2025/26 BMW S1000RR owners - Best way to install a Quad Lock Wireless Charging Head?

I’ve just picked up a 2026 S1000RR and I’m trying to decide the best way to install my Quad Lock Wireless Charging Head.

From what I’ve found, there seem to be three options:

BMW GPS/accessory connector (OEM repair connector)

Direct to the battery (with or without the Quad Lock Smart Adaptor)

Rear USB-C port with the USB charging head

For those of you who have actually installed one on a 2025+ model, which method did you go with and why?
I’m looking for the cleanest OEM-style installation with no CAN bus issues, no warning lights, no fault codes and no unnecessary battery drain.

If you’ve got photos of your setup or any advice, I’d really appreciate it.

Volume Control Not Working?

I’ve seen videos online of people controlling their volume with the wheel on the left handlebar…. When I’m playing music and on the “now playing” screen with album art….. I can’t turn my volume up or down? Is there something else I need to be doing?

Are my valves cooked? I was dumb and took my muffler off and rode my bike for about 5 mins

This was a cold start with my muffler on I’m thinking this might be an exhaust leak, but I don’t know

Do I need to close the throttle for quickshifter downshifts on a 2025 S1000RR?

Hi guys,

For a 2025 S1000RR, when using the quickshifter to downshift, do I need to fully close the throttle first? Or can I just keep the throttle at the current position and press the shifter down?

New S1KRR - winter

I bought an S1000RR in April of this year. It's the first bike I've bought brand new. Between wet weather (Vic, Australia) and other commitments, I've only put 300kms on it. Is it likely to cause any issues that it's garaged over winter during the run-in period? I start it up and let it run for 20 mins once a week but wasn't sure if this is problematic for the bike while running it in - should I be doing anything else (if I can't take it out regularly) like revving it when warm etc?

2026 S1K complete failure

I bought a 2026 S1K in the beginning of may and it has been in and out of the shop for over a month. I live in Massachusetts and we only have a few months of riding. The second day I owned the bike it went into limp mode and left me stranded. Got it towed to the dealership, ended up the servo flap was stuck closed. After a day of getting it back the ecu trashed itself. Took another two weeks to get back because the dealership had to deal with warranty. I bring it in for the 600 mile service and have them put on a brand new arrow evo full titanium exhaust. On the way back home from the dealership guess what same exact code popped up and now the bike started misfiring. Ended up being a bad coil. They replace the coil and deliver the bike back to me. I start it up, let it warm up, and as soon as it was warm the same error code popped up again. I couldn’t even ride it up the street, bike was giving me 0 power. Now it’s back at the shop again for the 4th time, now they’re saying that the same coil is bad. This bike is junk, I bought a 2025 last year 0 issues. This 2026 model has given me hell. BMW is now getting involved but in all honesty this is just one big shit show. I just want to ride.

Impounded 30 day mandatory

Well it finally happened. I was speeding and got pulled over they said I was doing 90 in a 35mph. Which I dont believe cuz they don't have lidar or Radar on me. They took my insta360s and even my phone....which was weird and impounded my motorcycle for 30 days. Just got a lawyer. This is gonna be fun 😪😪😭😭

I know I wasn't doing 90 and I know that road isn't 35mph. If anything I was doing max 65 and it's 45. Cops just hating on bikers

Screeching noise after overheat

Dropped the bike off at my mechanic because it felt like clutch was slipping. Mechanic said clutch was good, he tightened chain and went for test ride. Bike overheated during the test ride, not sure exactly why but we have had higher temps here in Canada, roughly 30-35 degrees Celsius. The mechanic let it cool and made it back to the shop without it overheating again. I brought the bike home and rode it again and it overheated again, so i turned it off and trailered it back home. Now when i go to start the bike it is making this sound and im unsure what it is. Any help would be appreciated. In the video i turn the bike on and the noise comes and stays while bike is on, but i turn it off quickly as I don’t want to damage anything unknowingly.

Appreciate any input! Thanks!

Replaceable?

I think the pinch bolts got tightened when axle was misaligned, cracked the leg. Is the leg replaceable without buying a whole fork? Thanks!

Which chain and sprocket upgrade?

I have the OEM M chain 12,000 miles. I wanna change the sprocket and chain for peace of mind, it has a tight spot in the chain-

Im going for the DID 525 ZVMX2 + JT 17t. I just need to know what rear sprocket to get. 45/ or 46. I am yet to BT MOTO tune the bike to open up the middle range. Bike already has top range but the 46t can give low range. While 45 is oem feel I believe based on research. I do alot of highway miles, whats best? T i a.

2023 BMW S1000RR Power Wheelie Problems

I have a 2023 BMW S1000RR and I’ve taken a liking to doing power wheelies in first to get a feeling for having one wheel on the ground. I have been able to consistently do power wheelies but halfway through my ride today it no longer lets me get the wheel off the ground. It feels like the electronics are stopping the bike from lifting.

My problem with this is I have it in Race Pro Mode with wheelie control off, traction control at 0, and I’ve tried many different combinations of things to fix it. I’ve been able to do the power wheelies with the above setting more so it’s weird it’s stopping it now.

Does anyone know what may be causing my bike to prevent the wheel from coming up?
