As he should STUPID

A Washington, D.C., man has been sentenced to 85 years in prison for his role in a 2023 mass shooting at Morgan State University that injured five people during the school's Homecoming festivities.
Marquis Brown, 20, was convicted in May of five counts of attempted second-degree murder and related offenses. He was 17 at the time of the shooting and previously faced a maximum sentence of 259 years.
"This 85-year sentence ensures that he is held accountable for the devastation he caused and sends an unmistakable message about how seriously we will respond to those who recklessly endanger the lives of our young people," Baltimore City State's Attorney Ivan Bates said.
The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, 2023, near the Thurgood Marshall Apartment Complex dorms on Morgan State's campus as students gathered for Homecoming celebrations.
Baltimore Police said five people were shot, including four Morgan State students. The victims-four men and one woman between the ages of 18 and 22—suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Brown was one of two suspects charged in connection with the shooting.
A second suspect, identified as Javon "Chewy" Williams, of Washington, D.C., was indicted on June 10, 2026, in connection with the on-campus attack. Investigators said Williams was linked to the shooting within the first few days o the police investigation.
Williams was later taken into federal custody as a member of the city's Kennedy Street Crew gang. He is also serving a prison sentence in Washington, D.C., for unrelated crimes.
Williams is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 31.
The investigation and court proceedings involving Williams remain ongoing.
