Even after all the love and great reviews, Satluj had to be removed from ZEE 5 in 2 Days!

It's really sad that Satluj had to be removed from ZEE 5 so soon, even after getting so much love and so many positive reviews.

This movie already had a very difficult journey. It was delayed for years because of censorship issues, its title was changed from Punjab '95 to Satluj, and it finally released on ZEE 5 in its original uncut version after a long wait.

Many people had just started watching it, and now it's gone.

Still, credit to everyone who worked hard to bring this film to the audience. It was a brave attempt to tell an important story, and I hope Satluj returns so more people can watch it.

Exclusive! Satluj is already leaving ZEE5 after just 2 days? This is heartbreaking.

After years of delays, censorship issues, and endless waiting, Satluj finally found its way to ZEE5. It felt like justice had finally been done for the film and everyone who had waited so long to watch it.

And now, if the reports are true, it's getting removed in sometime today!

It's genuinely sad. A film that struggled for years to reach audiences deserved a proper run, not a blink-and-you'll-miss-it release. Many people probably haven't even had the chance to watch it yet.

Whatever your views on the film or its subject, this isn't how a movie with such a long and difficult journey should be treated.

Did anyone else manage to watch it before it disappears?

The Next-Gen Bollywood Girls & Their Brand Portfolios: Who Has the Biggest Commercial Potential?

I’m excluding Suhana Khan, Rasha Thadani, Khushi Kapoor and Shanaya Kapoor. They have heavy Nepo advantage.

I’ve been looking at the endorsement portfolios of Bollywood’s newest actresses and something interesting stands out.
Among the current newcomers, we have:

Aneet Padda:
Lakmé
Mia by Tanishq
Reliance Trends
Pepsi
Perk (reportedly replacing Alia Bhatt)

Sara Arjun:
McDonald’s
Pond’s
Google campaign (appears to have been a campaign collaboration rather than a long term ambassador role)

Sharvari:
Sprite
Nykaa App
Godrej Professional
Lifestyle and
Other campaigns

Pratibha Ranta:
Simple skincare

What caught my attention is not just the number of brands these actresses have, but the speed at which brands started investing in them.

For example:

Aneet Padda
Within roughly 1.5–2 months of Saiyaara’s release, she had already landed Lakmé and Mia by Tanishq.
Reliance Trends followed. Then came Pepsi. Now reports suggest she has also signed Perk replacing Alia Bhatt. So in less than a year from her mainstream breakthrough, she has accumulated endorsements across beauty, jewellery, fashion, beverages and FMCG.
That’s an unusually diverse portfolio for someone so early in her career.
What strengthens the argument further is that Vogue Business featured her in their “The It-Kids of India” list and specifically highlighted her commercial performance.
According to the article:
Instagram followers: 4.4 million
Q1 2026 average MIV (Media Impact Value): $605,000 per placement
Her top collaboration posts generated $206,000 and $318,000 in MIV respectively.

She has one of the strongest organic fan following among the new gen actors.

For someone with only a handful of mainstream projects, those numbers are impressive and suggest that brands are seeing measurable returns from associating with her.

Sara Arjun
Sara is arguably the closest competitor in terms of public awareness. She already had recognition from her child actor years especially down South, and after Dhurandhar , she gained significant mainstream visibility.
She again also has one of the strongest organic fan followings among this group.
However, what’s interesting is that despite almost seven months passing since, her ambassador portfolio currently appears little smaller.
She has McDonald’s and Pond’s, while the Google association seems to have been a campaign partnership rather than a continuing ambassador role.
This is not a criticism of Sara at all. Just curious on her branding and visibility route. She can easily get some popular brands, her team should pull up their socks.

Sharvari
Sharvari is probably the most established among the four. She already has:
Sprite
Godrej Professional
Nykaa App
Lifestyle and few other brands
and has become recognizable to mainstream audiences. The reason I place her slightly differently from Aneet and Sara is that Sharvari’s rise feels more gradual and film driven, whereas Aneet’s commercial growth has been extremely rapid.

Pratibha Ranta
Pratibha currently has the smallest endorsement portfolio.
However, she has something increasingly valuable: credibility. Her appeal feels more performance oriented than influencer oriented.
I wouldn’t be surprised if premium skincare, wellness and lifestyle brands start approaching her as her filmography grows.

My Current Ranking(my personal ranking based on sources and facts available)
Brand Value Right Now
Aneet Padda
Sharvari
Sara Arjun
Pratibha Ranta

Future Endorsement Potential
Aneet Padda
Sara Arjun
Sharvari
Pratibha Ranta

The reason I put Aneet first is not just because of the number of brands. It’s because brands signed her very quickly after her breakthrough.
Her endorsements span multiple categories.
Vogue Business highlighted her MIV performance.
She has one of the strongest organic fan followings among the newcomers.Brands seem to be betting on her future value rather than waiting for a larger filmography.
At the same time, Sara Arjun feels like the wildcard here. One major hit and conversations can change.

Also each have different agency/team representing them.
Aneet and Sharvari are YRF Talents, Pratibha is represented by Dharma’s Talent agency and Sara has a personal team handled by her manager Lokesh and parents.

