What bike do i get

I'm 18, going to college very soon. I just raced in my first half ironman, loved it and plan on racing in another in the spring and hopefully a full sometime after that. I am very new to road biking and rented a bike to complete the race(Did my training on a Peloton). This means I am not a good biker, and I'm worried about damaging a new bike. Most people at my race had a TT bike, and I was wondering if I should get one because all of the biking will be training for triathlons/ironmans. I was also looking for reccomendations for TT bikes and Road bikes.

Bike Sale

Hi everyone,

I'm currently in the market for a new bike in Wageningen (preferably second-hand). Are there any places you would recommend for an affordable bike, since I am a student?

Is JBI going out of business?

JBI seems to never have the item in stock. Every time I scan something to re-order, it is "not sellable or no longer availabe" or something. I've been filling in with Amazon, Aliexpress and Alibaba. What's even more disturbing is that I'm getting better prices than I ever did on JBI. On almost everything. The JBI rep in my area said that they are updating the individual items so the old ones don't scan but this is clearly BS. The guy also told me that JBI isnt going anywhere because they are actually a real estate company. Great, they own real estate. This does not help the bike shops that, up until now, have enjoyed JBI having the right prices and being integrated into Lightspeed. They have been dropping the ball so much lately that I fear that they are going to become totally useless. Any thoughts? - Frank, Palm City Bike Shop, Cape Cod

Anyone looking for a Downhill / Endurance bike?

I have two endurance bikes one is a Trek Slash 9.9 and the other is an Intense but I can’t for the life of me remember the model, it’s been that long since I’ve ridden it. I had some knee surgery’s and find myself not riding much if at all now, I’m 55; knees are shot, and I need to sell these bikes to someone that’ll get to enjoy them. They deserve a good home, DM me for details!

New Bike Advice

Good evening all,

I’m looking to pick up a new gravel bike - I’m planning on riding a combination of road, gravel and the occasional spot of bike packing (2-3 days so no need for racks/panniers) so looking for a best of both worlds option.

So far I’ve narrowed down the options to:

  1. Cervelo Aspero Rival AXS w/ Reserve 40/44 wheels (£3750)
  2. Ventum GS1 Rival AXS w/ Zipp 303 XPLR S wheels (£3899)
  3. Scott Addict Gravel 15 (£3499)
  4. Ribble Ultra Grit Force AXS w/ Vision SC45 wheels (£3999)
  5. Cube Nuroad C:62 EXC (£3499)

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated, I’m currently swaying towards the Cervelo (love the yellow)!

Thanks!!

Bike shop SCAM

Pienar Bike Shop

DO NOT BUY from this place. I answered an ad for a bike at a specified price + shipping. I figured Pay Pal was the safest way to pay & they sent the money to the shop account. Then weeks later the shop sends an email that there are taxes to pay and the customer has to pay them before shipping. We're not talking about a small amount here. I say NO, I paid the advertised price, send the bike. I get no where & after 3-4 emails from them on the same issue I tell PayPal they're a scam. But the only thing PayPal says they can do is request a refund.

BTY this is not the first time I have told PayPal a compy has not delivered & was told they can only "request"

So,in the end PayPal may not be safe. And as for Pienar Bike Shop, if you buy from them you're taking a chance
