My Chocolate Labrador Lashley was Abandoned without my knowledge. I'm Still Looking for Him.

This post is a part of my final attempt to find my chocolate labrador lashley who was abandoned 5 years ago by my father. I will first post a short introduction before explaining lashley's story in detail.

About Lashley:

Chocolate Labrador Retriever

Nicknames: Boochie, Dachaley, Laboli

Distinctive white patch on his chest also known as bolo marks

Age when he was abandoned - 3 1/2 years old

Current age - 8 to 9 years old

Last known area: Domlur, Bengaluru (near Jogupalya, Indiranagar & Ulsoor)

If anyone living in Bangalore recognizes him, knows someone who might have adopted him, or have any information at all—even if it seems insignificant—please leave a comment or contact me through WhatsApp/call +91 8660826795

Detailed explanation of what actually happened & why he was abandoned

Back in 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, my family was going through a very difficult time financially and personally. Also during this time my father was suffering from severe chronic depression and other mental issues. After some time we had just moved to a new house, so my dad left Lashley to stay at my grandmother's house and claimed he would bring him to our new house. My father told me he would bring him to our new home once everything settled down. But few months passed by and this did not happen. During that time I used to visit him during the weekends. Some of the pics & videos i have posted here are during that time

So one day without my knowledge, according to my grandmother's account he claimed to take lashley for a walk and when he had returned lashley wasn't there with him. When he was asked about it he told her he had sold it or given it to someone but did not mention the specifics like to whom. When he came home he did not tell us about this. A few days later, my father took his own life at my grandmother's house. It was only then that we found out. During that time, our family was consumed by the shock, grief , funeral, legal matters, and everything that followed after my father's death so our thoughts were consumed by this and finding lashley wasnt at the forefront of our minds I also did not want to disturb my mother and other family members by bringing this up.

After some time we decided to search for lashley but had no idea where he went or with whom he was. We visited some well known breeders and rescue organisations but couldn't find him. Also found out that my father had also given away lashley's vaccination certificates & other things like prescriptions from the vets. So i had lost hope and finally decided that it was almost impossible to ever see him again. I loved him so much and wanted to be with him till his final years this was what made it so bad. I couldn't even see him to wish him a final goodbye before he left me. He was an extremely expressive and affectionate lab who always loved to be around me. I can't imagine how panicked and lost he must have felt after he was given away. He loved me like no other dog ever did. So I just suppressed those memories and went on with my life. But it just didn't work. For the past few months I have been feeling intense regret that I didn't do enough to find him, that I had in a way betrayed him. I kept dreaming about him regularly - both positive and disturbing dreams. So i finally decided I need to make a final and serious attempt to find him before he leaves this world. I want to be with him through his final years.

My search efforts will be both offline and online - I will visit every rescue organisation, veterinary clinics , breeders, pet boarding schools and kennels in my city. I will also be creating pages on every social media platform where I will be documenting and updating my search efforts. Even if the search fails i atleast get to preserve lashley's memories and get to tell his story to many. Hope this post wasn't too long. Thank you for reading

I built a music theory tool because I struggled to understand theory myself

As a music producer, I’ve always found music theory harder to understand than it needed to be, especially chord progressions, scales and intervals.

So I built Amonra Theory to make those concepts easier to understand and actually apply to music.

It’s still under development, but I’d love some feedback from other musicians and producers.

Try it here: https://amonratheory.in

If you find any bugs, you can report them at help@amonratheory.in

Looking to form an experimental/alternative rock + Indian fusion band in Bangalore 🎸

Hey everyone! I’m a vocalist + guitarist based in Bangalore, looking to start a band from scratch.
I’m into experimental/alternative rock, grunge, prog, and Indian fusion, and I want to make original music that blends these influences into something unique rather than just playing covers.
Looking for drummers, bassists, guitarists, keyboardist, or anyone who’s into experimenting and creating something different.
If you’re serious about music and want to build something of our own, drop me a DM!

Live Gig at a resort - Paid

I have this ad hoc request to organize and produce a live music event at a resort about 80 Kms away from Bangalore. Can't disclose the location due to NDA, but assure you, its a really good one. Expecting a mix of Western, Hindi and skip in a couple of Kannada hits. The audience would be a mix and so, both slow and soulful as well as feet tapping. About 2 hours and 2 session for about 100 audience.

If that sounds like a good gig, DM me and preferably a link to your recording because I will need to put it up for the management to pick. Also state your realistic comp expectations (it's a low budget thing), but should give you a good reference (if you are a budding band).

I haven't done any gig setup before and so, be gentle and comment if there are any specifics I should be looking for .

Part-time Music Teacher needed in Jayanagar, Bangalore — ₹18–20k/month | Mon–Fri, 4–7 PM

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a part-time music teacher to join me at a music program for children in Openhouse Jayanagar, Bangalore.

I currently run the music program at Openhouse Jayanagar (a learning center for children), teaching children roughly between the ages of 5–10. I’m looking for someone to take the weekday batches from Monday to Friday, 4–7 PM.

What I’m looking for

The program involves teaching:

  • 🎹 Keyboard
  • 🥁 Drums
  • 🎸 Ukulele

You do not need to be proficient in all three instruments. What I’m primarily looking for is someone who is well-versed in at least one of them and has a good foundation in music.

If you're comfortable with one or two instruments but aren't familiar with the others, that's completely fine — I can train and guide you on the remaining instruments, as well as on our curriculum and teaching methodology. You won't be expected to walk in already knowing everything.

