42 should size up to 43?

Hey all, I'm starting to think this 42 needs a size up to 43 (i usually wear 43/44 sneakers) after taking a home walk with hot weather and feet.

I don't have any 43 photo for reference though, can you guys help me choose?

Fit check

Hi all!

These are the EU 43s, regular.
The issue that I’m having is that the widest part of my feet is at the middle. This makes my widest part sit on top of the margins.

I have measured and checked the size charts on the birk website, and a 44 wouldn’t help, it would be just too big.

This way I have either some sort of discomfort at the side of my foot, or my foot is sliding too much upwards where it has more space (thus my fingers touch the margins).

Did anyone have the same issue? Does the break in period fix this?

Stressing Over Sizing

I'm trying to choose my first Birkenstocks and I'm worried about making the investment and choosing the wrong size. Unfortunately, I don't have a local store with anyone really qualified to assist with sizing.

I initially bought a 39 and then realized that I probably didn't have the extra room that so many on this sub recommend, so I returned them. I was able to compare at DSW today and I'm still stressing about correct sizing. The 40 felt okay when walking aside from the toe bar occasionally hitting the ball of my foot, which I didn't find particularly bothersome.

Is the 40 the size I should purchase?

Size check (in between sizes)

I have a size 46 and 45 and the 46 are a smidge too big and the 45 fit with less room. The space in front on the 46 is about 15mm and the space in back is about 10 mm. The space in front of 45 is about 10mm and the back is about 5mm. I know the 45 measures what Birkenstock recommends but the toes touching the edge give me pause. Any advice on which size to get?

First pair - is this size correct?

This is the narrow model. Do I need regular? I tried a couple different ones in store and ended up thinking I need either 41 regular or 42 narrow. 42 regular felt and looked weird, but I'm not sure now.

Is it my size?

I’ve been wearing birkenstocks for over two years and I still can’t figure if this is my size. These are 43 regular. I wore them for some time, so they are broken in. My longer foot is 27,3cm from the longest toe to the heel. Calculator says it’s my size, but I keep overthinking it. Should I size down? Or are they good?

Are these too small for me?

Hi i’ve just bought my first pair of Birkkenstocks and I don’t know what to do. My feet are exactly 250 cm so I thought the correct size for me is 39 (250) narrow. Everybody told me the size fits me (including the shopkeeper), but I think they are a little bit small for me. I don’t know if u should leave these since they were on sale or buy in different size, although I think size 40 would be too big on my feet. Help me out please!! Also please ignore my crusty nails :)

Does your toes hit the tip of your Birks when you walk?

this is the picture when am standing. my toes and heel doesn't hit the tip. But when i walk, i occasionally hit the tip of my birks or my toes overlap a bit sometime just only when i walk. But standing still, no problem.

Should i size up or stay on my size 40? Thank you

First pair….42 or 43?

Hi everyone!
This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I’m honestly struggling to figure out the right size.
My foot is around 265–266 mm long, according to the foot measuring guide that came in the shoebox. I ordered both a size 42 (270 mm) and a size 43 (280 mm).
The problem with the 42 is that my fourth toe slightly brushes against the edge of the footbed. I don’t really notice it that much while walking, but it’s still there.
With the 43, my foot feels more free and comfortable, but I’m worried that they might be too big. If I position my foot so that the toe bar sits directly underneath my toes, my fourth toe would still touch the edge, so I’d have the same issue as with the 42, plus a lot more space behind my heel.
However, if I position my foot more toward the center of the footbed, without worrying too much about where the toe bar sits in relation to my toes, I don’t have any problems at all.
What do you guys think? Should I go with the 42 or the 43? Is it normal for the fourth toe to slightly touch the edge, or does that mean the footbed is too narrow/short?
I’d really appreciate some advice from experienced Birkenstock users. Please help me! 😅

Birkenstocks fit check

First pair, literally 2 days before holiday never owned a pair but almost liked them and usually they fit smaller than this. Size 9 and I got a 43 eu as it was only one I could find in stock for weekend delivery. What we think? Keep or take back?

Might keep and get another smaller size or idk. Seem big
