Who do you think would've won AFP on BB8?

A lot of people said Eric, but I actually think Jessica would've had a good chance as well.

BTW, for some reason I thought America voted for America's Player. I just learned that production picked him to do it lol

I lowkey ship Danielle and Dominic

I’ve seen seasons 1-12 and I’m watching bb13 for the first time so please no spoilers until the first 2 weeks. I know it’s such a minor thing but seeing Danielle and Dominic talk I ship them so much. Danielle has an alt kind of vibe to her and dominic is kind of bringing her out of her comfort zone and you can see that. ive never heard people talk about him but I really like him and Shelly. Porsche is kind of a bitch imo lol

Thoughts on Lauren's move to use the veto?

With a new season coming up this month, I wanted to ask about a pivotal moment in BB27: Lauren using the veto on Vince and Rachel putting up Rylie as replacement. At the time, I saw a some discussion that Lauren should have listened to (even obey) Rachel and not use the veto, and that Rylie going home was her fault, and that she had it coming.

Now, I know Lauren approach wasn't the most confident, and that Rachel is far more popular of a player, but I don't agree that it was a bad move. Vince was one of Lauren's closest allies, if not THE closest. They also lost Zach, another close ally, just last week, with Vince sitting right next to him on the block. If she has the power to guarantee her #1's safety, why would she risk it? Especially cause there wasn't really trust built between her and Rachel, and she knew that she would prefer for Vince to go home.

Of course, eventually Vince does turn on Lauren in favor of Morgan, so hindsight is 20/20. But Lauren using the veto is the type of move that people clamour for, where a player goes against the house/HOH's wishes and uses the power they have to benefit their personal game. If Lauren didn't use the veto, regardless of who goes home, she would be seen as even more passive and afraid to play the game than she already was.

I try to view the show not through a particular players's journey, but as a collective web of connections and possibilites for entertainment. If I just watch the show for Rachel, I would want her to have her way easily and everyone to fall in line. But Rylie's eviction wouldn't have been as impactful if Rachel didn't have to make that tough decision because of Lauren's action.

but enough of my thoughts, what are your takes on this week/move?

Will Live Feeds Improve This Year?

They removed the Flashback/Archive feature in Season 26 and the live chat in Season 27. After the major success of last season, do you guys think they'll finally start improving the live feeds by bringing back some of those features, or will they continue slowly killing the live feed experience instead?

Thoughts on the key wheel?

I used to be a defender of the key wheel and there’s room for suspense but the more I think about it the more I hope it doesn’t return. And from a HOH perspective, shouldn’t the meta be to just always order your keys alphabetically - your noms? There’s really nothing you stand to gain by making someone who think they may go otb nervous waiting for the final key, only downside for you. Has anyone tried something like this? Would production allow it?

What is with the obsession with showmances?

Watching this show, it almost seems like production purposely tries to set up people to be in showmances? Is there something about them that makes the show more appealing?

Same players, slightly different font

I have been planning a top 100 players of big brother (planned flopped btw). But during the way I encountered players who are really similar. Some are talked about but I also feel that some aren’t either. This is only looking at them strategically btw.

Gamebots- Helen and Cory are so similar and I’m still arguing on who’s the better player. They play hard, and had a mark on their seasons (Helen taking out Jeremy during her HOH, ending the moving company. And Cory being instrumental in the Izzy blindside). Although both impressive, it is way too obvious what they‘re doing, and both go at the final 8 👀.

Best Losers- I find Danielle and Tyler to be the best players to lose. A hot take but I feel as though if you do a game ranking, they should be back to back. They play impressive second place games that would’ve won them the game in other seasons. And they come back in an all stars (best player amongst their cast 👀, and get sixth). They are so good socially and strategically but struggle with killer instinct and being too loyal with allies that are somehow better socially.

Boring Winners- I mean this has been talked about to death already. Competitive, conventionally attractive, likable man that get are good players but get even more liberties for existing.

Boring Losers- Repeat everything I said for the winners but this time losers who got fourth place 👀.

Messy competitive Icons- This is my biggest ”hear me out” take. To note, this Daniele pre BB22. Daniele on 8 plays Janelle‘s BB7 game but on steroids, competitive but bad socially and strategically. Daniele on 13 is the most Janelle game ever, banding a group together that flops at the end. Still iconic tho.

Demons that got ended- These 2 ran the game and got decimated in satisfying fashion. They were seen as sane until the cracks started to show and at the Mid-Jury phase the players got sick and threw them out the house.
