House Sparrow CHAOS

Hi fellow birders! I’m a bit new to this hobby and I set up my new birdfy feeder about a week ago. In the days since set up I have an overwhelming amount of House Sparrow’s (and their fledglings) attending my feeder, but ZERO other species. I know sparrows are known to be fairly aggressive birds so maybe this is a deterrent for other birds? Does anyone have any tips, advice, or suggestions to attract other birds?

I’m using black oil sunflower seeds, located on Vancouver Island. Bird pics for tax!

Squirrel Help

Just got the isyoung smart feeder. Set it up yesterday and we’ve had one bird and now this one squirrel won’t leave the feeder alone. It’s mounted on my fence. What can I do to keep squirrels away? Is there any other solution than to put it on a pole?
