Bottega … Help me with this one ☝️

Ok, so today I stumbled upon this dark caramel Giorno in Bloomingdale’s today and got it since it was the last one and I was looking for a similar color bag.
Now, I got the dustbag with the chain in fondant - tried them both on today - do both look crazy similar 😄? I feel they look pretty similar, and now thinking of a couple other options that would give me some variety. I also have the small andiamo in lava red

  1. Dustbag in beige color
  2. Small andiamo in green (they also had one in store today and it’s a beautiful shade of green)
  3. Small andiamo in fondant

What do you all think of the Giorno color ? I found it neutral and could work year around

Never mind my polka dots here 😄

anyone know the age of this bag?

My mom got me this Veneta briefcase at an estate sale and we can't find any information on the Internet about it. Does anyone have any idea what year it's from?

HELP ME WITH MY FIRST BIG PURSCHASE

Hi everyone! 🤎💚 I’m about to make my first big handbag purchase, as in my first bag over $1,000, and I desperately need some advice.

I was recently in Monaco and stopped by Bottega Veneta, where I completely FELL IN LOVE with the Jodie after getting to see it, touch it, try it on, and experience it in person. I’ve deliberately waited for so long before buying my first high end designer bag because I always wanted that first purchase to be something I genuinely fell head over heels for, a bag I could see myself keeping for the rest of my life. I’m ridiculously sentimental about things like this, so I already know this bag will always be “the first one” to me 😂

The one that completely stole my heart in the boutique was the green tweed suede Jodie. It’s much more adventurous than anything I currently own since all of my bags are black, brown, or beige, but there was just something about it. I couldn’t stop thinking about it afterwards.

I actually managed to find the green one, completely new, through a reputable retailer that partners with major luxury brands, and because of a membership I have with them, I was able to get 22% off.
BUT… here’s my dilemma.

I’ve never owned a suede bag before, I live in Sweden, so rain, snow, and generally questionable weather are very much a reality 😅, and I know suede is considerably more delicate. On top of that, since I wouldn’t be purchasing it directly through Bottega and because it’s suede, it wouldn’t come with Bottega’s lifetime warranty and care.

The other option is the brown leather Jodie, which I also really loved in person. It’s timeless, much more practical, far less delicate, and something I could realistically use all year round without constantly worrying about damaging it. I’d also be able to purchase it with Bottega’s lifetime warranty, including access to repairs and treatments over the years.
So I’m torn between the green suede, the more unique, limited edition, slightly impractical one that I absolutely fell in love with the moment I saw it, and the brown leather, the timeless and practical one that I could use constantly, in every season, and hopefully keep in beautiful condition for decades with Bottega’s lifetime care.

Since this is my first major designer bag purchase, and I genuinely want to keep it for the rest of my life, what would you do? Would you choose the sensible brown leather Jodie because of the longevity, versatility, and lifetime care, or would you follow your heart and get the limited edition green suede Jodie, knowing it’s more delicate, less practical for Swedish weather, and doesn’t have the same lifetime coverage?

Part of me thinks my first designer bag should be the one that makes the most sense for a lifetime, but another part of me thinks the whole reason I waited this long was to find the bag that made me feel exactly the way that green Jodie did. 🥲💚

Decisions….talk me into or out of this bag!!

Found this gorgeous orange mini loop camera bag. Debating if I should bite the bullet or see when the next holiday discounts might go deeper. Can always call bigger outlets to see if they are already discounted more but want to give this nice lady the sale. Still getting my daughter settled into her dorm and it’s my last day with her. Figured a nice treat for Momma to wear during football season to match with my Denver Broncos 🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙 Surprisingly it does fit my 17pro max!! Thoughts???? It’s not a do or die but I’ve always wanted an orange bag and never jumped.

Is this “tear” worth bringing up?

Hi everyone!

I bought the dustbag about 7 months ago and recently noticed that one side is no longer stitched together.

Pictures 1 & 2 show that the leather is separating, with a small piece of leather starting to “tear” away.

Picture 3 shows the other side, which is perfectly stitched together for comparison.

Do you think this is worth bringing up to my sales associate?

I’m worried that the longer I use the bag, the more the side will continue to separate and eventually expose or damage the nylon lining.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Help with authentication on Bottega Veneta bag

I purchased this Bottega Veneta Intrecciato bag from Poshmark from a seller that said it is authentic and I just received the purse and am very skeptical on the authenticity of it. The quality of the purse itself and its hardware and the lack of serial number/tag is making me question it all. This is my first Bottega purchase and don't have anything to compare it to in my own personal bag collection. I also used the NFC Tools app and it didn't recognize anything within the bag. Any help is appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Bottega Sunrise - Senser Purchase

First time ordering through this site and really disappointed. Ordered my first Bottega and it came damaged. The return is expensive ($180).

I had ordered through SSENSE before no issues, everything came in original packaging with dust bag. This site came only with the dust bag and looks wonky.

Need help identifying if it’s even real. What do you think?
