I’m a recent B.Tech graduate in Computer Science (2026), General category. I’m exploring government exams where the syllabus overlaps with my background (CSE subjects, reasoning, aptitude) and feels similar to SSC‑type exams.

I actually used AI to draft this post so it’s structured, but the questions are genuine:

Which exams should I target that fit my profile?

What’s the right prep roadmap (subjects, timeline, practice strategy)?

Which resources/videos/teachers did you follow that really helped?

Any tips from those who’ve cleared these exams — what worked best for you?

Hey! I’m self-preparing for BPSC and none of my friends are preparing for civil services—they’re all in corporate jobs. 😅

Sometimes I just want to talk about preparation, doubts, strategy, etc. with someone who’s going through the same thing, but I don’t really have anyone to discuss these things with.

So, if anyone here is a serious BPSC aspirant and wants to connect/study together or just discuss things sometimes, feel free to DM me. :)

I have been preparing for upsc but will also give bpsc so I need to study Bihar history, polity, geo, eco..any best source to study Bihar special? Any suggested youtube channel, teacher or batch? (English medium)

Since date of 72nd Prelims has been announced, and I see a lot of posts related to source for preparation. Here is the list of Source that has helped me clear 70th and 71st Prelims.

1. S&T: Ncert is should be the primary source, 6-10th, specially the application portion mentioned of the concepts. GC for S&T is very good as well. Compliment this with any compilation of coachings for upsc. But do remember 60-70% questions of S&T are doable from ncert's alone, so prioritize Ncert First

2. Bihar History: Questions repeat a lot and comes from limited topics, there random bouncer questions asked as well every year, Donot Chase them! Not worth the effort, Cover this topic from BCW Playlist on Youtube and compliment it with IAS Valley videos. They are good enough, Solve PYQ of last 20 years atleast from this topic. Questions repeat a Lot

3. Bihar Geography: Again you can refer to BCW Playlist on Youtube, Solve 20 Years PYQ, will be more than enough.

4. Polity: Do as many questions as possible, Best revision for Polity is not reading notes but solving mock tests and PYQ, Do Section wise revision and read portions that you forget a lot.

5. Economy: Mostly CA based, refer to Bihar Economic Survey and Budget, CA magazine's are good source and solve atleast 200-300 mcq for this

6. Modern History : Spectrum is the best source, Here GC is quite good as well, it will cover almost every dimension and you will be able to attempt the doable questions.

I've this doubt I'm really confused between 73rd and 74th bpsc

Do you all think 7 months is enough to start preparing for the 73rd exam for a total beginner and someone starting from scratch?

“Can someone please tell me how many chapters/topics I need to cover in Polity for both BPSC Prelims and Mains? Please explain it properly so I can plan my preparation accordingly..🥺

Saw a video of Khan sir where he was saying that interview is just to increase your rank...

So does that mean the candidate is definitely selected once he clears the mains even at a lower post? Or the candidate can be rejected as well?

Anyone who has cleared BPSC pre,can you please tell what's the correct way to revise, which subject should I prioritize & in what manner ,pyq revision and mock test .

My preparation is at mid level but I want to improve my preparation.

I have done science pyq of all bpsc exams which are there in bihar specific ghatnachakra along with that will do uppcs science pyq(as i have to appear for uppcs as well) and selective lucent will that be enough to cover science portion nicely for bpsc 72th prelims

Same as above.

Revision for 72nd bpsc pt along with uppcs.

Only some serious friends knock me.

I don't want to collect too many books and would rather focus on revision.

For those who have cleared BPSC Prelims, would you add anything essential to this list? Or is repeated revision + PYQs enough?

Looking for practical suggestions, not a huge booklist.
