So I have finally gathered up the courage to ditch my beloved Beosound Stage for my dream surround setup, starting with just the Theatre.
Since I’m a bit of a basshead, and found the Stage lacked the lower frequencies and that physical rumble, will the Theatre likely satisfy me, or would it give the sound a great low end addition to add a Beolab 19?
Theatre will be mounted on floor stand and not my wall like the Stage, if that makes any difference.
Currently only a used BL 19 is within my budget, but I plan to get 18’s or maybe an additional A9 down the road.
Hi guys I found a gorgeous headphone on someone's instagram and she replied on comments saying it's b&o's discontinued model(she said that she bought it years ago) but didn't say a specific product code.
I've tried to find the specific model but it seemed quite doubtful that it is a b&o headphone.
And then, I found one that looks similar at a online mall and it's definitely cheap Chinese product costs about 15 dollars.
So now there are only two possible conclusions.
What do you guys think?
Four special edition products. Only interested in H100 and Beosound A1 gen3. Price is more expensive than the already special edition brown color 😣. For H100 it will be 2400 USD, 1700£, 2000€. I don't know about A1.
THEY LOOK HOT!!!! Coming globally June 3rd.
Recently picked up a Beocenter 9500 and have also been looking into getting a B&O record player to replace my current Audio-Technica record player. Recently saw a nice Beogram 5500 pop up on Marketplace. I'm still pretty new to the B&O cables and adapters and whatnot, I know the 9500 has a phono-in and a preamp, would there be any issue with me hooking the 5500 to the 9500 and would I need an adapter/a special cable of some kind?
Hi
I need a recommendation on which headphone will sound better for Rock and Hip Hop music. I am using Spotify lossless over Bluetooth
I owned H100 but not quite happy with sound and only AAC codec.
I need a headphone what is not sibiliant fatiguing and have nice sound on mids/vocal and backgrounds. Which one should I pick up ?
My EX’s broke around 3 months ago and I sent for repair, no luck so a couple of weeks later they sent me a set of Elevens as a replacement, lucky me..!
The connectivity on the Elevens is HORRIBLE. I have to reconnect multiple times, otherwise I deal with lossy playback whatever I am listening to. I’m listening to a podcast and I’ll lose 3-4 seconds out of every 60s just in to the aether.
Google seems to suggest I’m not the only one with connectivity complaints; any recommendations on how to fix or do I need to ask for replacement again?
It’s not like I can refund them, they were a returns replacement, and besides I’ve had B&O for 8 years now and these are the first issues, so I want to give benefit of the doubt…
I'm trying to build my B&O home theater from scratch — need help figuring out which setup is actually worth the money
After doing some research, the setup that seems the most capable is the Theatre + a pair of 28s as fronts + a pair of 8s as surrounds, but honestly the price tag on that is getting pretty steep.
The most budget-friendly option would be the Premiere + a pair of 8s as surrounds, and maybe throwing in another pair of 8s or 28s as fronts to step it up a bit.
Here's my dilemma — I'm genuinely not sure whether the more expensive setups are actually worth the jump in price. The problem is I have no way to audition these systems in person where I live, so I can't just go try them all back to back.
Anyone here run any of these configs? Which one actually gives you the most bang for your buck? Is the top-tier combo a legit upgrade or am I just paying for the brand flex at that point?
I've spoken long time ago with a B&O seller and he told me they get a lot of requests for a fully black H100 and the company knows that! So after a long wait we'll get one. I think I'll get it with my Brown H100 for a perfect pair 😁
Can anyone tell me how the portals compare sound wise to some of the older models.
My only real reference are the h4, h8i and h9i
I have obtained a few speakers, but I am not sure how to set them up. I have four Beolab 8000s, one Beolab 4000, one AV 7000 (No. 2346), two converters, and two remotes. Is it difficult to make this work since it is more complicated than a regular sound system, or would it be better to put them up for sale? My knowledge in this area is limited, so any help would be appreciated.
I love the sound of my new A5, but I am finding the I have to constantly reset the Sound Mode to Optimal and the directionality to Front. Why can’t the app retain these choices? It keeps changing back to Sound Mode None and Front/Back directionality. Am I doing something wrong?
My 4002 is taking a break got old faithful out to spin some records.
I’ve got an offer for a bronze M5 used for (3000 DKK - 465 $) and I know it is not the best sound island this one produces, but I have a kitchen iceland where I need something for not critical listening. I’ve already got Stage, Kef LS50 Metas and a bunch of hi-fi headphones like Focal Clear and Sennheisser 650. The Beosound 2 would be ideal option but it is just so expensive and the firing of the CEO and currently no clear direction of the company I can’t wait for Bang and Olufsen to drop prices to be acceptable for normal people.
I know the bass is boomy on M5 but maybe I could EQ it in the app. And maybe also have it multiroom connected to the Stage.
So what do you guys think? HomePod is rumoured to have an upgrade but who knows when that will come out. Otherwise I haven’t found something hi-fi that is 360 degrees sound and that is affordable. I need something with AirPlay that is connected to power all the time. On the kitchen table I have the A1 3rd gen but that requires to be turned on the button and also drains my phone battery a lot during the day. Any recommendations?
Speed shift is happening occasionally on my Beogram 4002, pitch dropping rapidly and then it seems to stabilize. Is this behaviour likely due to oxidized speed trimmers and failing capacitors in the servo circuit or does a DC motor with dry bearings show this erratic behaviour? Motor runs pretty silently, no obvious friction noise. Same behaviour with original and new belt, and cleaning the subplatter and motor pulley did not help. I would like to think dry motor bearings would leave the motor running constantly out of speed or be mechanically noisey.
Drastic short drop in speed happening mid-video, after 9-10 sec.
Is it likely an electrical or mechanical failure? Or maybe a combination?
Not sure if this belongs here….
How’s this for weird.
I have Beolab 5’s with a BeoSound 5 and they play right channel high. Drives me crazy.
Beolab 5’s are on option 0 and turn on with the Beosound 5.
BUT if I put the BL5 on link option 1 (and turn them on with the radio button) they play balanced and sound way better.
Then if I change them back to option 0 and turn them on with the Beosound 5 (the way they were before) they sound perfect, just as they did when they were previously on option 1.
What in this process of changing them to option 1 and then back to option 0 is making them perform correctly.
They’ll play fine for a day or two like this then I’ll need to go through this process again.
I should mention that they are connected with digital coax and fully wired powerlink. They are mark 1.
I've recently purchased a second hand BS9000 and i'd like to know what the most cost effective way to connect a BS9000 wirelessly to a non B&O soundbar? I see this may be able to be achieved via a BS Connect but I wanted to know if thats the appropriate item to purchase and if there are any alternatives.
For reference, I plan to mount the BS9000 vertically on a wall that is not near my Samsung HW-Q990C. My goal is the following:
- Play CD's (and possibly radio) from the BS9000 and stream the audio to my soundbar either via wifi or bluetooth.
I have searched google and reddit and I'm having trouble finding information on how to do this. I do see that heavenlysounds makes cables and gives advice on how to achieve this however, I live in the US and he doesn't seem to be giving advice to US customers at the moment.
Any help would be appreciated.
Id love to rewire my h95 to use the jack in passive mode. Is this even possible?
