Lyricist, Composer

My name is Rubes, I’m a professionally registered teen songwriter - I write on a semi-pro/professional level

If you need a lyricist, consider me? I have experience in:

KPOP
POP
ACOUSTIC
INDIE
AVANT GARDE
COMMERCIAL
INDIE POP
RNB

But I’m willing to write for any genre.
I’m looking for Collaborative work (I don’t charge) that ideally wants to be released onto streaming platforms or media platforms like YouTube, SoundCloud, and other major streaming platforms

You don’t have to have a large following (though it’s always appreciated XD), as long as you are committed and actually want it to be a released song

Looking for singer-songwriters/producers to collaborate with - any genre

Hey! I'm a 17-year-old film composer and producer looking to collaborate with emerging singers, songwriters, musicians and producers.

My background is mainly orchestral/cinematic music, but I want to expand into songwriting and contemporary genres like pop, R&B, hip-hop, rock, indie, electronic, etc.

I'm looking for genuine mutual, non-paid collaborations where we both contribute creatively and share the finished work/credits.

I work in Logic and can contribute composition, production, arrangement and orchestration.

If you're interested, DM me with a little about yourself and some of your music. Would love to create something together!

13yo trying to make rock music at home with basic equipment [START]

I'm 13 and I'm trying to start making my own rock/indie music at home.

I'm a drummer and that's the only instrument I really know how to play. I have an acoustic drum kit, my dad's acoustic guitar, a CUVAVE pedal that I can use to make the guitar sound more like an electric guitar or bass, a Casio keyboard with around 400 sounds, a computer and some microphones my dad has.

I can play a few simple guitar chords, but I can't play a whole song yet. I mostly use the guitar to add some body to a song or make simple/improvised guitar parts with the pedal.

I also have basically no experience with recording, editing or mixing. I don't really know how to play keyboard either, so I'd probably use it for little sounds and effects rather than actually playing full songs.

I'm from Brazil, and I only have this equipment because my dad has a band. Music equipment is pretty expensive here, so I'm trying to learn how to make music with what I already have instead of buying a bunch of stuff.

For people who started making music at home, what did you learn first? How did you go from just playing instruments to actually making a complete song?

Any advice would be really appreciated!

[COMPLETE] Hypnagogia - 2 years in the making

2 years ago I came to this sub looking for collaborators. I found a singer, and two bassists! The final singer came more recently via r/metalmusicians, and the lineup was complete.

It's probably best described as jazz inspired post metal.

[IN PROGRESS] This is the most professional and best sounding songs I've done, IMO, and so I'm running it by you guys before releasing it next week

I've always struggled with the mixing, master and production side of music, but I've steadily learned and improved to the point where I think my newest single sounds like an actual song, and not just something I've recorded in my bedroom.

With that being said, I'm really trying to put all the effort and time into perfecting it that I possibly can, and would love you to critique it before the upcoming release. I have a bad case of only hearing a song's flaw after I've put it out and can't fix them anymore, and I so I think other ears are important here.

Song.

Black Metal Vocalist Available for Remote Recording

As the headline says. Im looking for online/remote recording project.

Mostly into old school black metal, raw, atmosferic stuff like early to mid 90s BM

But also interested in Death, War, Bestial, Heavy, Thrash/Speed and Doom Metal with a blackened twist, maybe even some Dungeon synth or old school symphonic Black Metal stuff.

Not into shoegaze, post, core or any new stuff like that.

I write lyrics with LHP themes as in: Satanism, The Occult, Witchcraft, Cosmic Horror, Chaos and Ancient Gods and what you would expect for this genre. If your lyrics fit the bill, then I have no problem recording them.

I have many years of experience, recording and releasing my own music. I specialize in creepy, raspy and evil sounding vocals, screams, chants and growls. I can share examples of my previous projects and bands in DM. Quick turnaround, fast production time. Open to critique and doing revisions. Willing to collab artistically on both small and bigger projects. Write me for more info !

[LFG] ISO: Lead female vocalist for dreampop/prairiegaze studio project

For fans of Neil Young, Brian Eno, Cocteau Twins, and Wolf Parade.

I’ve got an album of rough mixes that need vocals. I was previously collaborating with my wife but she wanted to stop so now I’m looking for a new collaboration. There is potential for this to be a long term project as I have a lot more tracks than this.

Please take a listen, and if you wanna work together let me know.

[START] Looking for a producer/creative partner to build something big with

Hey! I’m a young producer and songwriter, and I’m looking for another producer who wants to join me in building a team around music.

I’m looking for someone I can genuinely rely on creatively, someone to send ideas to, get a second opinion from, work through projects with and push each other to make better music.

The idea is to have two producers with different strengths working together. We could develop our own projects, jump into each other’s sessions, divide the work when it makes sense and, most importantly, be able to take on more and bigger collaborations than either of us could alone.

I’m already working on different projects and connecting with artists, so I’d also love to bring you into opportunities when I find something that fits you. If I come across an artist, project or idea that I think you’d be great for, I want you involved. And obviously, I’d want the same relationship in the other direction.

Over time, I’d love for this to become more than just two producers collaborating. A proper team, a recognizable sound, maybe even our own collective or brand. Something we can actually build and be proud of.

