Found my holy grail of outfield gloves. A mint NOS with tags Horween TB24 (mine and everyone else’s favourite player growing up - man I miss seeing that swing).

I want to maintain its pristine condition. Any recommendations on conditioning the leather so it doesn’t dry out while also keeping it looking like it does today? I was thinking sarna leather conditioner (liquid or cream?), but if anyone else has some recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thought i'd add a little Friday Levity. This pic from a Series the BJ's had with the Phillies. Here we have Ernie Clement NOT using his brand new player model from Mizuno that was all the rage a couple weeks ago. I had mentioned in a thread that Eddie was the type of guy to say thanks Mizuno, i'm honored and keep using his current glove. I know there are several players out there that don't use there player models but I thought I'd just take a jab at Mizuno for re-making and old model glove at Haga and selling it for $500.

Looking for some advice here. I was on the hunt for one of these for a while and finally was able to buy one from a sporting goods retailer in Canada. My intent was for this to me my last “dad glove” to be used at practice, general catch,etc. Now I’m torn, do I try and preserve this or let it ride?? Was not expecting to see 1/198!

Hoping someone can help me identify the model number of this MacGregor glove I have. Letters on the heel look to be XP 270. Maybe MXP 270

For Sale Only: Marucci Capitol JJ6(Josh Jung) 11.75” M Type. Got this a few months ago for $230. Broke it in dual hinge, glove will close thump to pink but naturally wants to close thumb to ring finger. Gamed it once, played catch 2-3 times. Honestly love the glove but in the process of moving and moving in with the Mrs. So space is a little compromised. I can only afford to keep what I’m actually gaming at the moment. I’m trying to identify this Rawlings glove that I recently came across. I know it’s a Rawlings Trapeze, but I haven’t been able to determine the exact model, year, or market it was originally made for.

Important: these are the seller’s photos, not mine. Unfortunately, this is the best quality/level of detail I was able to get from the seller, so I realize the pictures aren’t great.

A few things I can make out:

Rawlings branding on the wrist

Trapeze web

Very dark brown/black leather

“M. Ohoka” appears inside the wrist

Japanese writing/markings on the thumb side

Rawlings logo on the palm

No obvious model number that I can identify

It appears to be an older, heavily used glove

I’ve searched quite a bit but haven't found another one that matches these markings and construction.

Does anyone recognize this particular Rawlings model, or have any idea approximately when/where it was made?

I’m particularly interested in whether this was a Japanese-market Rawlings model, a US model that was sold/imported in Japan, or perhaps a custom/modified glove.

Also, if anyone can decipher the Japanese markings, that would be extremely helpful.

I know the photos aren't ideal, but unfortunately this is the best the seller was able to provide me with.

Ok, I didn’t get any trade offers I wanted to pull the trigger on, so this sweet Mike Trout trap is now up For Sale! Excellent condition, still could use some breaking in, this trap has a deep pocket like all these traps do! It does have a little dirt stain on the MLB logo, but otherwise is very clean. $287.59 shipped CONUS.

First year 10s for my oldest I bought her an 11.75” Rawlings Liberty Advanced I-Web as she was playing middle IF. After a year we switched orgs, and she ended up playing a lot of OF, but played with the 3/4” because 10u uses an 11” softball.

She is 12u now, so we’ve been prepping with the 12” ball for a month or so. She has been playing catch with a 12.5” Easton Ghost NX, a perfectly good glove - and I told her she needed to use that for OF in 12s and she agreed. It’s been a nuisance for her at practice to switch, but she wasn’t complaining even though I could tell she was annoyed. So my wife and I decided to get her this 12” RLA120-18W to be able to cover both middle IF and OF without changing.

She has been going through the break in process with me, and it has been so much fun to teach her and do it with her!

First new HoH since high school. All tan leather and laces, grey split welting, Vegas gold stitching and embroidery. Red and gold patches.

Just started the break-in and forgot what a tank these things are new.

Aiming for traditional, two hinge, deep (at least as deep as the shallow pattern will allow), a little finger roll, and a slightly flared thumb and pinky.

5. Nike shado elite J mvp pitchers glove: made in Japan, 11.75 inches. Used glove, the hand stall lining that is used in Nike gloves from this era has worn down, but otherwise in good shape and still a solid user

6. Yamamoto glove studio (Ygs) proline (top model) EA3 model: TG North European leather (excellent grip to this leather giving it almost a “squeaky” feel). Hinges are worked in, but otherwise still needs to be broken in to be game ready
