tbate's anime is pissing me off so much istg

i cant be the only one who hates how bad of a job is done here, tbate is an amazing manga but ts studio messed it all up. No one gives a shit what the director feel or believes, he fucked up the whole anime. Filler eps only exist\ are used in times when the anime catchs up with the manga and there is no source material left or is about to, and ironically enough tbate's novel series has been finished for a while AND the manga is still like 100 to 150 chapters ahead of the anime, like bruv u have to be fucking kidding me ts shit is total shit, there is no point of adding fillers in the anime but the damn director is ig wayy to retarded to get that, the anime was supposed to bring ppl to the manga but its doing the direct opposite. Which is just sad because of how great the manga is and also the amount of shit they are cutting and making it up by putting filler eps is annoying as shit, like no joke in the anime where we are at now if they didnt cut so much shit out they would have been wayyyy further in the story like for example when in season 2 ep 12 arthur and his friend were in the auditorium there was a whole thingy between tessa and Arthur and that was such a great part but they cut it fucking out cuz of theu] amount of filler they added in the damn anime

An idea for Studio A-CAT to make its animation better

July 3, 2026To Studio A-Cat,I'm writing as a longtime fan of The Beginning After the End (TBATE) — both the webnovel and the webtoon have meant a lot to me and to a huge global fanbase. I know your team has put real effort and passion into bringing Arthur Leywin's story to the screen, and I don't say this to diminish that work. That said, I want to share something honestly: I believe TBATE could reach its full potential with stronger animation support. Specifically, I'd love to see a collaboration with Studio WIT — a studio celebrated for its fluid action choreography, atmospheric worldbuilding, and faithful adaptations (as seen in Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga). TBATE's magic system, large-scale battles, and emotional character moments feel like exactly the kind of material WIT excels at bringing to life.A partnership or co-production between A-Cat and WIT could combine your team's familiarity with the source material and TurtleMe's vision with WIT's technical strength — giving fans the adaptation this story deserves.Thank you for hearing this out. I say this because I care about seeing TBATE succeed, not to dismiss the work already done. Sincerely,A fan of TBATE

So... what was even the point of her even being a character?

No, really-- this whole thing makes no god damn sense. Why have rescuing her from the dungeon such a giant plot point if she were somehow too injured to to even give testimony about what happened in the dungeon and can't ever attend the academy or get better....

Even though many other severely injured characters, particularly the protagonist, can just get over whatever wounds without even magical intervention.

This seems like the typical fake"dark fantasy" bullshit where everyone aside from the protagonist is doomed to horrible fates while the protagonist remains entirely immune to all consequences for even the most bone-headed decisions.

Every other character suffers serious consequences, but the main character just skates through life untouchable and never truly suffering. This really is shit writing and it doesn't seem to be the faut of the anime studio.

Am I totally insane or are these two supposed to be the same girl?

Why is her whole hair color, hair style, and even EYE color completely different in Season 2?

But what she says about going to Xyrus with Art and visiting him occasionally, as well as her relationship with Feyrith.

Edit: I was able to find her credits, it is the same voice actress-- Nagamuta Moe. The character is credited simply as "Feyrith's friend" in her brown-haired, brown-eyes design and them gets credited as "Vio" within Season 2 with the purple hair and yellow eyed design. It is the same girl, I don't know why they so radically altered her design between ages 8 and 11.

Reread comic or watch anime?

So I'm thinking of rereading the TBATE comic(the last time i read it was when ~ch180 was the newest chapter), but there's also an anime adaptation now. however, everyone says the anime is terrible. is it really that bad? should i just stick to rereading the comic, or give the anime a try?

Returnee

I used to read this a while back but dropped it thanks to external factors, as well as quite bad pacing to be honest, I am once again considering reading it but I now wonder if we are close to the end? Or is it perhaps finished already?

I dont have it in me to add another weekly update read to my way to long list so should I just ignore this or are we close to wraping up?

wtf was episode 12??

- That dumbass monster and the whole mage subplot weren't in the web novel

- Tessias and Arthurs reunion was total garbage. And a post outro scene. We had a whole chapter about them making bad "first" impressions and talking it out at the end, but this??? "Hi (my dearest friend, who i longed to see again for years....eh i mean) stranger, i'm [blank]. Let's laugh because this is totally an act we both perform, hahahaha" da fuq?

They made (another) garbage season quality wise but had enough budget to do two filler episodes that concluded to nothing. I'm so fucking mad right now.

Good thing the web novel is actually decent and the light novel is even better*.

Minor spoiler ahead. You were warned.

*(except for that whole dungeon crawl arc in Alacrya, that was a bit too long)

Where can I read the Manhwa

I started with the anime (I know, big no no, but helps me decide if I want to take the time to really go in on a series) and loved the story, so now looking for where to ready the manhwa. I heard tapas but everything is locked for me.
