528i Xdrive won’t go into gear
Going to fully explain what happened so there’s no confusion. Listening to music with car off, get the battery light. I start the car wait like 10 minutes, go to pull out and battery dies. Get it started with a jump pack and I drive for 30 minutes, then I notice I lost transmission power, went into neutral fail safe I put it in drive and reverse and the manual select all acted as neutral. Used the manual override and got it home.
The next day got a new battery and registered it with the car. I went to follow the full process located the fill hole and it dumped fluid out, didn’t stink just dark no metal shavings. Got it to temp and checked again and more fluid came out. Car was level all around. After that happened I used a better tool and found that the transmission is in first gear which would explain why it’s dumping the fluid even though it’s low.
TLDR transmission is in first gear while the EGS is in park. I try to put it in drive or reverse and it goes straight back to park. I’m hoping it’s not the bridge seal or that fun stuff.
I have another transmission I can throw in I just want more opinions before I do that and it still not work.
Codes came up for ratio clutch an and d, and low and voltage at the transmission sensors.
