with my man, life is grand. I’ve had multiple moments where I’ve said I’m so happy and make a lil shriek. Things have been working since week 2 but I’ve been not making a post for fear they would degrade.

I will also note that I’m taking low dose Amisulpride (50mg) for dysthymia. Ordered offline bc not used at said doses in USA. The heavy lifting is def from Auvelity tho.

WAHOOOO

What time do you take your doses?

I just started taking Auvelity 5 days ago. The directions I was given were to take once daily for 3 days then increase to twice daily. I tend to be sensitive to med changes and had some minor side effects (diarrhea, headaches) so I decided to take it once daily for a week before increasing. I was wondering what time of the day most people take their second dose? Do you take it more in the afternoon/evening or at bedtime?

Heart palpitations and breathing issues

So I’ve been having some pretty bad symptoms since I started and after stopping. I took it for just shy of one week. The first few days I had rapid heart rate but it was manageable. Then on the 5th day I woke up at night with a panic attack and not being able to breathe well. I wanted to just power through it so I took it again the 6th day and the same thing happened so I decided to stop. Yes I should have talked to my psychiatrist first but I didn’t. Unfortunately my issues just got worse over the next few days.

My heart palpitations progressively got worse to the point I had to go to urgent care because I couldn’t breathe. Luckily while I was there my breathing did begin to settle. They did a chest X Ray and said I had an enlarged heart with possibly fluid in it (which was thankfully a false reading). The next day I went to the ER. They told me I was fine in the sense I’m not gonna have a heart attack or have an enlarged heart or fluid. My guess is I didn’t take a deep enough breath at urgent care since I wasn’t breathing well to begin with.

I got home from the ER on Saturday morning and had my psychiatrist appt a few hours later. She put me on 0.5mg of Ativan to calm my heart. It may have worked but I’m not sure. I’ve only taken it twice so far. My symptoms are finally settling down but still dealing with heart palpitations consistently and breathing issues every so often. I’m scheduled to see a cardiologist July 7th. It’s assuring my symptoms are improving but it’s still really scary. Terrifying.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? Did your symptoms go away? Thank you so much

Has anyone found that Auvelity isn’t really working for MDD or stabilizing moods? It’s only helping with anxiety. What does everyone else take along side Auvelity that experienced this?

I switched from Zoloft to this medication and lost this benefit.

DIY Auvelti?

Auvelti doesn’t exist in Canada… so my inpatient psychiatrist literally has me on bupropion and cough syrup (on top of some other meds)… does anybody else have any positive experiences?

What did you feel in the days just before Auvelity started working?

I read so many stories on here of people who've had great success. I'm wondering: for most of you, did it feel like a switch flipped on a certain day, or did you feel gradually better? What did you feel like in the days between starting the med and when you could say you felt actually good again?

Took a day off Auvelity, slept like a baby.

I took a day off Auvelity for my Spravato treatment. I took a couple relaxing pills to make myself a little drowsy like a benedryl and a muscle relaxer and after 10 hours of uninterrupted sleep, I now feel totally rejuvenated like never before.

Long Term Success Stories?

Hi - I just started Auvelity after many years on and off of Wellbutrin. I’m just on Day 3 but already noticing such a noticeable improvement in my brain fog and mood. The first two days I definitely noticed that loopy feeling but now I’m feeling quite good and I’m pretty excited:)

For those of you have been on it for a longer duration of 1yr plus, how is it going? Is it still effective?

Dissociation

I tried taking Auvelity, but I felt so dizzy, dissociated & completely out of my body like I couldn’t even function properly or think straight. I really have the desire to continue taking it ( I still have 2 months worth) but I am so scared of experiencing that feeling. I see everybody saying how life changing it is & I’ve never seen any antidepressants work so well for so many people. For other people who experienced the dizzy dissociation & discomfort feeling. How long did it take for that to go away? Is there anything I can do to help mitigate that feeling?

Is anyone on an auvality and cymbalta combo?

I was recently placed back in the psych hospital again. I was given back my cymbalta as I was on it before (I just randomly quite taking it). When I got out my doctor prescribed me auvality and my psychiatrist approved of it. I was warned that I do have an increased chance of seizures. But I think the combo is giving me serotonin syndrome/poisoning. I keep tremoring, dry mouth, insomnia, no appetite, I have muscle twitches and uhhh “the runs”. I don’t feel nervous though, I feel amphetamine high (I used to do amphetamines(or well trying to quite)). I know I don’t have anything of that sense in me. I feel immensely euphoric and hyper, which I feel that because serotonin syndrome and amphetamine abuse have overlapping pathways, my brain is mistaken it as a pleasure feeling than a fear feeling.
I don’t think this is normal. I take one cymbalta and two auvality daily. Should I talk to my doctor, just take one auvality, or just continue use? How do I even bring this up to my doctor? I really don’t want to go to the hospital or inpatient. When I do get initial “rushes of euphoria” i lowkey don’t want to give that up but I know it’s probably not good to feel this way.

Does anyone have the same experience?

Persistent Cough

Has anybody had any issues with a persistent cough? It started around the time I started taking this medicine. It stopped when I stopped taking it, and started again when I started taking it again. The medication has really helped with my focus and ruminating, I'm finally sleeping without having to smoke, and I don't want to stop taking it, but this cough is gnarly. It sounds like I'm coughing up my insides, I'm wretching and my abs hurt from being doubled over.

I also had this cough during one cycle of Wellbutrin a few years ago, but I've taken Wellbutrin on and off many times through the years, and this only happened once.

