[START] [LFP] Vocalist looking for a Darkwave Producer for a fun, experimental online project (Just for fun!)

I know what I’m looking for might be a bit niche. I’d love to connect with someone who produces tracks and mixes darkwave . I can provide the vocals!

I can also consider vaporwave, syntwave and retrowave.

I'm looking to just have fun making music together online. And if it turns out well, maybe we could release the tracks or even form a duo.

I’m strictly looking for people who just want to have fun and share a passion for music. No aspirations of getting famous or making money.

If this sounds like your kind of project, hit me up!

I’d love to collaborate with people roughly around my age group (20–40 years old). Thanks!

[LGF] [In Progress] Need help with my music!!

I am a singer and I write lyrics but actually producing music is incredibly hard for me. Here are some songs that I've been working on and would love to have others maybe work on. Some lyrics aren't fully done and some vocals might need to be re-recorded but just ignore for now haha. Please do whatever you think sounds cool with them, I just really like to sing and stuff.

Link to google drive with songs

I also have a youtube channel with songs I made a really long time ago (I made them in middle school so please don't make too much fun of them haha)

Even just feedback on things would be nice to hear! I'm open to suggestions for anything music related!

[START] Looking for collaborators/starting a group

Looking to collaborate with some other musicians, I'm a bassist, guitarist, and singer inspired mainly by people like Jesse Welles, Theo Katzman, Mac DeMarco, Mk.gee, John Mayer, May Erlewine, Cory Wong, etc. I've also dabbled in modern metal, hip hop, country, among other things.

I'm mostly looking for people that want to make indie rock/americana kind of stuff.

I'll play anything, if you're a guitarist I don't mind playing bass and vice versa. I'm not the best singer, or songwriter but I love the craft.

Here's a link to a collections of unfinished songs and demos of mine (some of them are different versions of the same songs)

[LFG] Could anyone please help me make my first music project?? (´;ω;`)

Hello!!! How are you??? Good?? Great! Okay sooo, I really need help with this if anyone can lend a hand. ()
Basically, I would looooveeeee to make my own song and release it on YouTube and streaming services! The problem is, I have absolutely NO idea how to actually do that…! I’m not familiar with what to do at all. (—)
Right now all I have is my iPhone, no recording equipment or anything fancy. I’ve tried multiple times to do everything on my own. Like recording my vocals, making beats, trying to find apps, all of it. But I’ve learned I genuinely cannot do this process on my own.
I need help, and advice! ( •̀ - •́ )
Writing lyrics is easy peasy, Ive got plenty that are fully written that could be made into full length songs! But doing it all myself… I’ve found to be impossible. I definitely need help from people who know what they’re doing!! (´ ˘ `)
This is just a passion project, and I unfortunately have no money to pay anyone right now. If I did, I definitely wouldn’t be asking for free help… ՞߹ - ߹՞
As for my singing, I think I sound pretty okay! I’m not professionally trained or anything, but I feel like with some autotune I could sound decent enough to actually do this ! (˶>⩊<˶)
I can sing in any genre, but pop and indie are what I’m best in. What I’m looking for are people who can make beats, sounds, and play instruments, auto tune help, and everything that goes with creating and releasing a song.
I’m only 17 and trying to figure all this out, so if anyone is interested in helping, please let me know!!!
(˶˃ ˂˶) ..
(btw, I do not want to use ai at all, ever.)

[start] i'm looking for a band.

i'm bruno. i play bass and i'm looking to create a band or enter one. if your band doesn't have a bassist, i'm here. if you play electric guitar, drums, sing, or play another instrument, please consider this.

it's important this. the genre i'll say it's like indie rock, artist like declan mckenna, tv girl, cas, i love the 2010s vibes, justin bieber, diary of a wimpy kid, digital cameras, etc

anyways i'd like to experiment a style more like pop, i like pink pantheress, ariana grande, and also laufey.

please consider this, i'm nobody and we'll help each other, we are all starting :)

i almost forgot. singing live will not be a thing for now. i'm from chile and i just want to form a band like online, idk if that is a thing, but yea.

i'll be looking for a guitarrist or 2, a keyboardist, a drummer, and a male and female voice. just for now

[In Progress] Vocalist/Lyricist wanted for complete metal album

Hey - I've been working on an album for the past few years and would love to bring a vocalist on board to complete the project. Music/production all done by myself so far; instrumentals complete and ready for vocals.

