Bad experiencia with boosteroid

I used to play exclusively on GeForce NOW, but I decided to give Boosteroid a try because it supports games that GFN doesn’t, especially Fellowship.

My first thought was: “Well, Boosteroid is more expensive than GeForce NOW, so I guess the bigger game library comes with a better service.”
I couldn’t have been more wrong.

During my very first week, it was almost impossible to play. Boosteroid wasn’t updating the game as new patches were released. Every single day I had to open a support ticket asking them to update the game. By the time they finally did, I usually had to log off.

Now, after that first week, I’ve spent the last three - four days dealing with constant lag to the point where the game is completely unplayable. The strange thing is that my own connection is perfectly fine with very low latency.

I contacted support again, and they told me that the server hosting the game is no longer available for my region (Spain), so they’re routing me to a different location. The result? Once again, I can’t actually play.

I know they probably won’t issue a refund just because one specific game isn’t working properly, but it’s incredibly frustrating when one of the main reasons I subscribed—the few games that aren’t available on GeForce NOW—is effectively unplayable.

So, for anyone thinking about switching from GeForce NOW to Boosteroid just because of the larger catalog, my experience has been that it’s not worth it. I’ve ended up paying for both GeForce NOW and Boosteroid, and Boosteroid has been a huge disappointment so far.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

[Guide] Completely remove input lag from the Boosteroid app

After some testing, I found what seems to remove all input lag from the Boosteroid app.

This guide is for AMD GPUs. (If you're using NVIDIA, the process of adding the executable and forcing VSync off is probably similar.)

* First, install Rivatuner Statistics Server (This is required.)*

Steps (Make sure the Boosteroid app is completely closed. check the system tray):

1. Open AMD Adrenalin > Games > three dots > Add Game > select Boosteroid.exe from:Program Files/Boosteroid Games S.R.L./Boosteroid/Bin/Boosteroid.exe

2. In the Boosteroid.exe profile, find "Wait for Vertical Refresh" and set it to "Always Off."

3. Enable AMD Chill and set both the minimum and maximum frame rate to 60/60 or 120/120 (the stream frame you use). (Enabling AMD Chill automatically enables AMD Anti-Lag.)

4. Enable AMD FreeSync if you get screen tearing (your monitor needs to support FreeSync)

5. Open RivaTuner, Click "Add" and select the same Boosteroid.exe used in the Adrenalin steps.

6. Select the profile, then go to Setup. Under "Enable frame rate limiter," choose "NVIDIA Reflex" (NVIDIA Reflex works on AMD GPUs too)" and disable "Passive waiting."

7. Set the framerate limit to 60 or 120 on Rivatuner. (This is the most important step. Without a frame rate limit, the Boosteroid app will use 100% of your GPU. Limiting it to 60 or 120 FPS keeps GPU usage similar to running with VSync enabled, but without the added input lag.)

Keep RivaTuner running while playing. Minimize it instead of closing it. (you want Rivatuner to be running EVERY time you play boosteroid, Otherwise, Boosteroid will use 100% of your GPU.)

overlays to disable:

Disable Show On-Screen Display in RivaTuner.
Disable the Boosteroid stats overlay. Any overlay can add input lag.
If you're playing Steam games, you can also disable the in-game Steam Overlay in Steam settings.

to go back to having the Boosteroid vsync, just go on adrenalin and select: Off, unless app specifies on Wait for Vertical Refresh, disable chill and delete the rivatuner profile

Boosteroid, pls activate Windows on kv0 server

Dear Boosteroid Team,

Would you please consider assigning a Windows license key to the machine (kv0.cloud.boosteroid.com / Kyiv 0 server) so I could play my favorite games without the annoying watermark during gameplay?

Thank you for your service and best regards,

FSR 4 is now available on Boosteroid

The AMD drivers on Boosteroid have finally been updated, so games compatible with FSR 4 can now be played using it.

I tested it with Cyberpunk 2077, Resident Evil Requiem, and The Alters, and it was available in all of them.

Boosteroid Service Update for Europe

Europe is going through an abnormal heatwave, and one of the facilities hosting our infrastructure has experienced overheating.

For safety reasons, we temporarily turned off part of our GPU servers. This may cause short-term queues for some users in the region.

Engineers are already adressing on the issue. The affected servers will be brought back online as soon as the equipment can operate safely again.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Crimson Desert performance on Boosteroid

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some help with Crimson Desert performance on Boosteroid Ultra Pro.

I’m playing on a MacBook M1 connected to a Xiaomi 34-inch ultrawide monitor. In-game, I set the resolution to 4K, because it seems to be the only playable option that fits my monitor properly and still looks decent. I haven’t changed the upscaling settings.

The problem is that I had to lower the graphics to High, because Ultra or Cinematic settings are basically not playable for me. Even on High, when I’m in towns, I get noticeable sound stuttering and sometimes video stuttering too.

Overall, I’m not really enjoying the experience visually or gameplay-wise, which is disappointing since I’m paying for the Ultra Pro subscription.

Has anyone else had similar issues with Crimson Desert on Boosteroid? Are there any settings I should change, either in-game, on Boosteroid, or on macOS, to make the game smoother and still look good on an ultrawide monitor?

Any tips would be appreciated.

Settings

Hello,

I recently started using boosteroid to play Fellowship and until today the experience was ok.

Today something changed I don’t know what but I have to login steam every time and every settings in game are reset. Everything ! For most games it’s not a big deal but for this kind of games having to start over everytime is very painful. So painful that I don’t even want to play anymore.

What is causing this change ? The first few days I played my ui was saved in between each session.

Boosteroid unplayable - Oblivion Remastered

Hi, I dunno what's happening, but I can't run this game at good FPS on boosteroid. I can run it very well on geforce now, but the datacenters are far away and I get 41-43ms ping, while on boosteroid I have 29ms ping (a lot better) on a 1gbps connection.

