My hand-made polymer clay Big Walk sculpture!

I love this game so much and wanted to craft a little guy from some leftover clay I had! It took me just about an hour to sculpt everything. The hardest part was getting the proportions correct so it would more accurately look like the game. And I just had to include the little red puzzle reward piece to complete the look! Now he sits on my desk :) Can't wait to keep playing Big Walk! ⛰️

Can devs please fix this?

There’s a crease in the carpet that we’ve been pacing around for half an hour trying to fix, it’s making this challenge borderline unplayable

I made a buoy lamp, and you can too!

I designed and 3D printed a buoy lamp from Big Walk. The parts are all separate and should be easy to print on any tuned printer. This version runs WLED on an ESP32C3 super mini. Another run uses a readily available USB LED puck, and the third is solid with no lights.

All the files and more info on making your own are available on Printables!

Kinda sad

For a start, I am a very casual gamer, haven't played anything online since Journey.

But when I first started the Big Walk today for the very first time and through a reddit post found the absolutely most wonderful group of people. I NEVER experienced anything like it in gaming.

It was like being on a hike with friends. We deliberately chilled during night to just chat up about our life and interests. The amount of comradery formed was so fun. When the whole crew got split up while one of us were on the toilet and the consequential 2-3 hours of our splinter group trying to work towards the next tower and while arriving realizing the rest of our group was there was one of the best moments I had in gaming, probably ever.

Due to internet problems I got disconnected and couldn't join in again.

I'll never meet my "cool guys", my "baby carriers" or our singing "Megaphone-man".

This is for you, friends!

So no one else calls em gourds?

NO SPOILERS PLEASE!

Me and 2 friends started playing completely blind. We love the game. We saw the first gourd and said hey a gourd and got it, assumed it was some useless toy at first then realized the game centers around getting them. Now when we unlock one we all circle around it and throw our arms up and chant "gourd gourd gourd gourd" like cavemen and treat them like dieties. Gourd is love. Gourd is life. But while walking bigly last night i had the thought and said "what if other people don't call them gourds" and we all stood for a second in the horror of the thought. Today i peaked at this reddit while trying to avoid spoilers and have seen them called eggs, babies, dolls. Tons of things but not gourd. Anyway, just funny to me. If at the end they are eggs and they hatch or something don't tell me. I dont wanna know. To me they will always be gourds.

What's your favorite puzzle?

Mine is where you place kettles in different shapes so players on the other side have to guess what shape is it.

Big Walk GOTY?

Marked as spoilers because the first photo was taken >!on the final beach after exiting the orb!<

This game is a masterpiece. I've been playing it simultaneously with two groups, one with only 2 players, and the other with 4-5 players, and I haven't gotten bored of it yet. I just finished the game (not 100%) with my one friend, and the ending made me tear up. The experiences I've had of playing this game from start to finish have been some of the most enjoyable currently-20 hours I've ever put into any game ever. Everything is so lovingly crafted for maximum low-stress enjoyment.

I have to say that, in the entire game, I only found one single puzzle that I didn't like. Spoilers for a major puzzle, if you want to stay blind. >!It was the red walled off area pegboard puzzle near the yellow tower. I found the final few hidden pieces to be a little frustrating to locate, and I was worried we weren't doing it correctly since there was no obvious solution. Even so, I didn't dislike the puzzle, it just wasn't particularly one I found fun.!<

Some of my most fond moments of the game were the silent downtimes between areas and between puzzles, the second photo being one of them. Spoilers for a minor puzzle, if you want to stay blind. >!It was taken as I was traveling to collect the statue (we lovingly called Jimothy) near the red tower, where the other person had to hold the button near the yellow tower to keep the case open. We didn't have a pair of walkie talkies, and my friend kept the radio with him, so the entire trip was done in silence. I found the round trip extremely peaceful, and I look at it as one of my personal favorite puzzles.!<

I know there's more to this game that we, either group, have yet to see, and I'm excited to spend another 20 hours figuring everything out for the 100% completion, even if I only do it once.

Thank you, House House.

If we walk big over there, will we finally be free?

Ignore the crosshair, I didn't know you could turn it off at the time. But regardless, this was an amazing game from start to finish with my 5 other mates, felt right at home in the bush the whole way through.

What would you add to a dlc/sequel?

I love Big Walk, and I feel like there's room for even more things that build upon the Big Walk mood. I want to hear ideas that fit the constraints of the game and facilitate more funny adventures and force cooperation and cooperative problem solving.

Here are some of mine:

- Tandem Bike: two seat bicycle that requires careful timing of l-click and r-click to move forward. Handles flat terrain fine, but has difficulty going up hills and will roll out of control down hills. Might make for faster movement, but only if you can work together and also navigate carefully.

- Rivers/lakes: The creek is interesting but I would have loved bigger flowing water. More water that we have to interact with would be nice.

-Paddleboats/canoes: Traverse rivers and lakes with cooperative boats. Paddleboats require both players to paddle to move forward, or just one to turn the boat. Canoes require rowing in rhythm to make progress.

- Mirrors: Lots of potential for mirror/laser pointer puzzles. Using mirrors to see symbols around a corner. Might be difficult to implement since reflections are classically a huge gpu issue.

- Fire/matches/lighter/campfires: Campfires around the map you can light with a box of matches. Torches you can carry with you as a dim light source that burns out after a while. Puzzle that requires you to read in the dark with only a dim torch. Puzzle that you have to kick torches into campfires you can't reach.

I love what Big Walk is and I think it could hold more inside it. What are your thoughts?
