Just got these new Birkenstock Bostons from the original website from Germany. Never had Bostons before, only Arizonas.
The side finishing looks rough to me, and I can also see some glue residue around the edges where the outsole meets the cork. For the sides I was expecting the finishing to be more like on the last picture (left shoe inner side). All the other sides feel kinda sloppy?
Is this pretty typical for Birkenstock Bostons or would you exchange them for a cleaner pair? It makes me a little annoyed for 180 euros:(((
Thanks for everyone!
I just got these in a size 39 and they feel really comfortable but now I’m questioning if they are the proper fit. I tried on size 40 and felt like there was a lot of extra space in the toe area.
I have a pair of Boston in the same size but narrow fit (I have Boston oiled leather size 39N).
The Boston overall fit nicely in the narrow fit, but sometimes I do feel like my toes bump in front on the toe sides a bit, especially with thicker socks, so I opted for the regular fit in the Arizonas.
I just got these in 39R but I am wondering if they could be a bit too large?
Any advice is welcome.
Looking to buy my first pair of arizonas for outdoor use. I'm not a big shoe guy so I'm looking for minimal maintenance and maximum durability. Settled for classic footbed arizonas but split between oiled vs natural leather top as I don't really know the differences.
I am usually a Men’s Size 11 but Birkenstock run a little big. I sized down and went with the EU 43/10. What do you think? I have long toes so some of them get a little closer to the edge. Good size or size up? I’ve heard some say they will bend a little once they’re broken in and essentially “shrink”. I don’t mind sending them back for a bigger size but I am unsure what to do.
Hiya! I bought these second-hand five years ago and I wear them all the time. But the sides have now started to split on both shoes – from your experiences, is this something a cobbler could fix or is it only downhill from there? Worth noting that I'm not sure about the actual model or whether this is genuine leather or synthetic. If it is leather AND fixable, would a leather conditioner help maintain things after it's been fixed? All insights welcome!
Saw these and my favorite color is orange so I just pulled the trigger. Is this a good model? Haven’t worn birks in years and only tried Arizona’s.
Hi all,
I’ve had these milanos for six months and I’m seeing some pretty significant heel wear (on the outside, this is the right shoe). Am I doing something wrong?? Is it time to get it repaired?
First 3 photos are the 42, last three are the 41. I bought the 41 originally so they are slightly broken in. I’ve been tweaking this whole time they are too small so I ordered a 42 but now that they are here, they seem kinda big. Please help me lol. I hate I having short wide ah feet
Picked these ankle strap birks up for so cheap on Depop, but the only possible red flags I see are that the glue attaching the insoles to the base is super thick and the footbeds are a lot darker than my auth mayaris (the 40s in a few of the pictures- I know they’re authentic!). Pretty sure they’re even the same leather!
I also know I’m not really a 39 and the 40s fit better but they’re not toooo tiny and I love the style
Is this normal wear and tear for 1.5 years? The cork is separating from the sole and cracking. I thought these would last me multiple years 😭😣
Bostons in oiled leather in the iron color, I do love them I'm just a little sad they look different in person than on the website. But for $120 I can't really complain
I wear a 12 in most brands but I have a wide foot. This is 12 wide. But should I go 13?
Just got my very first pair and there’s this tiny stub of what seems like glue just sticking out from the front. I only realised once i got home. It just twists me sideways whenever i see that damn stub. What to doooo???
I got 36N before and everyone agreed they were too narrow and a size too small. So here are newly delivered 37 regular.
They seem really big to me. And also they look quite manly, which is not what i am going for 😅 Anyway, are these the right size and fit?
