I was looking up tutorials and all of them used straight balloons. I went to the store for regular balloons but thought it might be fun to try something else but couldn’t find any videos using these.

I'm really growing as a balloon artist and have started to make my own designs. The cat is from Isopresso balloon on Youtube. The bodies of Mario and Shrek are copies of the 2-balloon spiderman by Michael Floyd / Balloon animals on youtube. But a lot of it is my own design work :)

Whoever created this balloon decoration is truly creative; through their creativity, they have breathed the spirit of Michael Jackson into those balloons.😅

To me it is balloons popping while making them. Its always a surprise and makes me jump. One balloon popping is no problem. Two is embarrassing and three is a nightmare. I had three balloons pop on me in a row. The person waiting hot disinterested and walked aways disappointed. To me, that is bad for business. I dont like not being able to make everything they ask for, but not being able to make something you say you can make, please help.. LOL.....

What is the worst balloon thing to happen to you while entertaining a groups of people.

I totally forgot how to make this. I didnt get it from Instructions. I just put it together using two 260s. Out of my imagination. And now i cant remember how to make it. I also used to be able to make a dolphin using one balloon, but i forgot that as well. I hope to add more shapes not less LOL...

Do you ever forget how to do something you used to make?

Hey guys, long term lurker first time poster.

I wanted to see if any veterans had any tips for busking at an event like pride and wanted to share my experience and some things I learned.

I had my first outing last night and cut it short tonight. I managed to get $100 total my first night twisting from 10pm-2am. I had a half apron, 100 balloons and my trusty balloon menu which I hastily printed in greyscale. It was a bit of an impromptu decision to go out. I literally called out like a town crier at a few select locations and got customers that way. It was an awkward first half hour but then I fell into a groove and got my spiel down pretty fast. Tonight I tried the same but crowds were much denser this close to the parade and I had opened a new pack of Kalisan balloons and they kept exploding, like every second balloon would pop. I'm sticking with Decomex for now, they are what I'm used to and are pretty tough but I'm open if anyone else has recommendations. I made an email and Instagram after the first night, everyone kept asking and I had nada. The email was good for etransfers, some people sent 12-15 bucks that way.

Going forward I think I need a sign or T-shirt that advertises free balloon animals so I don't need to holler so much and A sign printed HD in colour. I also noticed I got a few customers when I was twisting for others and some people gathered to watch. I have a busking license and I saw another balloon guy in the space who had a cart to hang some balloons.

All round it was a fun experience and I met a lot of wonderful people (and also one or two scary creepy ones). If you're thinking of trying a festival or busking go for it. Google what you need and do it, if nothing it's great practice and makes people happy. I'm also happy to answer any questions about doing the festival.
