These dolls are my holy grails and I can’t believe I got them for such a good price!! The Three Musketeers was my favorite movie as a child and I’ve been looking for these dolls FOREVER. I’m still missing Viveca and their hair needs some work, but I’m so grateful that I found them. (especially Renee!)
i’ve always wondered what other people’s take on this is. i don’t think i dislike any barbie movie that gets a lot of hype but a movie that i see a lot of hate for is barbie rock n royals. i love that movie so much that i added most of the songs in my playlist.

I recently pulled all of my Barbie movie dolls out of storage and decided to take pictures of my entire collection. It looks like not able to upload videos as well as picture, so for now here are some photos. 😄 I’ve been collecting since I was a teenager around 2017/2018. I’m now 27 and it’s my goal to collect as many Barbie movie dolls I possibly can. My whole life I’ve been a big Barbie girl and I grew up watching the movies. These movies mean so much to me! My favourite movie has to be Barbie as Rapunzel 🎨 and my favourite doll is Odette from Barbie of Swan Lake 🦢

I have them (very loosely) in release order, and there’s more, large pieces in my collection that are packed away. My whole collection is second hand from thrifts, swap meets, and marketplace. I grew up watching the movies but never owned the dolls, so I’m so happy I can now. Full, non Barbie, collection in the end photo.

I bought this doll today on Vinted, I thought it was hand made by a fan, until I noticed the glitter glue swirls on the top part of the dress, they would of needed the original fabric from the doll, I also just think it’s a little too good. Then there is the doll itself, she looks like the island princess budget doll but she’s not. I’ve included the original dolls in the next 2 slides for comparison.
This is not a Barbie ID post more of a is this a fan made doll or prototype question, I wanted to share this because if it’s a fan made doll, it’s beautiful work, if it’s a prototype then that’s fucking cool 💙🌺
My favorite hobby is hunting through thrift stores, consignment shops, flea markets, antique stores, and any other place Barbies could possibly inhabit!
The thrifting fairies blessed me with some good finds this weekend, I found Genevieve and the Princess and the Pauper carriage!! :O
Decided to create them bc some of the characters like Nori from Mermaidia, Raquelle, Midge from Life in the Dream House, Luciana from Island Princess and the 11 Dancing Princesses for example have size-able fanbases so they’re fans would probably like to have their custom emojis here in the sub so here they are. Hope you like them.
I’m going to send them over to the mods once I’m done with the final touches then I’ll probably will try to do the 4th batch with all the Kens once I have the time.

I liked the Barbie movie with Margot Robbie, but why hasn't Mattel ever moved to make a live action adaptation of one their more popular movies?

Live action remake fatigue is real and noted
The cgi budget for a lot of these would be incredibly bloated as many have pointed out
....that being said at least one or two of the og Barbie movies would be feasible for a live action if that ever happened
It's been almost 5 years since Barbie Brooklyn Roberts debuted in Barbie: Big City, Big Dreams. The character has certainly changed quite a bit in terms of how she's used. What do you think about how she's been handled in the TV shows and movies?

Honestly I don't think it exists but my dad is convinced it does. We've watched barbie movies together for years and recently we've been watching them again to try and find this supposed secret table. We've seen the secret door in, well, The Secret Door, We've seen the secret changing rooms in Secret of The Wings, We've seen the wall in Three Muskateers, thr floor is 12 Dancing Princesses, the waterfal in Swan Lake, etc, really don't think it exists but does anyone think they might know of it.
The character here, Miranda calls it, strawberry swirl , AND I WISH I COULD HAVE IT
