I need a obd2 that can reset my frm on my 2006 330xi. I need the cheapest option what should I buy. I know you can get like Bluetooth ones and get bimmercode. Do I have to pay for that subscription based? Thanks in advance.

Ich habe einen F10 von 2015 mit NBT und dem originalen größeren BMW-Display. Mit meinem alten iPhone konnte ich es per USB verbinden und Apple Music vollständig über iDrive steuern – Playlists/Alben durchsuchen, Album-Cover anzeigen, Songs auswählen usw.

Jetzt habe ich ein Xiaomi 15T. Über Bluetooth werden Songtitel und Interpret angezeigt, aber es gibt kein Album-Cover und ich kann meine Playlists nicht durchsuchen oder über iDrive anstellen. Wenn ich das Xiaomi per USB verbinde, behandelt das NBT es im Grunde wie einen USB-Stick.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, das Xiaomi besser wie die iPhone-Integration zum Laufen zu bringen? Idealerweise ohne ein MMI/Android-System zu installieren, da ich das originale NBT-System wirklich beibehalten möchte. (Ich benutze Apple Music auf meinem Android)

Vielleicht hat sich hier schon jemand damit beschäftigt und kennt eine Lösung?

Hello, i’m having a problem with reading the KAFAS module with NCS expert.

The car is X5 e70 LCI 2012 with OEM KAFAS and has the 8TH option.

However, after a few seconds while executing the reading job in the NCS it fails with this error:

“Error in CABD! Look at CABLERR and ERROR.LOG!
COAPI-2020: SG antwortet nicht IFH-0009: SG nicht angeschlossen oder
meldet sich nicht KAFAS7O
COAPI-2020: SG antwortet nicht CODIERDATEN_LESEN”

Checked the TRC file after that and it includes some info (size is ~196KB).

I opened that file in the NCS Dummy, but it seems it does not opens it correctly - unable to edit and the checkboxes from the left are missing.

The interesting part is that other modules like KOMBI are being read correctly and i’m able to edit it in NCS Dummy.

I’ve download the software pack from some thread in reddit.

The whole point of this exercise is just to change the country code to BG (42,47) in the NAME_1 parameter in KAFAS and see if the Speed Limit Information start working (currently shows —- on the HUD). The maps is EUROPE EAST PREMIUM 2025-2 if thats related.

If someone experienced such a problem, please give an advice. Thanks.

Problem solved:

I’ve managed to enable the speed limit info trough Tool32!

open file KAFAS70.prg in Tool32

Choose job: steuern_methode_sli

Set the parameter as you wish:

0 = OFF
1 = Fusion mode (camera + nav)
2 = Nav only

Execute the job.

After that you will need to execute one more job to reset/restart the module: steuergeraete_reset

Voala, it should work now.

Update:

Unfortunately, this is not a fix, but a temp fix/test values.... Once the car sleep for a certain time and turned on again - it is gone....

I've dig into this for the past two weeks, but no luck at all.

Managed to enable the log tracing in NCS expert, and when executing codierdaten_lesen it fails on the step reading memory block "3030" - NCS throws IFH-0009.

Dig the whole internet, but nothing....

Therefore there is one JOB in KAFAS70 in Tool32: "daten_referenz_lessen" which gives job status: "ERROR_NO_DREF". If that makes some sense.
Several AI agents purposed me to flash the module trough WinkFP, but i'm not sure for that.

If anyone has an idea or a clue, please share it.

Hi, how do you program the exhaust valve so it can be controlled through iDrive on a BMW 520i G30 2019 ?

Welp, as title says, bought a bootmod3 wifi adapter largely with the intent to only turn off fake engine sounds, try the B&W audio changes for the HK system and maybe swap in the M gauge cluster.

But coming here to check for how-to's and seeing title saying new gen is almost , if not entirely, locked from factory, is it a "ymmv" situation and worth opening the box or just return it before I open it and get my money back?

I just received my Bootmod3 wifi OBD adapter. My car is stage 2 tuned on BM3. I am thinking of fidgeting with bimmercode now. It gives me 2 options free version and the paid one. What do you recommend? Also this will be the 1st time I will coding it myself. So need step wise guide.