Just curious if anyone else has had it, and if they did anything that worked to resolve it.

Headache/ other side effects

I started taking auvelity a little less than two weeks ago. At first it made me anxious but this doesn’t bother me anymore the anxious crazy feeling went away. I feel much better mentally, I have energy to accomplish tasks I could not do before and I do not feel as sad and mellow anymore.

Unfortunately, a severe headache began around the time I started taking this medication. I am not sure if the headache is a side effect or if it has a different cause, but I believe it may be the medication because of the timeline.

I have a history of migraines that have been under control for the last few years, but this headache feels like a migraine. Pain on one side of my head and on the back of my head/neck (occipital region). Also It feels like my ears are under water and my sinuses are full. I am a bit lightheaded and my visual processing feels slower, I feel a little spaced out.

I do not want to go off of this medication because it has caused significant improvements in my mental health. I have failed a lot of medications because I am prone to getting the rare side effects, I want to know if anyone else had this side effect and if it went away eventually.

Please let me know if anyone has had similar problems and what the outcome was.

Auvelity + Energy Drinks changed my life

Ever since I started auvelity, day one everything changed I was able to fix my hygiene and start going to school again. Everything! I used to be very depressed and lazy but now I can feel like a normal person again one day I tried combining it with a daily energy drink, I expected physical anxiety since I had that with 300 mg of wellbutrin xl back then, surprisingly I feel even more better with the energy drink so now from now on I’m gonna have 2 auvelitys as prescribed and at least one or two energy drinks a day but I will limit the energy drinks so I don’t get a heart attack lol

I dunno about yall but this helped alot with my life im going thru a breakup but after that day i felt alot better! I didnt feel that sad anymore.

Tl;dr

Auvelity and energy drinks changed and made my life better.

seizure like episodes???

i’ve been on auvelity for about 2.5 months now and it has been a GAME CHANGER for my treatment resistant depression. i truly was so surprised by how quick it started helping me get out of a looooong awful depressive episode that i was worried it was one of those “im okay for a little bit” things. my depression has been very mild.

a little over 3 weeks ago i started having these episodes? they happen completely randomly and i have very little warning signs before its full blown

how these episodes progress

-warning signs of blurry/double vision and my neck/back gets tight and feels like it’s locking up
-vision remains blurry and my body is trembling
-it is hard to move, i feel weak and unstable
-im disoriented and confused but awake/coherent mainly
-one of the biggest/weirdest parts of these episodes are that i have a MASSIVE stutter. i can barely get words out and im barely understandable. it’s hard for me to find the words i need to say right away
-some trouble swallowing and breathing
-can’t visually focus in on things (like pinpointing something i feel very scattered)
-some weird “psychosis” like symptom where i feel like im like moving back and forth in the hospital bed

usually takes about 2 hours to fully get rid of all of these symptoms. for a few days after an episode i am still a bit confused, mild stutter, trouble focusing, my spelling/remembering different things about words is all messed up, some fine motor skills issues like with writing and am shaky. also experience muscle tremors randomly through out the day every day.

it’s all super weird and new to me. i’m working with doctors and neurology can’t get me in for about 1.5 months. the newest change in things like my medicine has been adding the auvelity. and i’ve seen things about some warnings of bupropion increasing risk of seizures?

i’m not even sure if im experiencing seizures nothing has been diagnosed with me yet.

idk has anyone experienced anything similar?

sorry for the long ramble

Feeling unmotivated and loopy

I started Auvelity this last Monday so it’s only been 4 days but I felt it hit within a few hours of the first pill and it’s been intense ever since. I feel high, out of my head, and today I’m noticing some paranoia and complete lack of motivation to get things done.

I take this off label for perimenopause rage/irritability. I don’t have depression so I’m wondering if this might not be the best fit for me. Basically I’m having a hard time understanding how I go from feeling like this, druggy and disoriented, to feeling normal/better? Should I just stop this med and try something else?

All these success stories make me so mad.

I’ve been on this medication for about 4 weeks and have had almost zero improvements.

I had been on Luvox for around 18 years and had mild success with it but it was mostly for my OCD rather than depression. I started Spravato at the beginning of this year and while it took a some time I started feeling better, although it hasn’t fully "fixed" me yet. I decided to try a different antidepressant and initially started with Pristiq, but it gave me horrible acne so I quit it immediately and went back on Luvox for the time being. I was eventually recommended Auvelity and while my insurance doesn’t cover it, my mom works at the doctor’s office that I get my Spravato treatment at so I’ve been getting sample bottles for now.

I started with a single pill for a week and than moved to 2 pills after that and it’s been a steady decline ever since. All the progress I made on Spravato has been completely undone, I don‘t care about anything I enjoyed before and I hardly have the energy to get out of bed. I don’t really care about eating that much and I mostly spend my days staring into space. Of course, I look up other people’s experiences and what do I see? Post after post saying how this drug changed their lives and gave them the energy to live again.

I’m glad that it’s helped so many people, but I look at my experience and feel so jagged and angry. Why isn’t it working for me!? What’s wrong with me that makes this not work? I’m so exhausted and feeling hopeless. The only positive thing is my OCD is completely manageable but I’m just surviving. I don’t know what to do at this point besides quitting.

Heart problems

Anyone take this and have heart problems? My husband was prescribed it but had an open heart surgery on 5/8 and an ablation 2 days ago. He also has high blood pressure and diabetes 2.
