I bought my first pair of Birkenstocks today and I know they’re supposed to be a bit bigger than your regular shoe size. I’m normally a size 6.5-7 and these are a 38, does the sizing look okay? I’m not sure if they’re too big, they feel a bit loose.
I had to downsize from 42 which i usually wear to 41, 42 was way too big they kept slipping out my feet.

Hi Birken Experts, I am buying my first Birkenstock and I am unable to decide if I should go for a Narrow one or Regular. Need some expert opinion if this Narrow fits or is it too narrow for my feet? How exactly should I decide?
The tan tobacco is a size 39 that I’ve worn for the past 4 years. The heel wore away on the outside corner, so I went to get another pair and they recommended a 40. They feel quite a bit bigger and have a lot more space in the back. Thoughts?
Hi! I need help figuring out if I should have a normal or narrow birken. I know im a size 39 EU. I took some pics here if that helps. The black birken is normal fit, and the light creme is narrow. im leaning toward the normal because my feet were borderline moving downward the sole when I walked in the narrow ones. Both feel quite spacious, but the narrow is more snug of course. Since its my first pair I dont know how they will mold to my feet so let me know. Will they become a better fit with time, more secure? or would u go for narrow to be snug?
Apperently all stores in my country carry narrow only cause thats what people buy. That black pair was the only one they had in normal fit.
Also. sorry if I sound dumb but if I figure out that Im a normal width size, should I buy it in every model or is it different in other models? I want to eventually purchase their closed toe shoes as well and unfortunately in my country the only option is buying online. Thanks for the help.
