Just for some context, I am from Catanduanes. Growing up, ang pirmi kong nahihiling na choreo ning pantomina is su pirming yasayaw uya sa isla. Nagcheck ako ning pantomina sa ibang probinsya tas napansin ko na mas graceful ang choreo ning sa mainland. Kung ikukumpara, baga mas energetic ang pantomina mi uya sa Catanduanes.

It's around Sta. Cruz Naga and every single time we walk past here, it somehow bothers me. They said that this was closed down due to the permit problems and I get it but it was also said that it is to be demolished. Question is, are they really demolishing it? Bit by bit or is no one really working on it? Also, feel free to share other stories about this building!

So I work remotely, and while chatting with my co-worker (from Manila), I casually said “ay nem” and then they asked me what it meant O_O
That’s when I realized “nem” is hard to translate 😅 I didn’t even know it was a purely Bikol expression haha
I know it can be used casually to ask “How are things going?” or “What’s up?” depending on the context. But I’m struggling to explain expressions like “aw nya nem”
how would you explain or translate “nem” to non-Bicolanos?
