He has struggled and hit bad shots in pretty much every video, but now you expect it and he can’t even hit a ball clean.

He used to mix in some really great shots in between bad ones. Solid drives, darts, long putts and even a fucking hole in one! He was always the worst golfer in the group, but there was always a chance (albeit slight) that he hit the best shot of the 3.

It’s disappointing to see that he can’t really even swing the club anymore and as a viewer makes the product really tough to watch.

I ask this purely out of sociological curiosity, no judgement at all. What do people see in this crew that keeps them watching? I understand the initial push. Their content was hilarious when the golf channel content started and carried for quite a while but whatever this is, Diet Barstool or whatever, isn't remotely close to what drew everyone in. So, I'm curious. How are they still drawing 2M viewers on their golf videos? They don't get half that for Bob HQ videos usually, which to me makes sense. It's niche content inside of niche content.

I’m still somewhat new to YouTube golf. I got into it after the Internet Invitational last year and have been hooked ever since. I’ve watched all of the Grant/Bob “Can I Beat Bob?” videos and always thought Grant seemed like a really nice guy based on everything people say about him.

I have a friend in the golf business who I was recently discussing some of the YouTubers with, and they told me that Grant is actually a huge asshole in real life.

For some reason, I have felt like he can come across a little fake at times, like he’s portraying a version of himself that isn’t necessarily who he really is, so I wasn’t completely shocked to hear it. But I was still surprised.

I understand that people watch YouTube golf mainly for entertainment, but I personally appreciate when someone is genuinely a nice person in real life too. Curious what others think.

Joey not understanding why TJ Hockenson goes down at the 1 yard line with two minutes left in that Vikings-Dolphins game makes absolute sense to me.

And of course their only complaints have to do with betting. If you’re reading this boys, you’re dense.

I have started to enjoy the Chunked group of guys so much more than BDS over the past couple months. Seems more authentic and is more enjoyable as a comedic experience than BDS. If I want to watch good YT golf I'm honestly choosing Ruffs and or Jake Adam's (personal fan of the money matches and he's hilarious)

I don’t play golf. I’ve watched your videos several times because they are authentic, uncontrived, and poignant. (Side note Poignant is not a country Bob - just use Merriam Webster)…(second side note Merriam Webster is Americas most trusted dictionary)…(third note a dictionary is where you can look up words you don’t know).

The last authentic video you had was LeBron V1. Now it’s golf sims, the same repeat video with those guys who have the better go-pros or the dude who says “wow” like he’s seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time, mixed in with a bunch of betting app adverts.

If the retract from Portnoy vis-à-vis Fox wasn’t a big enough indicator to you that people don’t want the same contrived nonsense on their screen hear this: we don’t want Barstool Lite.

I don’t know what is going to be a big enough wake up call.

We want you - Jet - FP - JBone - and yes even Cutsy just being real. Do a putt putt contest. Go to top golf. I don’t care.

Just stop trying to be something you're not. It leaks through the screen, and it's hard to watch someone with this much potential play to the level of people beneath him.
