How do you make custom enemies/units on the mobile android version?

is there a way to play the base game of battle cats in BCU or do you have to make the levels manually?
i've just started the process of downloading bcu and i'm not good at making levels i just wanted to know if you can play the base game in bcu so i don't have to make levels (and half because the boxes that you use to make the level just don't work now)
