Is grammatically incorrect. This saddens me.

John wrote I am the Walrus partly as a pisstake on the scholars who were analysing the Beatles tracks.
For me Paul topped it when being derided for his granny music and ‘Silly love songs’. He executed the brief perfectly. Ridiculously schmaltzy lyrics. Even ‘better’ chorus and a killer bass line to boot.
And the coup de gras was it shot to number one for 6 weeks.
Must have been laughing himself silly all the way to the bank as it blew his detractors minds.
Love to hear of other contenders.