I'm imaging a hardcore/thrash type vibe; more clean than growling or screaming but open to anything really if it sounds good. References for vocals would be Peter Dolving from the Haunted and Greg from Dillinger escape plan.

Attached link to soundcloud demos - song 6 a good one to start with. Hit me up if you'd be interested in collabing!

Looking for a drummer to record some live drums for this track. What I programmed was just there to record some demo tracks to flesh out ideas. Full freedom to do whatever you want. If interested DM me and I will send guitar demos over.

Also looking for a real guitarists touch on stuff if anyone is interested.

[START] Starting a solo extreme metal project (BM/DSBM) – Need advice for a total beginner

Hi everyone,

I’ve finally decided to start a solo project. I’m tired of trying to find the right people with the same energy and taste, so I’m going "one-man band" mode.

My background : I’m primarily a vocalist. I can do screams, growls, "DSBM cries," pig squeals, and even throat singing.

My gear :

  • Instruments : One electric guitar, one acoustic guitar.
  • Recording : Focusrite sound card (interface), a microphone, and Reaper as my DAW.
  • Drums : I’m using the MT Power Drum Kit 2 (free VST).

The challenge : I have very little knowledge of guitar or drums. Today was my first day experimenting in Reaper. I managed to program some blast beats and "DSBM-style" rhythms using MIDI, and I had some fun playing around with guitar plugins.

I’m looking for advice on :

  1. Songwriting for beginners : How do I structure a song when I’m just starting to learn guitar (When i was younger, i already do some shit, and now i can play some easy song) ?
  2. Drum programming : Any tips to make MT Power Drum Kit 2 sound less "robotic" and more like "real" ?
  3. Mixing vocals : Since I do a lot of different techniques (growls, cries, throat singing), are there specific plugins or chains I should use to glue everything together ?
  4. Learning path : What should I focus on first to avoid getting overwhelmed by the technical side of the DAW ?
    1. Any other advices ? 😃

I’m motivated to do everything myself, even if it’s "shitty" at first. Any feedback or resources would be greatly appreciated !
Thanks.

[IN PROGRESS] Looking for a music producer/singer to collaborate (non-paid for now, future profit split)

Hey everyone,
I’m a beginner music producer and I’m looking for someone to collaborate with.

I’m currently working on an unfinished project and I want to complete it with a partner (producer / vocalist / songwriter / mixing person).

Genre / Style

pop (similar vibe to The Weeknd / Billie Eilish)

Payment

Right now this is a non-earning project (no payment).
But if the song makes profit in the future (Spotify/YouTube/etc), we can split revenue fairly later.

What I can do

  • Chords + melody ideas
  • Drums + arrangement
  • Basic production

Software

Ableton

If you’re interested, DM me and I’ll share the demo.

Thanks!

[START] Wanting to collaborate on a progressive metal/melodic death metal project

I'm looking to find some new inspiration to my creativity and I feel that I've worked on music solo for too long. I can come up with pretty interesting ideas but finishing songs, particularly the kind of songs I'd love to write, is challenging. And I think collaboration could fix my problem of not finishing songs.

My background as a guitarist is primarily driven from melodic death metal. My biggest influences of what I'd like to try to emulate is Opeth, Disillusion, Wilderun, Porcupine Tree, Be'lakor, In Flames and others. While I'd love to work on progressive music (not djenty stuff) I'm open to more straightforward melodic death metal or death metal too.

As far as gear goes I have a 7 string guitar tuned to Drop A and it's my primary writing tuning. But I'm open to others. I also have a decent library of other VST plugins (Spitfire Audio strings, choirs, etc) and I love Mellotron. I'll find any way to throw mellotron somewhere in the music haha.

If this interests you at all, don't hesitate to reach out!
