As the flair says, girl you ABSOLUTELY have to read this!!!

As the flair says, girl you ABSOLUTELY have to read this!!!

I recently finished this book and omg it's a hidden gem!! I literally binged it in three days 😭😭😭

I was browsing Amazon for Caribbean romance (very niche I know lol) when I came across it. Honestly, the cover drew me in immediately and heavily piqued my interest!

The book is a Romantasy set in the 1930s Bahamas. The dialogue is even in authentic Bahamian accent but still understandable (there's a glossary at the back too which I thought was super cool!). This was the first time I’ve ever read a book that was set in the Caribbean and as someone with deep Caribbean roots, the representation is amazing.

It's so much deeper than what's on the blurb and the cover (which by the is literally from the first chapter in the book!)

It pulled me immediately, which is rare as it usually takes me about 3 or 4 chapters to get truly immersed into a book but my adrenaline was racing after chapter 1 and I had to see what was next.

Also if you enjoy dark fantasy, slowburns, astrology and mythology and (touch-her-and-you-die trope)...you would LOVE this!

(Also the MC is a breath of fresh of air, she feels very authentic)

This book is just so good and the author defenitely deserves her flowers! On her Amazon page she states that this is her debut novel and it will be apart of a series. Sooooo excited for the second book to come out! <3

Epistolary Gem

Recently read & loved everything about it- from the book cover to the dedication.

Looking for other books centered on grief or other letter-based novels.

Thanks!

book report for fun

I wanted to do something fun after reading this book black cake which was amazing 10/10. I thought to myself I haven’t did a book report in years why not just do a mini one on google docs. I feel like doing these after every book I read this summer can strengthen my comprehension and writing skills. Has anyone done the same?

BW main character romance books similar to off campus?

I didn't know how to properly title this lool my bad. 😭

Looking for romance books with Black woman main character, can be a single book or a series with a friend group. Would like for the book to be set in high school or college and have something to do with sports. I saw another post on here giving recommendations to books similar to off campus ( thank you!) But I am too lazy at the moment to check through all of them. Lesbian romances welcome as well. Books can be black love or interracial