My main styles are pop, alt-pop, electronic pop and indie, but I’m much more interested in someone who brings something different to the table than someone who sounds exactly like me.

And beyond the music, I’d genuinely like to find a friend too. Someone I can talk music with, send random ideas to, laugh at terrible demos with, share opportunities with and actually enjoy working alongside.

I’m not looking for the biggest portfolio. Taste, creativity, ambition, reliability and personality matter way more.

If you’re a producer and this sounds like something you’d want to build too, DM me with some of your work. Let’s see where it goes.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I’m not looking for someone to treat this like a full-time professional job or to be available 24/7. I’m looking for someone who wants to build a team together, help each other out when needed, share projects and opportunities, and see where we can take it.

[LFG] Producer/musicians wanted to collaborate on an original alternative rock song

I've written an original song and I'm looking for a producer/musicians who'd like to develop it with me from the ground up.

It's a dark, dreamy alternative-rock song with a fairly stripped-back vocal and a strong story behind it. The basic song and vocal are already written, but I'm very open to changing the arrangement and seeing what someone else can bring to it.

I'm particularly looking for someone interested in guitars, bass, drums, atmosphere and production. I'd like this to be a genuine collaboration rather than just asking someone to mix a finished track.

I've made the current version entirely at home on my phone using BandLab, so it's very much a rough starting point rather than a finished production.

I'm happy to share the project/stems with anyone interested and work remotely.

I'm not looking for paid production — I'm hoping to find someone who likes the idea and wants to create something together.

If you're interested, message me and I'll send you the rough demo privately.

[LFG] Rapper/Rhythm Guitarist looking to start an online Nu-Metal/Alternative Metal band

I’ve been wanting to get seriously back into making music and figured I’d see if I can find some people who want to build something together.
I’m looking to start/revive a project called
Bridges Better Left Burnt

I’m mainly a rapper, writer and rhythm guitarist. I’ve made music for years and was part of a rap group in the past, but I’ve always loved rock and metal and want to take what I already do into a heavier direction.

I’m looking for a singer, lead guitarist, bassist and drummer

I’d especially like to find a singer who can bring their own style to the project instead of me trying to fill a role that isn’t really my strength. I love writing lyrics and coming up with ideas, but I’d also love another writer. Honestly, if everyone in the band likes writing and contributing ideas, even better. I don’t want this to just be my project with everyone else playing parts. I’d like it to become something we all have a hand in creating.

Sound-wise I’m thinking somewhere around nu metal and alternative metal, but I don’t want to decide exactly what we’re supposed to sound like before we’ve even made a song together. I like heavy riffs, darker atmospheric stuff, rap mixed with melodic vocals and music that can actually have some emotion behind it.

Some of my influences are Sleep Token, Three Days Grace and Shinedown, along with a lot of rap and other music. I’m not looking to copy any particular band though. I’d rather see what everyone’s different influences turn into when we start writing together.

I live in OH and would love to find people local but it’s not a deal breaker.

[LFG] a producer to collaborate with!

hi! i’m a 20 year old female college student looking for a long term producer for my songs. i write pop songs—think sabrina carpenter and olivia rodrigo type beats. i have all the lyrics and production ideas ready, i just need a producer who can produce the beats/instrumentals + mix and master the song. I can shoulder the recording which i plan on doing in recording studios to get the best quality sound.

however, im unable to pay upfront as i am a student with limited budget. with that, i need a producer who is okay with splitting the royalties instead for the payment. thanks!

[LFG][IN PROGRESS] Harsh/Clean vocals for emotional metalcore/hardcore song

Wassup this is my first post here and also my first attempt at making a song from scratch (recording ,mixing, and mastering everything myself) and I'd like for someone to put vocals on it. It gives me a Counterparts vibe. The song is in 4/4, 197.1 bpm and about 2 minutes and 20 seconds long. You would need a way to record decent-quality vocals and be able to send dry, isolated WAV stems. This is a one song collaboration and not a full band commitment.

EDIT: I don’t have lyrics for the song, I was hoping someone would like to take creative liberty and write their own vocals.

Here's the google drive link to listen to it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zVoBsavrMvBpLWEMzUZ8lJeg64h__rXR/view?usp=sharing

[START] Looking for vocalists and artists to start a project or a collab

Heyy! I'm 17 and I'm a producer and songwriter. I'm looking for vocalists and artists who wanna start a project together and actually stick with it.

I've been making music for quite a while. I started taking drum lessons when I was 3, my dad taught me piano when I was 5, and about 3 years ago I got a guitar and started learning by myself. I've also been taking music production classes for around 4 years, and I've already worked with a few different artists and on some collaborations.

Right now, I'm mainly looking for dedication, not professionalism. You don't have to be an amazing singer or have tons of experience. I'd rather work with someone who's motivated, has ideas and genuinely enjoys making music.

The idea would be to build a project together, make several songs, experiment with different sounds and styles and, most importantly, grow as artists while having fun creating.

I mainly make pop, indie, alternative and electronic music, but I'm open to pretty much anything if the idea is good.

I've got quite a few ideas and songs in progress, and I'm waiting until I have a few solid projects before I start releasing my own music. So I think this could be a really good time to start something from scratch and build it together.
