Picked up a couple of new to me items - Beolab & Beomaster
A Beolab 2 to fill out the sound on the 8000s (makes a hug difference) and a refurbished Beomaster 6000, full working, great condition

I use the original connection from Beogram 5500 to B&W 706 passive( bare wire not banana plug)and found the volume is too low. Any insights for right connection and cables to make it work?
I don’t have vintage B&O passive speakers but this 5500 worked well with beolab 4000 and 6000 thru RCA connection.
Hi everyone! Just got the beo grace today but the press controls aren’t working at all on either bud and the near touch doesn’t work 99% of the time. Did anyone else experience this and have a solution?
Today, in the Danish newspaper Børsen, B&O said that the disappointing launch of the Beosound Premiere was down to the wrong pricing and too few colour options.
I think that’s a misread. It failed because it’s ugly. It’s as simple as that.
Its bulbous, organic design is a million miles away from the sharp, clean, timeless lines that made B&O a global design icon for decades. The problem isn’t the price or the colour palette - it’s the product itself. It worries me they haven’t spotted that.
Rather than trying to fix the Premiere with different colours and pricing, B&O should have evolved the Beosound Stage — a great-looking speaker that actually speaks the classic B&O design language.
Hi all,
I got my beoplay H95's replaced via warranty service a few months ago because the power switch failed after a few months. The replacement pair was delivered and is working, but the right ear cup drags when I am rotating it and makes a bit of a grinding sound. The left ear cup rotates freely. Is it worth re-submitting for warranty service? I don't want to make an unnecessary claim, but I am worried about future damage, and also, for $1250 I do kind of expect perfection.
Curious for y'alls input. Thanks!
Would it work in order to play vinyl? Or would I need something like a Wiim Mini, for example, in the middle, besides the preamp?
As a long fan of B&O, I have always dreamt of owning a whole system, but could not afford the price. But when this Bang and Olufsen Beogram 5500, Beogram cd 6500, Beocord 5500, beomaster 6500, and beomaster control panel 6500 for only 2100dkk (about 280€) looked at me at the flea market, I couldn’t give up on my dream. I Quickly bought a matching set of beovox cx 50 and and new belt for the turntable, and it plays perfectly. What a find, and please correct me if im wrong, the color of white should be pretty rare on this setup. Hope you like my find!
For the people that have experience with both, I intend to use the A5 out & about but also stationed in a shelf in my bedroom where my Sonos Five is right now.
Should I keep both or would the A5 be plenty enough?
Hi everyone - I picked up a beocenter 7000 on marketplace a month or two ago, when I first set it up the tone arm did return to its original place but that now has stopped, I set up the speakers that came with it and no sound was coming from the tape, radio or phono, I also plugged in headphones with the same no output issue.
The phono doesn’t seem to work, it spins when I hold the “turn” button albeit very slowly, all the lights work and the display works.
• Pressing PHONO displays 00:00 and the counter begins counting occasionally.
• Pressing TURN or PHONO causes a click when pressed and another click when released.
• If I hold TURN, the platter rotates.
• If I release TURN, the platter stops.
• The platter previously appeared to move a few degrees when commanded to start but that’s stopped now.
• The tonearm carriage did move previously but no longer.
• No obvious signs of damage.
• The cartridge is installed and the stylus is present.
• Radio/tuner functionality is not working via headphones or speakers.
A few questions for those familiar with these systems:
Does this sound like a common BeoCenter 7000 / tangential tracking mechanism issue?
Is there a sensor, belt, or lubrication issue that would allow the platter to run only while TURN is held?
Would a failure in the automatic sequence prevent the tonearm from lowering even though the cartridge and arm appear intact?
Any service manual sections or troubleshooting procedures I should follow before taking it to a repair shop?
Did I buy a brick? 😭
Thanks in advance. Excited to get this system fully working!
Howdy! I recently got a Bang and Olufsen RX2 for my dad for his Christmas present this December and am trying to figure out the best receiver to get to go with it? I want to get him something that will allow him to get the best sound out of the RX2. Any speaker recommendations too? I just want to get him everything he needs now so that he can set it up on Christmas and not need to hunt for anything.
I’m considering buying a BeoMaster 5 together with the BeoSound hard drive, and I’m wondering how well such a setup would work in 2026.
My current setup is not B&O – I simply have a regular amplifier and speakers. My idea would be to connect the BeoMaster 5 to my existing amplifier and use it primarily as a music server, playing FLAC files stored on the BeoSound hard drive.
Would this still be a sensible solution today, or are there any major limitations I should be aware of? Is the BeoMaster 5 still reliable and practical to use as a FLAC music server in 2026?
