When women complain about men not being held accountable they are thinking of hot guys in their personal life they let get away with bad behavior. When women hear about the alleged "male loneliness epidemic" they think in a just world fallacy kind of way. They are imaging (hoping) the hot drug dealer who cheated on them with their sister is crashing our and crying himself to sleep because he now has no friends. Sorry, he's at a college frat party banging hot chicks and plying the kids with drugs. Women will always forgive Chad. Whats really happening is men who never had any friends or relationships to begin with are being even further isolated because society needs losers even less than ever.

I do want to be fair. There are obviously anecdotal incidents of criminal cases that become highly publicized because a man may have literally gotten away with murder or another heinous crime. Public outrage is totally justified when a judge cooks up some bizarre excuse to let a young rich guy who rapes or beats up a girl off on a light sentence. But we need to understand in the overall picture men are actually being held accountable.

Indeed, the prison reform movement in the USA is at least partially predicated on the belief that prison sentences are often too long. Ostensibly, that means we're being too hard on men. I don't necessarily agree with that, but it is sort of an implication.

Regardless, our criminal justice system is clearly very lenient with women. Probably a little too much so. It's women are not being held accountable in a systemized way. How many men have ever been able to cry their way out of a traffic ticket? Or use their cleavage to avoid a fine? Not too many. Those are privileges women have men don't.
