As the title suggests, I'm having confusion between these two colleges. It would be of great help if someone could guide me.
Hi Seniors, i'm putting together my options list for counseling and noticed that the college offers both "computer science & engineering (ai-ml)" and just "artificial intelligence & machine learning" as a separate standalone branch.
can anyone tell me what the actual difference is on campus?
are they under the same department or do you have different labs/profs? also, do companies differentiate between the two during placements, or do both sit for the exact same tech pool?
thanks!
The title is pretty much all
Hi
I want to pursue btech computer science and engineering but I am stuck between two options:
1)bms institute of technology and management
( it's not bms college of engineering, it's their other campus )
2)nmims mumbai
So can you tell me which one is better for btech cse between the two?
( Don't consider fees, i can afford both of them easily, i just want to know which one is better)
What rank can I expect?
I Want to study Mechanical Engineering. What order should I keep these colleges in after RVCE- MSRIT, BMSCE, DSCE, BIT, BMSRIT, RVITM, any other good college. Want college in Bangalore. A good peer group is absolutely essential.
Priorities/Non-negotiables are-
Interested in mathematics, so I'll join IIT-M BS Data Science online degree from my second year, start with internships and research work in vacation breaks, etc, and work on skills(CAD, CAE, CFD, FEA) by myself. I'll do MS abroad from Germany after 2-4 years of job in India. So campus placements will not matter as much as peer group and environment do.
Messed up JEE pretty bad so no options from there, and drop is not an option.
How probable is branch sliding into mechanical branch from lower branches after 1st year in colleges like MSRIT, BMSCE? If sliding is very probable, I might consider getting into branches like civil in either msrit or bmsce over mech in lower colleges like bmsit, etc. Someone please guide me.
Also, are Mysore colleges like JSSTU, SJCE, SIT worth it for my situation?
Any alumni/current student please help me list out the college priority order list.
TL;DR: Want to study mechanical, will study maths from IIT-M BS DS and skills by myself, highly prioritize peer group and environment. Masters abroad plans. Want help to sort college priority list.
Is it true that ece department is shifting to PG block from next year?
is it possible to change to eee or ece from biotech?
I think i might get BMSCE/MSRIT mechanical engg... should i even consider it ? or go to JSS STU cause i might CSE? i want to know what is the situation in placement and overall academics in MECHANICAL ENGG.
Choose BMS only if you ain't getting any circuital branch in MSRIT /RVCE.
Order of colleges of comedk :- RV>> MSRIT>> BMS
BMS is a lot overcrowded now and the place is a hella small + considering the dropped placements and increased intake also .
They are also going to open BMS university inside the campus very soon ( campus is already a lot smaller , i meet my crush 4 times on average daily in this college )
The hostels are costlier , around 2 Lakhs for 1 year .
If you are getting any good or even mech branch in any decent NIT , choose that .
Afte that think of RV and MSRIT.
BMS should be your last safe option .

Hi, I'm interested in taking admission in BTech CS in this college I'm not from Karnataka. I got 95.3 percentile in jee mains this year but I didn't give comedk exam , am I eligible for admission in comedk quota ( not management quota) where fees are lower ?
Or am I eligible only for management quota where fees are higher.
Thanks.
Seniors, how many holidays do you get in an year? 🥀
Do you get winter holidays?
In terms of placements
What is the minimum CGPA usually required for placements and internships at BMSCE? Also, what CGPA do most companies expect during campus hiring?
AS A DIPLOMA LATERAL ENTRY STUDENTS..
DO WE GET IF WE HAVE 8-9 CGPA.
OR SHOULD WE TARGET 8.5+
TIA
I am a non kannada student but not sure which to choose placement wise
Heyy guys, I'm planning to get into cse in bmsce,
will there be college trips (including international) frequently.. or do people plan their own trips in here...?
it's almost the end of 1st year and i haven't found friends who share the same interests as me 😭
The main issue seems to be though I am from karnataka the people who are from karnataka don't have this welcomingness for some reason especially in this college, it's weird idk why I have been transferring schools my whole life but I always had so many friends and the main thing is they were very welcoming but the kannada people here in this college for some reason are different , when I try to talk to them they act like I am alien or give this idk what this niga is yapping about energy.( Maybe cause my sense of humor isn't the same as theirs and they think I am retard or also the jokes and stuff maybe ) And the worst part is that my class is full of these people from the day one i couldnt find a decent friend in my class . It's not that I don't have friends i have many friends form north but they are from different classes so we rarely meet and yeah .
I think the main reason could be that my interests are way different from theirs donno
same as the title