What do you guys think?
Who currently has the strongest brand value among Aneet Padda, Sara Arjun, Sharvari and Pratibha Ranta? And who do you think will ultimately become the biggest star?

Edit: please keep the conversation respectful and related to the post and do not make it a fanwar🙏

alpha review 4/10

this movie could have been so good I love the restaurant scene sita was expecting a cake from the one she calls Baba instead he just tells her to kill a bunch of men and her expression omg was so sad I cried a little bit

and the close up shots were so unnecessary I do like the fight scenes they were good

and sita&durga's mother is a scientist but doesn't. know that there are many ways to have children without carrying them in your womb Surrogacy adoption ivf the test tube baby this movie could have been so good cause the actors have proved that they can act every single one this is so definitely a 4

cause I have watched other movies and shows that are 10/10 like obsession don't click Clairebell love you teacher like all of them were made in 2026 and they are wonderful everything made me cry like a baby

I wish it was a wonderful movie

The Dirty Picture recorded exceptional box office runs in single screens across B and C centres.

The Vidya Balan-starrer was a historic commercial hit because its bold theme heavily penetrated tier-2 and tier-3 markets. Here is a breakdown of the metrics:

  • Budget: ₹28.00 Cr (including marketing and prints)
  • India Net Collection: ₹79.75 Cr
  • India Gross Collection: ₹107.66 Cr
  • Overseas Collection: ₹8.89 Cr
  • Worldwide Gross Collection: ₹116.55 Cr
  • Verdict: Blockbuster

In mass-market B and C centres (smaller towns and single-screen cinemas), the film enjoyed record-breaking footfall. Historically, adult-rated or bold content in India struggles outside of major metropolitan cities, but the rural and semi-urban audience heavily consumed its mass entertainers and catchy music.

Kudos to ZEE5 for finally releasing Diljit Dosanjh's Punjab '95 as Satluj.

I genuinely didn't expect this film to ever see the light of day after years of reports about the CBFC asking for 120+ cuts. Seeing it quietly drop on a Friday without much promotion was a bold move.

The film follows the journey of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra and also features Arjun Rampal, Suvinder Vicky, Geetanjali Kulkarni, and Jagjeet Sandhu in important roles. It's powerful, emotional, and easily one of Diljit Dosanjh's best performances.

From whatever I have watched, it doesn't feel like the heavily altered version many feared, which makes the release even more surprising.

Has anyone else watching Satluj yet? What do you think?

Dulquer Salmaan Interrogated for Seven Hours in High-End Vehicle Smuggling Investigation, Four Cars Confiscated!

Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan has made headlines after being questioned by customs officials in connection with an ongoing investigation into luxury vehicle smuggling. The actor appeared before the Customs Preventive Department as part of a broader probe into the alleged illegal importation of high-end vehicles into India through the Bhutan border. The investigation is still underway, and no charges have been announced against Salmaan at this time.

Reports indicate that Salmaan was questioned for several hours by customs officials, who sought details regarding multiple luxury vehicles linked to him. Officials have also requested the actor to submit additional documents related to the vehicles under scrutiny. It is suggested that he may be summoned again as the investigation progresses. This probe is part of a nationwide crackdown known as Operation Namkhor, launched by the Customs Preventive Commissionerate, which is investigating an alleged network involved in smuggling luxury SUVs from Bhutan and evading customs duties and taxes through forged or irregular documentation.

A shocking claim has emerged from a Cocktail2 crew member against Shahid Kapoor.

Line producer Sumit Tyagi alleged that Shahid refused to step out of his vanity van during the Delhi schedule because of the city's hazardous AQI. Despite the shoot being entirely outdoors, the production reportedly rushed to arrange 5–6 air purifiers.

Tyagi claimed the air purifiers were practically useless in an open location and were brought in merely to satisfy the actor's demand.

He also described Shahid as "temperamental," saying shahid is kind of Person who will say " I want to do this now, so I will do this. Now I want to leave so I will leave". Even if it has been decided that he has to stay. He further added, he is the kind of person who believes, ‘I won’t think much about you, and you don’t think much about me. Even if you are thinking, I won’t think about you’."

These claims were made by the line producer on a podcast and have not been publicly addressed by Shahid Kapoor.

Can't trust movie critics like Taran Adarsh anymore?

I recently came across a screenshot on another subreddit claiming that Taran Adarsh charges ₹50K for a review post. And it made me curious enough to go through his past reviews.

Some of his ratings genuinely left me scratching my head.

The Vaccine War – 4/5

Badass Ravi Kumar – 3.5/5

Peddi – 3.5/5, calling it "powerful."

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai – 3.5/5

Meanwhile, there are plenty of films that many audiences enjoyed but he rated much lower. That kind of inconsistency makes it difficult for me to rely on his reviews anymore.

I also noticed he barely posted about Main Wapis Aayunga, which I personally felt deserved more attention. It made me wonder how critics decide which films to cover extensively and which ones to barely mention.

I'm not saying the ₹50K screenshot is real—I haven't verified it. But when I keep seeing ratings that feel completely disconnected from my own experience and what many moviegoers seem to think, I naturally start questioning how much weight I should give these reviews.

Am I the only one who feels it's becoming harder to trust film critics these days, or do you still rely on them before watching a movie?