The CPU or the GPU of boosteroid are not maxed, not even singular cores, but I'm running the game at unstable 40 FPS, no matter how much I decrease the settings.

On the NVIDIA geforce now I can run at up to 120 FPS (with DLSS FG) at 4K or up to 170-180 fps at 1080p (DLSS FG) on the same game and same settings.

Dropping FSR from native (4K) to ultra performance (720p internal) does 0 to the fps. At first I thought it was my weak laptop struggling with the stream (iGPU running 85% usage), but even with this one with an RTX 4060 at 20% usage, I have the same performance.

The 7900 XT GPU from boosteroid doesn't ever go above 75% usage and the individual cores don't go above 70% usage, which is very weird.

Here's a screenshot of the performance: https://imgur.com/a/iKjYEJg

It's such a shame, since the quality of the stream and ping are a big upgrade vs geforce now for me, but the hardware performance is horrendeous. Any tips?

Thanks.

Boosteroid needs to activate Windows

This is the 3rd computer I have connected too without a valid windows key. 3 different server locations; Florida, Pennsylvania, and Texas. It is extremely annoying.

This Cloud Gaming service is garbage.

I’ve been using this platform since September 2025 after switching from GFN because of its many supposed advantages, such as being able to download PTBs, having no 100-hour limit, and more. However, I have to say that this service is complete garbage. At this point, I genuinely feel like everyone claiming it’s a great service is either a bot or being paid to promote it, because I refuse to believe most of the positive reviews are genuine.

When I first subscribed, I immediately noticed occasional stuttering, with my latency randomly spiking from around 30 ms to well over 250 ms. As you can imagine, this is incredibly frustrating when you’re playing games that require low latency, especially on a cloud gaming platform where performance is everything.
When the servers are full, you’re placed in a queue that can range from position 1 to position 57—or even higher. But honestly, it doesn’t even matter, because once you finally get into a server, your latency can jump from 20 ms to over 2,700 ms. That only shows how overloaded the servers are. No matter which server you connect to, the experience is often the same.

The customer support is also far from ideal. I used to play through Boosteroid’s web version, where I constantly had an issue where the latency would be reported as around 30 ms, yet it felt more like 600 ms because of the massive input lag. Moving my mouse or controlling my character felt unbelievably delayed. I opened a support ticket once this became unbearable, and they asked me to download some sort of diagnostic tool to monitor my connection during a Boosteroid session. I sent them the requested screenshots, and after reviewing them, they simply told me to wait a few days. I did exactly that, only to never receive a clear explanation or an actual solution.

Finally, from what I’ve seen, the company also seems to prioritize certain regions over others. I’m from the EU, and whenever I read discussions about server performance, people playing on the Brazilian servers almost always report that everything works perfectly. I rarely see them complaining about the same issues. That makes me think Boosteroid invests more heavily in the infrastructure and server quality of certain regions. I understand that they may prioritize markets with a larger user base, but it still feels unfair to customers in other regions who are paying the exact same subscription.

Anyway, this will be my last month using Boosteroid. The only times the service is actually usable are either very early in the morning (7:00 AM–11:00 AM) or very late at night (1:00 AM–5:00 AM), which is obviously not practical for most people.

Am I the only one who's happy with Boosteroid?

I'm based in Brussels (Belgium), so I can only speak for my experience here.

I've been using Boosteroid for about 4–5 months now. Honestly, at the beginning I wasn't impressed at all. I was coming from GeForce NOW and, thanks to a promo, I actually had both subscriptions at the same time. The difference was pretty obvious back then. Input latency wasn't great, whether I used the Windows app or the browser.

When my GeForce NOW subscription ended (couldn't afford to renew it 😅), I decided to keep using Boosteroid instead of going back.

Over the last month or two though... something definitely changed. The latency is now honestly really good. It feels very close to GeForce NOW for me.

I also always switch to H.265 and the highest 16:9 resolution, and the image quality has been excellent. I've recently played 007 First Light, The Last of Us Part II, and God of War Ragnarök, and I've had a great experience with all of them.

Sure, you can tell it's not running on the equivalent of a 5080 like GFN Ultimate, but in actual gameplay it's been much better than I expected.

What keeps me from going back to GeForce NOW, though, is Boosteroid's game library. It simply has way more of the games I actually want to play, and that's become a huge advantage for me.

My only real complaint is the Windows app. It never remembers my video settings, so every time I launch a game I have to enable H.265 and set the resolution again. It's not a huge deal, but it's annoying enough that I hope they fix it.

Overall, I'm actually pretty happy with Boosteroid now. A few months ago I probably wouldn't have recommended it, but today? At least from Belgium, it's been a really solid experience.

Weird cursor movement issue

I've been getting this weird issue where my mouse cursor acts strangely while using boosteroid. It feels similar to mouse acceleration when the cursor moves all over the place and past the spot you actually point it to, but it also happens with slow mouse movement as well. When I try to stop on a button and press it, the cursor might glide past it like it's on ice. When i try to move the cursor a tiny bit, like 2 cm, it might move 10cm instead. Also my mouse scroll wheel works inconsistently when this happens.

This only happens when i'm in the boosteroid stream, my cursor moves normally if I alt-tab to my desktop or hold esc to open the boosteroid menu. It is not a mouse issue, i'm playing on a macbook and if i use the trackpad when this happens it's all the same. I'm almost sure this happened after a boosteroid update today. I was playing deadlock earlier with no issues, after the update i went to play CoD and this issue started happening, now it's happening no matter what game i start.

Please help, it takes me several tries to push a button in the menu and needless to say this massively affects my aim, so most games are unplayable.
