Short hike
Got in a short 3 miles yesterday after work. Cut it short due to how aggressive the bugs are this year.

Long walk in NYC yesterday! Longest in the city since I started full-time barefooting. What a feeling! Feet fine then and today!
Hello! I love running unshod and I can’t stop getting splinters in my feet. I swear I spend more time digging the splinters out of my feet than I do actually running.
For context, I’ve been running barefoot for 5 months now. I feel like I’ve built some decent calluses. I run on either dirt or grass. The splinters tend to be little bits of wood from sticks or tree roots that find their way into my feet.
I do have minimalist shoes to run in but I prefer running barefoot because nothing beats running barefoot.
How in the world do you all run barefoot all the time without getting tons of splinters?
Best tips for removing splinters? For preventing splinters?
And, any suggestions on sandals to run in? I tried Bedrock and hated them; they don’t stay in place. I’m interested in Lunas and Earth Runners but saving up some money to buy some lol!!
Thanks in advance!!!!!
Hey, are there any younger people here who like to walk barefoot? (I'm under 25 myself)
Feel free to message me or leave a comment :)
No idea why I love a wooden boardwalks so much. Maybe memories of beach vacations from younger days. Plus a rare puddle for this time of year thanks to some storms last night.
Nice 4 mile hike that also included a continuous mile of jogging.
Always looking for new texting buddies :)