I’m also interested in the multiroom possibilities.
If I understand correctly, there are various active B&O speakers that can be used in a multiroom setup. Would it be possible to have, for example, an active B&O speaker in the kitchen and connect it directly to the BeoMaster 5 / BeoSound system, so that I could play music from the BeoSound in the kitchen as well? Or and old amp, and speaker connected with Powerlink-analog RCA converter?
Or would I need additional B&O equipment to make something like this work?
I’d be very interested to hear from anyone who is still using a BeoMaster 5 in 2026?
parents passed down this player and i'm really excited about it (i collect cds and my gf collects tapes)
it didn't come with the power cable and doesn't seem to have a stand of any kind at the bottom. they also lost the remote. any advice on where to start with getting this up and running? no prior experience with b&o but excited to get started
a few Qs:
what is the specific name of the power cable? for it to be plugged into the player and a wall outlet
where to look for a replacement remote? would it be functional without a remote?
the fabric has a few stains and a couple minor holes, would these be replaceable? (not urgent)
is it wall mountable? any advice on this?
appreciate it :-)
Hi, I just wanted to share a concept for a more interactive, cool, and informative way to choose CDs on the BS9000.
It functions both as a CD selector and as storage for the empty CD covers. As I take the concept further, it will become a shelf or table setup that can be placed anywhere in the living room.
I would also like to add an LED that shines on the CD currently playing.
It's all controlled through a ESP32, Home assist and a BLGW connected to the BS9000.
Have a good Sunday!
Picked this up at my local car boot last Sunday for £10 and it was in an extremely sorry state.
It’s one of those car boots where a lot of sellers have permanent pitches, and this looked like it had been sat outside baking in the sun for at least a couple of weeks. The soft-touch rubber coating had completely broken down into a horrible sticky, gooey mess covering my hands.
Given the state of it, I wasn’t expecting it to work. I mainly bought it because it came with an immaculate Beo4 remote, which had been kept inside a plastic sleeve and genuinely feels brand new.
Got it home, plugged it in and it fired straight up.
I stripped the failed rubber coating off using a combination of IPA, petrol, engine degreaser and plastic scrapers, then sanded the casing down and repainted it satin black. It’s come up far better than I expected and the screen itself is in excellent condition, so thankfully all the problems seem to have been cosmetic.
It’s currently living in my spare room. A friend is hopefully sending me a B&O DVD 1, so I’m planning on turning it into a little DVD setup once I find a small sofas or lounge chair for the spare room.
It sounds excellent too. Tonight I’ve got my old Fire Stick hooked up to it for a bit of YouTube Music.
I honestly really can't believe it's the same TV, but it is.
Just bought a beogram and beomaster with 2 matching standing speakers on marketplace. At first, cd player worked but sound only came out of one speaker. Now it’s not being recognized by the beomaster. The aux port works I’m playing music from my phone and everything works. Idk what to do It’s a beogram/beomaster 4500
My wife and I unknowingly bought a beosound century that is is a European model, so a 240v appliance. To be able to run this in my home in the US can I buy a step up transformer to run the speaker? Any guidance is appreciated.
$2,200 for headphones is actually RIDICULOUS. Bang and Olufsen has cool aluminum design, but there's no shot it's worth $2,200. $1,000 maybe.
I tried to update my Beo Grace for the latest version v2.0.9, during the update the case was dead, no lights on when charging, no connections, B&O App can’t find the case, is there anyone having the same issues? The new version sucks, I’ve already contacted the customer service, I will update here for your references.
Hi! I just started a new job that involves being on calls pretty frequently, and I’m realizing I need to invest in a good pair of earbuds. I really don’t like wearing headsets, and unfortunately I’m also one of those people whose ears seem to reject 90% of earbuds lol.
I recently lost my AirPods, so I figured this might be a good excuse to replace them with something nicer. I’m planning on going into a Bang & Olufsen store tomorrow to actually try some on and see how they fit, but I wanted to hear from people who have owned B&O earbuds before.
I’m 22, so obviously dropping this much on earbuds is a pretty significant purchase for me, but it’s something I can afford if they’re genuinely worth it. Sound quality is extremely important to me, and because I’d be using them for work, mic/call quality is equally important. I don’t fuck around when it comes to stereos and speakers, so if I’m spending a lot on earbuds, I want them to be in line with that.
For anyone who owns or has tried B&O earbuds: what do you love about them? What do you dislike? How’s the mic quality on calls, especially in an office environment? And how comfortable are they for a few hours at a time?
Also curious if there’s a particular model you’d recommend I try tomorrow, or anything I should specifically test/pay attention to while I’m at the store.
Thanks!!
