Give me your favorite and least favorite characters.

I'm not the first to do this by any means, but the first here atleast.

I can’t believe what I just saw

I just used screaming line drive with Stephanie and the ball bounced off the left fielder’s head back toward the infield, bounced around where the circle is, and then continued out of play. 🤣

Bb2001. Help me build a power hitters team.

So what I do is I play on easy mode with Power Hitters and every game is like a home run derby. My goal is 1000 runs in 14 games (9 innings). No im not 5, im 36 lol. This is just how I've always played. I usually get at least two games with over 100 runs scored. My favorite team to use is

Pablo Sanchez

Achmed Khan

Keisha Phillips

Mark McGuire

Sammy Sosa

Barry Bonds (Main Pitcher)

Ken Griffey Jr

Jose Canseco

Larry Walker

I experimented with swapping Larry for Cal Ripken Jr because I read that the entire team gets a boost. But I didnt notice much. Mark, Achmed, Sammy, and Ken all had +1 to pitching but thats all I noticed. Cal had Batting and Running maxed out the first game and I had 5 home runs with him but after wards he was just meh. Any changes you would make to this line up knowing my goals? Thanks.

Hobartians?!?

D3 Baseball regionals, Hobart is playing today. Sadly their nickname is the Statesmen, not the Hobartians. Somewhere, Chuck Downfield is sad.

How do I slide in Backyard Baseball '01 instead of change direction?

I've searched just about every form of this question i can think of and haven't been able to find an answer. Any time i try to slide into a base, my player ends up turning around and immediately getting tagged out even tho the arrow is facing forwards toward the base I want them to slide into.

While I'm here, is there a button to make everyone on base run to the next one at the same time? Clicking everyone individually can sometimes mess me up

Worst Team 2- I think this is the Actual Worst Team

After going 15-2 to win the Cereal Bowl I removed our best two players (Angela and Gretchen) and replaced them with Sally and Stinky. This resulted in a massive drop to 1-13.

I am convinced the actual most important stat is blocking/tackling. If the other team got the ball on any of the three sides they were in a very real position to score. For us it meant we could not block, which makes big plays way harder.

One of the key themes of the season is that when the game was close, and we needed a hero, we could count on Luanne to fail us entirely. She dropped so many long touchdowns on 3rd and forever, and she gave up so many tackles inside the 20 that resulted in long touchdowns.

On special teams Jorge did a good job kicking including a field goal from the 38. Unfortunately every time we punted there was a real chance they would run it all the way back. On kickoffs we were in huge trouble. We gave up so many touchdowns, as only Danny and Billy Jean could tackle their return men.

On offense this is the worst offense I ever had by far. We tried several WRs before deciding we needed Stinky and Jorge there by default. We tried Danny, as he was our actual best WR, but it just meant Jorge/Ronny kept getting strip sacked for touchdowns. Having WRs who cannot find the ball, run, or block was the biggest issue. They not only failed to catch it, but they regularly fumbled it when they did catch it. They were also horrible at knocking it in the air.

Hocus Pocus was basically useless, so we wanted the leap frog and sonic boom power ups.

On every gimmick team the slices play has been a major source of offense, not this time. They kept knocking it up straight to the defense. Granted every offensive play was turnover prone.

Billy Jean was the best Center we had, but she really stank. If I ever tried to check my second option it meant Danny was crushed. In contrast with Angela I regularly had time to check all three options. On turnovers she was terrible at saving the touchdown, while Angela was great at this last season.

I know Stinky has a 1 speed, and is well slower than Angela. I think her arms also had a one speed, as she reacted to the ball being thrown her way so slowly. So did Jorge, as they both regularly just stood there as the ball landed right next to them.

On defense we were awful. The best way to beat us was just run it down the middle. Our worst defensive game was number 3. They used a fullback and Pete at RB and just pounded the ball.

Last season Billy Jean and Jorge racked up the interceptions. This time they only did the final few games. Danny could not get the pash rush going. They did their best in the final 3 games when I switched their sides, which somehow really helped.

We could not cover Marky. In both games we played him he looked like Rob Gronkowski.

The hardest defense to play was the Wombats, due to them having Angela at CB. It shut out Luanne's running game, and she had no problem crushing our WRs.

MVP- Danny. He was our best tackler making him feel like he was easily our best player. In our one win the MVP was Jorge.

I am disappointed Stinky never got a touchdown. She at least got a safety.
