Should I switch?

So I have 223 marks in BITSAT 2026 and am alloted Msc Bio in Pilani and have accepted the seat.

Say I get Msc Chem Hyd in Itr5, should I take it?

The issue is should I prefer Msc Bio in Pilani or Msc Chem in Hyderabad?

If I shall prefer Msc Chem, is it worth losing 10%-20%of money over and sacrificing Pilani campus?

I don't really care about either of those subjects. Wanna know about academics tho.

Money...

Should I put my entire family's net worth(50lakhs) on gamble with 2x Multiplier? If I win it's cool but if I lose then we go 0.(For BITS Fees ofcourse)

This is regarding college admissions

18M this side. Joining college this year. There are two unis in which I have applied - Manipal and BITS. For Manipal, they follow aicte guidelines, according to which the last date of refund of full tuition fees is 20th July. BITS fourth iteration is on 22nd july. Suppose i get a seat at BITS on 22nd, I'll forfeit my tuition fees (6L) and will get back my hostel fees (2L) at manipal. However, what I've read in aicte, if my seat is filled by another candidate, the University is bound to return my money. And there is a possibility of another round of admissions at manipal after 20th july, and my seat is the most sought after (main campus cse), it is almost certain to be filled.

Now the main problem, it's a private uni, they have control with the admin panel, they can simply say that my seat was left vacant and refuse my money. Nobody wants to mess with their dirty politics.

And my plan has a lot of ifs - if I get in BITS and 22nd and if there is another round at manipal. Too risky?

What do I do?

2+2 program, advice needed

Im getting both BITS P + RMIT Mechanical and MITM + ANU CSE. For those who've looked into 2+2 programmes, you'd know that ANU is a premier uni in Aus, and comparatively better than RMIT, whereas in the Indian unis, BITS P and MITM aren't even on the same plane.

As for interest, so far I've been interested in CSE but wanted to pursue something in the aviation/aerospace field, so tbh, to an extent, both options are very attractive. I may be able to upgrade to ECE next round if 3rd itr cutoffs are like last year, but both CS branches are unlikely.

Cost plays a factor but not as much as branch and college... Any advice is appreciated 🙏

BITS Placement

I posted this image from BITS Goa Orientation last year yesterday and few BITS guys said that these figures did not include PS2 PPOs. So want to understand how exactly BITS arrive at these figures.

The image shows that students "registered" for placement was 241 and "placed" was 232. Do they, who r on the narrative that PS2 PPOs r not included, mean that at the time of preparation/publication of these figures, those students who were undergoing PS2 were not included in "students registered for placements"? Or those who actually got PPOs were originally registered but later removed from this "registered" figure after they got PPOs? Or something else? How exactly is this "registered" figure arrived at?

CONFUSEDD NEED HELP

I'm getting BITS GOA CSE and BITS PILANI CSE + Centrale Supelec CS and AI at my marks , my main goal is to settle abroad so I will do masters anyways later on even if I do go for BITS GOA CSE , but should I still opt for BITS P CSE + CSP instead ?

Is the Centrale Supelec brand name worth the expenses ?

Also do I have to pursue masters there as well or can you get good jobs and packages there on the CSP name alone ?

Expenses I think around 80-90 lakhs including living expenses so still maybe manageable and french would be taught in pilani

Pls help really confused any help appreciated

(READ BODY FIRST) Choosing CSE at BP Goa campus over CSE at BP Pilani campus. W or L? (READ BODY FIRST)

Goa has better connectivity, better city life, better weather. Overall much better quality of life.

Pilani has better brand value/legacy.

Placements wise Pilani is better than Goa but 90%+ companies are common to all 3 campuses, major difference is those HFTs wagera jiskeliye I'm definitely not smart enough to be in top 5-10 in whole batch and neither am I cracked in mathematics.

Aur mujhe coding mein bhi kuch nhi aata hai bas college jaakar ye sabh seekhna hai. Koi particular interest bhi nhi hai.

Help regarding counselling process for private universities.

Hey there I am a failed dropper, got 92.75%ile in mains. I am honestly stressed lately. I am posting this here since my Karma is low and thus the relevant subreddits don't allow me to post there. The thing is well I am getting JIIT Noida, last year's data shows that by the end of the upgradation process, I will get mathematics and computing.

The thing is I don't like the atmosphere in JIIT, so I was considering thapar by the later rounds, the fourth round is well in the mid of August and the spot rounds will be later on either September start or August end, of which I have asked by friends at thapar that I have a decent chance of getting a seat, I also had a decent score in bits(don't ask for my bits score but mujhe Msc physics chahiye I am a physics enthusiast but vaha tak girna guaranted nhi hai) , but looking at the counselling trend this year I will get only something at the end of the counseling process and that too isn't confirmed. Bits is obviously my first priority.

But the thing is well, JIIT requires me to report on 14th July to verify documents and deposit things like migration certificate and character certificate. The helpline isn't picking up the calls and well if in later rounds I get seats at either bits or thapar I don't know how much time will they take to accept a request. Can anyone guide me?

QUERY about MSC degrees

I don't have any particular interests I just want the seniors to rate each MScs out of 5 on 2 criterias first being the grading and second how helpful would they be to secure jobs even if it makes a slight difference please consider it

For grading let 0 be the most brutal and 5 be the most lineant .

Just write your ratings in this order

ECO

SEMICON

PHYSICS

CHEMISTRY

Please a genuine doubt ..
