A small group of extremists has completely taken over Tarrant County TX leadership and its GOP. They claim democracy is "Mob Rule", that they know better. They're activating pastor networks to fear monger a revived "Red Scare / McCarthyism" movement amongst evangelicals. REJECT THEIR LIES! VOTE!!!!!

REJECT THE BILLIONAIRES. VOTE IN EVERY LOCAL ELECTION.

Those who don't know history are forced to repeat it! They're assuming we're extremely uneducated and lack critical thinking. We need to prove them wrong or this is a failed state. This same cult has worked had to remove mentions of the Red Scare and McCarthyism in social studies education, because they still consider Joseph McCarthy a hero.

Donate, volunteer, get involved, mark your calendar on voting dates, carpool your friends family and colleagues to the polls, and lets stop this hate movement in its tracks.

Their whole movement relies on fear mongering hate speech demonizing classes of people who are different from them. There will ALWAYS be a new hate target, as they do not have a platform based on real world issues important to the people. The people want: affordability, healthcare, jobs, affordable housing. They try to make us fight each other, while looting public funds and dismantling social safety nets for the poor. Do not let hate win.

They believe the public is so uneducated and so unintelligent, that they will fall for this blatant manipulation, a copy and paste job from a disgraced moment in US history. PROVE THEM WRONG.

Over 60% of Clark County didn’t vote! How do we get more of our citizens engaged?

From https://www.sos.wa.gov/elections/data-research/election-data-gand-maps/ballot-return-statistics

The most up to date statistics from the Washington Secretary of State show that about 39% of eligible ballots in Clark County were returned for the 2026 August Primary.

Nearly 61% or 222,000 eligible voters did not return a ballot.

Washington state has some of the most voter friendly elections in the nation, from access to ballots, ease to vote, voter pamphlet information, access to individual ballot tracking, and statistics on accepted and rejected ballots.

So for those who did not return a ballot, I genuinely want to know, what was the reason for not doing so and what can be done to get you to participate in the future?

Deputies use grappler to stop driver during chase

Finding videos takes time and effort; keep me motivated by donating to https://paypal.me/thisisbutter or Cashapp $thisisbutter1

Battle Ground, WA - The Clark County Sheriff's Office released video of their deputies using a grappler device to stop a suspect who led them on a car chase Tuesday on SR-503 through Battle Ground.

The pursuit started at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when deputies found a car linked to several hit-and-run crashes in the Portland area. Officials said the driver was reported as missing and was thought to be in a mental health crisis.

Dashcam video shows the driver crossing into oncoming traffic and hitting several other cars. At one point the chase reached more than 80 mph.

There were no reports of serious physical injury from the incident.

Deputies eventually used a grappler device to safely stop the car and they took the driver into custody. She was taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation and care.

Battle Ground residents: How much are you willing to pay for political division at City Hall?

Battle Ground residents: How much are you willing to pay for political division at City Hall?

Republicans love to campaign on cutting taxes, fiscal responsibility, and making government accountable to taxpayers.

So let’s look at what that looks like in Battle Ground.

The City Council voted 4–3 to fire City Manager Kristina Swanson without cause. Her termination takes effect September 4, and the city is facing more than $300,000 in severance and benefits under her employment contract.

That’s your tax dollars.

And this comes on top of the growing costs of contentious meetings, divisive political battles and decisions that are creating instability at City Hall.

Even Councilmember Shane Bowman questioned how the special meeting was called, saying he had never seen a city manager fired this way and that other council members were not included in the process.

So when Republicans talk about being the party of fiscal responsibility and lower taxes, Battle Ground residents have every right to ask:

Where is the fiscal responsibility?

Where is the accountability for spending $300,000+ of taxpayer money to terminate a city manager without cause?

And where are our Republican elected officials and candidates when their allies are making these decisions?

Rep. Stephanie McClintock, Rep. John Ley, and the Republican Peter Silliman, candidate for Clark County Council who have supported or enabled this direction need to answer to Battle Ground taxpayers.

You cannot campaign on cutting taxes while standing by as local government racks up hundreds of thousands of dollars in unnecessary costs.

It’s about your money. Republicans claim to care about fiscal responsibility and helping working families, but their actions tell a different story. When taxpayers are facing a $600,000+ price tag for political decisions, and proclamations that only divide residents while families are struggling to put food on the table, we have to ask: Where are their priorities?

Battle Ground taxpayers deserve transparency, accountability and responsible government, not political chaos that comes with a six-figure price tag.

If they want to call themselves fiscally responsible, let's hold them to it

Take Her Away!

I honestly don't know anything about the city manager and don't really have an opinion on if she should be fired or not. However, we deserve an explanation. They don't even respect us enough to give us some pretense. They are too lazy to give us a lie, establish a narrative.

This is what people who deem themselves to be autocrats do. They are above reproach. They have been chosen by God for their holy mission to enrich themselves. They are not public servants, they are to be served by the public.

We need to remind them who they really work for.
It's not God
It's not Maddox Industrials and the Spillers
It's not corporate land developers
It's the people of Battle Ground.

Vintage Store

Hello! My husband and I visited Battleground early this April, and we went to this AWESOME second hand/vintage furthest shop. I cannot find it for the life of me online!!! Attached here are photos of a lamp we brought home from there. There’s a downstairs with large house furniture and an upstairs with more, and a whole little area of these lamps and a variety of other things. It was part of a little strip mall kind of thing, and I think the upstairs had a separate sign for the business but they were connected, if that makes sense. Could have been outside of Battleground I suppose but definitely close by. Can anyone help me figure what shop this was?!
