Just a stone cold emotionless demeanor never really smiling, and only laughs after jumping to his apparent death. Makes you wonder why is making people laugh to death his whole schtick if he’s not a cackling maniac with clownish quirks.

Need to vent about the ending of Caped Crusader cartoon as this finale made no sense to me. Did i miss something??
\--Ok in the show they made Joker a german scientist. He was deadpan and said something about teaching Batman something. Fine whatever they are badically spinning a board to swap and change characters.
He still invented the laughing gas, off screen. They tried to make him say the we are the same speech from Sherlock holmes/ ever other Batman, Joker relationship. And he wanted Batman to relate to him. But the whole two seasons they never showed him, other then watching in the background. He never said while watching "Batmans misguided, oh hes intresting, or i need to show him a better way." Or anything. The fear toxin plan from Batman begins (Christian bale) is what ends up happening but peoples faces are twisted into the classic Joker smile. Ok sure need a city ending event fine, but the actual Joker doesnt have that smile face. And hes serious, so why the laughing fit?? And the serum he stole from Hugo Strange thats like the knock off Bane venom doesnt contort the face. But they never showed Joker working on it or the reason why he did it like that.
He has been monotone like Harley Quin has been. Its like they werent smart enough to make an actual plan -- just like the Riddler-- and they either cut out or thought it was a good twist to only tease the Joker till these final 2 episodes. But none of this plan that was "timed down to the second" makes sense. And not in a oh thats crazy way it just like...is missing context.
Wtf is going on with this show?? Did i miss something?

After finishing season 2, I was watching the new seasons of "Rick and Morty" and now "My Adventures with Superman", and the animation is soooo good on these two. If you watched just the first episode of this season of Rick and Morty you would know that WB have the money to invest in their animated shows. So it sucks to see the Caped Crusader in such a rough state. And the Zero Hour episode proves to IMO how important animation is to this show. I mean think about the original Batman: the Animated Series". How the animation made the show better.
The writing in season 2 was really good. So was the acting. The only thing that detracts from everything is the animation. Voice acting alone can't carry an animated show and WB should have known better than to save money when making a freaking BATMAN show.
(Also there was so little promotion for this season IMO)

I've watched Batman Beyond (the one with Terry as the main character) a couple of years ago and some episodes of Batman: The animated series (from the early to mid 1990s series) mainly the first season. I also watched 'The batman' (another series) back in 2018 or so, its been a while since I have seen it.
I haven't quite watched this yet, but just wanted to know if this series is similar to the other batman series that have been produced in the past? And do villians like Joker, Penguin, Ridler, Clayface, Bane, etc. pop up in this series like the other batman series? and is Alfred the assistant like he is in the comics and various shows and movies?
Title says it all. Show was rated R? I don't believe it. Not at all. We haven't had a Batman animated show that really dealt with those things (ok, a bit with sexism, but they could have done so much more. Yeah, i know people get themselves all wound up about "The Message", but even the Critical Drinker appreciates a good story.
I think adding those extra layers to a 40's era setting would have been great. Better than just race and sex swapping without any meaning.
If she were Batgirl and teamed up with Batman, it would stop being a Gotham City Police show and focus more on Batman, but they treat Barbara and Batman as separate, boring characters.
The show also features all the Robins and they don't do anything with them.
