Something strange happened today. I was doing 95km on 100km zone, then I pressed the ICC button. And set my speed to 100, then took my foot off. There was no one in front but the car didn't hold or go up to 100 instead the speed just dropped. Lucky no one was behind me. Anyone experienced this?

In the last month, I’ve noticed that CarPlay constantly failed to connect, and when this happens you can’t keep re-trying it’s simply won’t connect.
The trouble is when this issue happens. Bluetooth also doesn’t seem to connect. There’s been times when an error has come up saying you can’t use this function while in a call however I’ve never been in a call.

I’ve got my service booked in a few weeks and will bring this up, but just wondering if anyone has found any long-term solutions?
The only solution I’ve had is to reboot the system and put it in simple mode

Which in one instance was not a great option? When I was driving in a location I wasn’t familiar with and couldn’t connect. Yes, you can drive in simple mode, but considering the last update said it was fixing CarPlay issues this is actually worse

Has anyone fitted a rear windscreen mounted dashcam?

Is there a suitable powered take off in a convenient location (preferably so I can hide the wire).
I would prefer to know if this is viable before removing trim etc to look for one

Hello! Does anyone know how to properly remove the factory anti-glare layer from a BYD center console screen?

I accidentally peeled part of the factory anti-glare layer. This is not the protective film. I’m thinking of removing the entire layer, but it’s extremely difficult to remove. I already tried using alcohol and a plastic scraper, but the coating just chips into tiny pieces.

I have purchased a BYD Seal from Bochane that was advertised as new with a 2026 year of manufacture. Only after the purchase was completed and I received the official vehicle documents did it become clear that the registered year of manufacture is 2024.

I was aware that this model has existed for some time and that older models can still be produced in later years. My concern is therefore not about the model year itself, but about the fact that the advertisement explicitly stated a 2026 year of manufacture, while the official documentation shows 2024. For many buyers this is a significant difference, and it should have been made clear to me beforehand.

I advise future buyers to check the official vehicle data — such as the year of manufacture and the vehicle documents — before signing anything, and not to rely solely on the advertisement. This is my personal experience. I expect a professional car dealer to ensure that the information in an advertisement matches the official vehicle documentation.

Bochane responded to my complaint, but in my view did not address the core issue: the discrepancy between the advertised 2026 year of manufacture and the 2024 year shown in the official documentation. BYD has also been informed of my complaint, including the European management, but I have not received any substantive response.

As far as I know, a similar issue has occurred in Australia regarding the stated year of manufacture of BYD vehicles. This shows that correctly listing the year of manufacture is not a minor detail, but a topic that has led to legal proceedings elsewhere as well.
