Hey i use my bsb2 mainly for sim racing and dcs (Looks and feels great, got my first win in iracing vr today!) but i dont use controllers and my rig is setup far from my pc.
I am looking for a way where i can launch VR and it goes directly to my pc homescreen instead of the stupid Steam Vr Home... Is there any i can launch VR without being stuck on the Steam Vr Home? Or a way to exit steam vr home without controllers.
Currently my process now is to launch SteamVR and having to sit by my pc until im already in a game, to clearify iracing uses a hub which can not be portraid in vr unless you look at your entire pc screen, which i am not able to do without controllers as far as i am aware :)
I'm looking at buying BSB2e, and from the website order page it seems the halo mount + universal fit will ship with it in 1-2 business days. Does anyone know if this is actually true, or will they just ship me the universal fit and send over the halo mount later?
Does anyone have any recommendations whether to go with custom fit or the halo + universal? Mostly going to be using it for simracing (<1 hr). Searching the subreddit it looks like nobody has actually received the halo mount yet so not sure if it's worth to get something untested. I was going to get the audio strap as well. The halo+universal is only an extra $60.
Are there any universal fit cushion air flow mods?
So hot and sweaty in this thing with no air flow. I dont care about light leaking either since i play in the dark usually. Is there anything i can do?
Hey everyone my bsb2e arrives next week. Was hoping people could give me a few tips on setup and how to do a self QA on the unit.
I was planning to install most of the drivers / base stations and such ahead of time. So hopefully can just jump in.
Love the help and thanks for being a great community.
I bought this headset to play Iracing. I currently have a Quest3 which has no lense glare but the bigscreen beyond2 seems to have terrible glare near the middle or slightly below the middle. I set the the brightness at 60% to help and also perception lense. I have the universal face cover and have tried many different positions on the face.
I have the audio strap and it's comfortable to wear, but this glare is very off putting. It's not edge to edge clarity if a third of your vision is fuzzy glare.
Should I return it and get the Pimax Deam Air or steam Frame?
Hey everyone I found this mod/strap very nice as it's dual adjustable with the bottom and top headstrap with the little knob on the side
In my case that allows you to dial the headset perfectly to your face since it's so adjustable
This mod also allows for the HMD to be moved and taken off just like the valve Indexs spring loaded gasket since the fabric is super flexible and frim springing right back to place
Apples dual knit band here is honestly the most premium band you get for comfortability and adjustablebity and this poems from someone who's owned a lot of headsets lol
For 99$ compared to other straps this is way more value
The strap is available in S M and LARGE so it really does accommodate everyone
Let it be known when I did go into the apple store to buy the strap I guess it does follow vison pro rules so you will need a IPHONE to scan the QR code to purchase the strap sadly enough
Maybe it's not the whole case but the employee made it seem that way
Last note you will need 3d printed parts to connect the strap to the HMD
I just got my unit yesterday, and so far I'm in love. I got it pretty much only for iRacing. The issue I have is that if I have the Bigscreen Beyond Utility open, in sim it's front and center and in front of everything. In order to get it to go away I have to go on to Steam and stop the program. I'm don't think that's the way it's supposed to be, but it was the only way I could get it to go away.
Other background for if it matters is I'm using one base station and no VR controllers. I do have an Xbox 360 controller, but couldn't seem to get that to do anything in VR either.
