It seems WSocial is becoming paranoia and thinks an organisation is behind the flood of 'attacks' against WSocial since their beta release. In fact, it is their own fault for constantly spreading lies, lacking transparency (e.g., closed source, poor or non-existent communication, etc.), and failing to acknowledge their own mistakes.

I have tried unfollowing and refollowing, muting and unmuting, blocking and unblocking and everything! They are the only user I have this problem with. I have gone through all of bsky's moderation tools and turned everything to 'visible' so I don't think it's marking them as 'rude' or similar.

The only thing I can think of is a long time ago I saw some kind of plug in or feature that allowed you to hide a user's OP's but still see their reposts and I think I applied it to them by mistake and have no idea what it was called or where to find it. It was back when I first joined bsky years ago and didn't really understand how it worked. I've googled every combination of my problem's description and am coming up with nothing :<

I have also turned on the bell for notifications for their posts and replies but when I went back to their page later the setting was turned back off??

For some reason Bluesky is now telling me that it detected me "in Texas, USA." And now I have to do some kind of "age verification" to access my 2 year old account. This "age verification" means identifying exactly who I am, which I'm not doing with this government and Palantir in charge.

I've never even been to Texas. After some research, apparently the Texas state legislature is trying to chill free speech by passing laws to identify people under the pretense of "the children", which is hilarious.

I can't get around this check. I've deleted the app and reinstalled but it's no use.

Has this happened to anyone else?

For the past couple weeks, while not common on a day-to-day basis, I've been getting DM'd and reposted by accounts showing disturbing images of the Gaza War and that I must "donate to help their suffering children during this crisis". Obviously, I'm not stupid to fall for it... these are definitely bots. I believe that I'm not the only one getting these sketchy messages.

Of course, I always block and report these accounts to Bluesky Moderation, but this question I ask must stand-- why in the world do these accounts exist?

(To clarify: each DM I receive from these accounts are literally the exact same. I can't share much of what the messages are because I immediately delete and report them.)

i joined bluesky because i wanted to see artists and other hobbies of mine, but every post on my discover feed is either about trump or climate change, no matter how much i press "see less of this"

not really sure what else to do... any help is appreciated!

Opened the app tonight and got a "Your account has been suspended" screen. It says I was sent an email explaining the violation, but nothing came through (checked inbox, spam, everything).

I honestly have no idea what I did. No warnings beforehand, and I can't think of anything I posted that would break the rules.

So far I've:

• Submitted an appeal in the app • Emailed moderation@blueskyweb.xyz

A few questions for anyone who's dealt with this:

• How long did it take to hear back on your appeal? • Did you ever get the explanation email, or did it just never show up? • Is there anything else I should be doing?

Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!
