What is your solution to arm hair? I'm struggling!

I have hair on my arms and I have been bleaching them for year, but they started to grow a lot so I had to trim them a bit and that's when they started growing darker!! Now when I bleach them, after 2 weeks I need to bleach them again because you can see the dark hair growing.

I don't want to use laser hair removal because that means I will have to shave my arms and it takes a lot of time and sessions to see a result and having to shave my arms and getting darker hair is not a process I want to experience.

Any thoughts about VANIQA? or those oils/creams that stop hair growth?

What's the best skincare hack you've discovered

Everyone seems to have that one skincare hack they swear by, and I'm curious what yours is. Not necessarily an expensive product or a complicated routine, just one simple thing that made a noticeable difference for your skin. What's the best skincare hack you've found that you'd recommend to anyone?

What does your skincare routine look like on days you genuinely can't be bothered?

I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that my 7 step routine exists mostly in theory. On most real mornings where I'm rushing off to work it gets watered down to three steps at most. Mine on those days is just a gentle cleanser, some lip balm and sunscreen. That's it and I've stopped feeling guilty about it atp.

The one thing I've been consistent with even on the laziest days is SPF. I've been using the Lakme sun expert dry matte fluid SPF 50 PA++++ recently and it's become my default for low-effort mornings. It's quick to apply, doesn't leave any cast and doesn't need much fussing over. Exactly what you want when you're running on minimal motivation.

Also curious what other people's bare minimum looks like, is there a product or step you never skip no matter how rushed you are? Would love to know and see there's quick new stuff I can include in my lazy routine!

Estee lauder double wear alternatives

I’ve loved Estée Lauder Double Wear for as long as I can remember. But the new formula did me dirty. It doesn’t cover the way it used to, it lifts in patches when I apply another layer, and it just doesn’t melt into my skin anymore.

So, I’m on the hunt for an alternative.

I’m hoping you can help, but unfortunately I have a few twists that make this a bit of a challenge.

Twist 1. My skin

I have dehydrated skin, atopic dermatitis, and clog-prone skin.

The tricky part is that more moisture is not better for me.

Glowy, hydrating formulas tend to throw my oil production out of balance, which leads to breakouts and causes foundation to break down throughout the day.

So I’m looking for something that is:

- Matte or natural-matte

- Medium to full coverage

- Long-wearing

- Not packed with skincare ingredients

Twist 2. My shade

I’m porcelain - Very fair with a neutral, olive-leaning undertone.

My matches are:

- Double Wear 0N1 Alabaster (winter)

- Double Wear 1N0 Porcelain (summer)

- Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation 110 (winter)

- Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation 120 (summer)

- Loved this but broke me out

For concealer, I wear:

- NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly

Twist 3. Fit

I live in Scandinavia (Denmark).

Every time I see a recommendation, it ends up being one of three things:

- Not available in the EU

- Not light enough and/or the undertone is completely wrong

- Loaded with skincare ingredients that my skin absolutely hates

At this point, finding a foundation that is available in Europe, fair enough, olive-friendly, matte, and suitable for my skin feels like a full-time job.

Thank you 😊

Looking for solid body skincare brands

Been mostly focused on face stuff for years and kind of ignored everything below the neck. Trying to fix that now.

Recently picked up a few things from Leif, tried their body wash and a lotion. Really liked the texture and the scent wasn't overpowering, which matters to me. Not a big fan of stuff that smells like you bathed in a candle. Anyway it got me thinking I should actually build out a proper body routine instead of just grabbing whatever's on sale.

So what are you all using? Looking for body washes, lotions, oils, whatever. Doesn't have to be luxury pricing but I don't mind spending a bit if the quality is there. Dry skin is the main issue, especially in winter here in Toronto. It gets brutal.

Any brands you keep coming back to?

What’s a skincare product category where comfort matters more than performance?

Been thinking about this after a conversation with a friend who swears by her cleanser purely because it just "feels nice" even though it's probably doing nothing special lol

My answer is sunscreen, honestly. An uncomfortable sunscreen is one you skip and a skipped sunscreen is useless no matter how good the filters are. So texture and finish aren't just cosmetic concerns they directly affect whether you're actually protected. but i'd also argue moisturisers fall into this category? like at some point most decent ones do roughly the same job and what keeps you consistent is whether it feels good on your skin. Not too heavy, not too greasy, absorbs well, that sort of thing.

eye creams too maybe? genuinely not sure the performance differences are massive enough to outweigh just finding one that doesn't irritate you.

What do you all think is there a product you chose (or kept using) purely because it felt good or looked good rather than because it was the best option?

Do expensive skincare products actually perform better?

I've been comparing drugstore skincare products with some of the higher-end brands and I'm wondering how much of the price difference is actually worth it.

Have you found any affordable products that perform just as well as luxury alternatives? Or are there certain products where spending extra really makes a difference?
