I want to be a more involved and reliable trader. I don't have a lot of info, only some on a small handful of boots. I have a lot of rips as well unfortunately, because I didn't know what was ok and not okay when I first started trading. So I don't have file sizes listed but I am hopefully getting those up to show what is and isn't a rip. But if I could trade them out for real files, not leaks, that would be wonderful! I feel so horrible for anyone who has got ghosted by me, I texted you all when I was at school on lunch break over a few days and then when I got home on the last day I went on holiday, so I didn't check my phone or notifications. I had a few rips on my list, I'll admit that, but they're either gone or fixed now and the links on my link list are official ones from the master. I really don't appreciate my email getting leaked either because like that's my email..

I've been a long time listener of musicals, and last year I finally got to see Hadestown on Broadway while Jordan Fisher was in it as my very first Broadway show.. Ever since then I've been completely obsessed

Now somehow (by some miracle) my boyfriend (who I usually have to cry, beg, and drag in by the ankles to watch musicals with me) has actually expressed genuine interest in watching some, and I desperately want to capitalize on this opportunity before the window closes 🥹

The problem is: I have absolutely NO clue how people actually find recordings/bootlegs(?)/proshots/etc., especially specific casts/actors and especially versions with video. I've been lurking a little to try my best to be respectful and actually understand the rules / etiquette of the community before groveling. but I'm honestly on a bit of a time crunch and feeling. kind of desperate here T_T. therefore groveling i am

The ones I'm dying to find are:

• Hadestown with Jordan Fisher (bias? me? never)
• Lily Kerhoas as Christine in Phantom of the Opera
• Hamilton (self explanatory)
• Ride The Cyclone

And he wanted to watch all the musicals I bolded
(he doesn't have a preference for actors or anything.. ofc.. if i were to get my hands on a POTO w/o lily i'd be just as over the moon)

If literally anyone could point me in the right direction, explain where to even start looking, or help at all, I would genuinely be SO grateful 😭 I feel like this is my one shot to enjoy what I love with him before he changes his mind and escapes me forever..

Just curious about peoples' opinions on this. I have a healthy collection, and I enjoy trading. I see that a lot of traders on Encora specifically state that they will only accept Mega links.

However, as all of our wallets continue to get squeezed, it's difficult for me to justify the monthly Mega fee. I would gladly use Dropbox, if that's acceptable to most folks, but I don't want to be drummed out of the trading community simply because I can't afford the "preferred" online storage.

Do many of you get by without Mega? (or with just the Mega free account?)

Hi! Like many here I'm super new to the community. I've always loved musicals, but tbh never knew it was possible to watch the broadway shows (not from the US and can't travel unfortunately) and just now discovered the community. Been doing my best to read all rules and seeing how things work, so if I mess anything up, please correct me

I've seen a lot of people that are also new requesting gifts so they can begin trading, so I'm assuming this is okay. I'm personaly more looking to actually watching, then focusing on the trading aspect right now, but from what I've gathered, I'll need to trade if I want to watch something really specific

Right now honestly I'm just looking forward to getting to know new plays, so would love to accept whatever you guys think is like a must watch (and when I say I'm new, I'm new new. Like only saw Hadestown new 😅)

I was trading with someone on here through email. They said they needed my files to be sent via transfer . it + their post where I originally found them is now deleted.

One of the links (we did a 2:2 video trade) is for archive . org, which I don't think is the original file and probably a rip.

the full trade was (me giving) spring awekening 15th anniversary concert and Hadestown with lola tung FOR Sondheim on sondheim concert and Hadestown with Dónal Finn + Grace Hodgett-Young. The hadestown is the one on archive and is most definitely a rip now that i think about it.....

Another thing is, they wanted to trade for something on my list that they already had and said that their's was probably a rip. which is weird to me like, if someone said that they wanted to trade for that boot from them they most likely would've just given the rip.

I think they deleted their account entirely or got banned (here on reddit) and now I just feel really terrible.

But I've had no success through Encora bc it only shows me 3 owners. One is closed to trades, one is open (I emailed them a couple of days ago, but I haven't had any reply yet), and one is open to limited trades, but I have nothing I can trade them for it. I figured I could try here to see if anyone off-encora has it. Apparently, it's a 3. 79 GB VOB file but that's all I know about it. If any of you has it and wants to trade for it, I'd be really, really happy :)
