Anyone else having trouble taking the story seriously with his resting grin and nice guy looking face?

Watching the cutscenes back to back with the original, it seems like Edward's constant unhinged look was intentional as it sells the character. As well as the original game having a grimier look to things and Ed not talking to himself as much or making jokes.

Now he just seems too nice all the time with everything around him having a nice sheen to it, especially with the new story missions.

But even in ones that were remade it's hard to take him as this money obsessed scaliwag who will kill and steal to get it, when he comes across more like Nathan Drake playing pirate now in every cutscene.

I press the button right when i see the blue flash but it does nothing half the time.

Like a lot of you, I fondly remembered Black Flag, and was excited to play it again. Dove right in and it felt EXACTLY how I remembered it. But after a while, I found myself thinking of Rogue, and decided to boot up the 2018 remastered version, and was absolutely shocked how bad it felt. The movement, the water physics, sound quality, everything. I rode on the Morrigan for about 5 minutes and just bailed.

The contrast really shows how much love and effort went into this resync, and how drastic the improvement really is, and you would never notice unless you fired up the old version first. It'll just feel like you remember it, but spend a few minutes on either OG Blag Flag or Rogue and it'll give you a whole new appreciation for the work they've done

10/10 and possibly the best remake I've ever played.

I’m trying to get the “last to leave” trophy. I know the method of using black trench and a manual save but in 2-3 hours of trying I haven’t seen a single burning ship there.

The most success rate I have is beside fort Serranilla, but it’s always frigates and man’o’wars. I’ve been trying this for hours, over the period of a couple of days, and I’m starting to believe the chairs don’t spawn on bigger ships.

Can anyone confirm this or do I just have horrendous luck?

I distinctly remember Edward using Duncan Walpole’s robes until the mission where he gets taken prisoner with Adewale, where he finds the armor and you get like chest piece or the shoulders, can’t remember for sure but I swear you unlock the bracers and chest piece through leveling up the gear. Am I crazy or misremembering it?

can ubisoft add "Wanted sails" as an option to use, or can add some requirements to get it like "destroyed 100 wanted ships" or something. and more ship customisation. if cannon/others can customise would be cool as well. (can we upvote so they can add more stuff pls)

Hey, there. I killed everyone on cat island not realizing I needed to “eavesdrop” to get the warehouse key. I’ve restarted the game, but it won’t respawn the guards.

And suggestions other than going back to a different save point in the game? I’d rather not lose 90 minutes of play time.