More importantly, you should enjoy working with kids, be patient and engaging, and be comfortable teaching beginners. Prior experience teaching children is a plus, but I'm open to musicians who haven't formally taught before if they feel they'd be good at working with kids.

The role

  • Days: Monday–Friday
  • Timings: 4–7 PM
  • Total: 15 hours/week
  • Pay: ₹18,000–₹20,000/month
  • Location: Jayanagar 8th Block, Bangalore
  • Teaching primarily children aged 5–10
  • Training and guidance provided
  • You'll work directly with me, and I'll be managing/coordinating the music program
  • We can also cover for each other when either of us needs to take leave

The location is important — since this is a part-time role with 3-hour evening shifts, I'd ideally like someone who lives reasonably close by and won't have to spend a huge amount of time commuting.

This would be particularly suited to a musician, music teacher, college student/graduate, or someone looking for a stable part-time evening teaching gig alongside their other work.

If you're interested, please DM me with a little bit about yourself, which instrument(s) you play, your teaching experience (if any), where you're based in Bangalore, and your availability. If you have any recordings/videos of you playing or teaching, feel free to share those as well.

Happy to answer any questions in the comments!

A free stage for Bangalore's musicians, no auditions, no catch, just come play

Hey everyone,

Wanted to share something with the community here, hopefully it's useful to some of you.

Finding a place to actually perform in this city can be tough. Real stages, real audiences, and no pressure to be "ready" or vetted first, those aren't easy to come by, especially when you're just starting out or want to try new material in front of actual people.

So we run something called The TMSB Open Stage, and honestly the idea behind it is pretty simple: give Bangalore's musicians a proper stage, completely free.

How it works:

  • Every second Saturday of the month, 6 to 8 PM, in Shanthinagar
  • Open to everyone, singers, instrumentalists, rappers, beatboxers, bands, any genre
  • No auditions, no entry fee, no restrictions
  • Play originals, covers, whatever you like, or just come hang out and listen

We're not trying to sell anything here. We just really believe the city's music scene gets better when musicians have places to play and people to play for, so we wanted to put this out there, no strings attached.

If you'd like to perform, you can register here: https://zfrmz.com/A6fobg4rOzQN1vcBUEpS

And if you just want to come listen, you're more than welcome. Would be lovely to see some of you there.

Solo Music Enthusiast

Ive always wondered how does someone solo go to a club or a pub or as a matter of fact just somewhere there’s music, just because i want to listen to some good music and vibe.

Im new to the city and having never lived in a tier 1 city like Bangalore i was very excited to come here and get to meet people who like music and can go ways searching for it but for now i just cannot find the place or the people who are looking for the same thing as i am.

I go crazy for concerts, before even moving to blr i booked a single ticket to fred again hoping to find a group of people whom i could go with. Is it even realistic or am I being delusional? I really want to go to adam port, sunburn, also rolling loud in mumbai. Ive been to coldplay, sunburn goa, travis scott, couple more sunburn’s, honey singh etc., but at that time i was in uni and had a group of friends i could go with which is not the case now. Anyone feels the same? Lets connect!

A little about my taste in music - Im a sucker for rap, trap, hip hop, r&b, techno, melodic, progressive, house, psytrance. Im also into country & blues. So basically everything just never explored rock&pop soo much. I wanna get into jazz and drum&bass. Im also a music producer since 2016, rn i don’t produce so much but rather do mixing mastering for my friends who rap and such for their tracks.

Reddit, do your thing!

My experience joining The Music School Bangalore so far

Okay so a little while ago I was feeling completely stuck with music. I really wanted to get better but had no idea how to actually go about it, and honestly every option for learning just felt intimidating. I wasn't seeing myself improve at all, which got really discouraging after a while. Joining The Music School Bangalore kind of turned that around for me. Since starting, I've picked up stuff I didn't even know I was missing, like actual stage presence, and this growing sense of being comfortable as, I guess, my own kind of artist? I've got a much better grip on music theory now too, and somewhere along the way I ended up with a proper little network of other musicians, which I really didn't expect going in. The classes themselves are open and genuinely fun, but they always leave me with something new to chew on. I pretty much walk out of every session having learned something about music, or just the whole music world, that I had no clue about before. Some things that have really stood out to me: The infrastructure is properly good The people you meet there, the network is real The tutors actually know their stuff, and they're also just lovely and easy to talk to. Admin and faculty are refreshingly straight with you There's flexibility, but they also keep you accountable, which I've come to appreciate more than I thought I would. And it's genuinely good value for the money Comparing myself now to when I started, I'm way more comfortable on stage, a lot more confident in general, and I'm actually seeing progress for once. I've also gotten weirdly good with all the equipment, on stage and off, which was never even on my radar. Anyway, if you're in Bangalore and feeling stuck with music like I was, it's been a really good experience for me so far. Happy to answer anything if you're curious.😁😁

Looking for the best over-ear headphones under 3,000/-

I’m looking to buy a wireless over-ear headphone under 3,000/-
I’m currently considering:
boAt Rockerz 650 Pro for the specs/features
And
Noise Airwave Max XR for the design

But I’ve seen some reviews mentioning that the maximum volume is low and the sound isn’t as clear.

My priorities are:
🎵 Good music quality
🎸 Good instrument separation/detail.
I want to be able to hear guitars, vocals, melodies.
💪 Mainly gym + everyday use
🎧 Must be over-ear Wireless
Budget: under 3,000/-

Between these two, which would you pick?
And are there any better options from other brands under 3,000/- that I should consider?

Would especially appreciate opinions from people who have actually used these headphones.
