Blade ball has fallen.

You may have seen titles like this before, but I still want to share my own perspective on the direction Blade Ball has taken.

As someone who has played Blade Ball since it first came out, I honestly never expected the developers to eventually lean so heavily into what many players describe as “greedy” monetization tactics. Don't get me wrong, developers have to make a living, and the people who work on the game absolutely deserve to be paid for the time they put into it.

The problem is that, over time, monetization seems to have become a much bigger focus, while the players who don't have anything to spend on cosmetics/abilites are being left behind.

The difference between paid cosmetics and cosmetics that can actually be earned through normal gameplay is enormous. On its own, that might not seem like a huge issue. After all, cosmetics are just cosmetics. But I think it still creates a divide within the community. Players who spend a lot of money can end up with inventories filled with exclusive items, while players who either can't or don't want to spend money have significantly fewer ways to obtain anything comparable.

Another thing I'd like to mention is how some cosmetics end up being identical except for the coloring. I guess it's not that big of a deal since you can pick out a color and go and play with it, but having the end-goal being something like a "Chroma" for spending all your money on every different colored sword with an identical mesh just doesn't sit right with me.

However, I think the worst part is when monetization starts interfering with the actual gameplay.

I've come back to Blade Ball multiple times after taking breaks, only to notice the same pattern: players who have spent enormous amounts of money or essentially gambled their way through the game's systems can end up obtaining abilities that feel far more impactful than they should.

And that's where I think the line gets crossed.

There's nothing wrong with selling cosmetics, effects, animations, or other things that allow players to personalize their experience. That's a perfectly reasonable way for a free-to-play game to make money. But once spending money can start influencing how powerful you are in an actual match, the game stops feeling purely competitive.

At that point, it can feel less like “who played better?” and more like “who had the better ability?” which trust me, It becomes unfair quickly if you compare to an average f2p player.

That's especially disappointing for a game whose core appeal is its simple, skill-based combat. Blade Ball was originally enjoyable because you could jump into a match, learn the mechanics, improve your reactions, and compete with other players on relatively equal footing. You didn't need an expensive inventory to have fun.

I don't think Blade Ball needs to become completely free of monetization. The developers deserve to make money, and players who want to support the game should absolutely be able to do so.

But there should be a clear boundary between monetization and competitive gameplay.

Once that boundary starts disappearing, players aren't just buying cosmetics anymore, they're buying an advantage.

And in my opinion that's where Blade Ball risks losing what made it fun in the first place.

Blade ball unban

Recently i recovered my hacked account and also got all the robux back that the hacker spent on my account but for some reason i was banned from blade ball completely, im guessing he hacked other people in blade ball on my account since i met the hacker on blade ball 2. This happend 3 weeks ago. I didnt really play blade ball that much so i didnt really bother to make an appeal to blade ball support but today i was just checking which games i had played and i just clicked on blade ball when i saw that banned sign wasnt there anymore so i clicked on join and i actually was able to play the game. Does anyone have an explanation for this?

Done With This Game! Done With Myself! Done With MY LIFE!

I am done with this game and myself in general! I end up being naive and stupid! GONE! 9K Robux GONE! This game is full of filthy rats! I've been scammed a lot before but moved on eventually but this time it is not possible for me to let this slide! 20K tokens for 9K Robux? I should never have been this way! I should never have been so stupid! I hate this! I hate myself! I can't do this anymore! Have fun with my money mate! Spend it whichever way you like! I am not going to be around to live with this guilt of being stupid any longer! Have fun everyone! Thanks for the good memories and also the bad ones! This is my final post!
