Hi everyone. My name is Ed Gross and I'm Senior Entertainment Editor at Woman's World, where my focus is on Classic TV and Sci-Fi. I recently did a pretty in depth profile of actress Florence Henderson and this is a visual excerpt from it. If you'd like to check out the rest, you can just do a search for Florence Henderson womansworld .com. Hope you enjoy.
According to how the Real Brady Bros podcast described Ann B. Davis, she was closer to Sargent Emma than Alice behind the scenes to the kids. She demand discipline and professionalism by the kids.
I think Season 1 is the weakest season (even more so than Season 5). The characters were not very developed. It look like they knew what direction to go in. Focusing more on the parents than the kids or vice versa.
Celebrity Bowling with Barry/Maureen vs. Chris/Eve.
A few tidbits.
The Brady daughters on and off the screen. The extra daughters are Bob's and Florence's daughters who appeared in the slumber party episode.
RIP Robert Reed, Karen Reed, and Florence Henderson.
The Brady Bunch theme song is one of the most iconic TV shows openings and it got some covers and/or spoofs. My favorite one has to be The Marvel Bunch, performed by the cast of the MCU movie Avengers : Infinity War (2018) on a skit from The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. What are your favorite covers/parodies of The Brady Bunch theme song? Tell me in the comments.
I've been listening to the first few episodes (just got past the Hawaii shows recaps and from the sounds of it, Chris was closer to his TV family than his real family. Chris had a older brother who constantly beat him up (Chris should show up for taping from bruises) and his mother wouldn't stop it. His brother would only stop when Chris's father came home, which wasn't often.
Chris has said he viewed Robert Reed as more of a father figure than his real father. He would often go to Bob to get fatherly advice even years after the show ended. Barry was more like the older brother who would teach the younger brother about life, even if it was stuff that his real family or Bob or Florence wouldn't want him to know. Like on the show, Barry would try to teach him on how to approach women and like Peter, Chris was very shy around woman at the time.
He was probably closest to Eve among the girls. Apparently Eve taught him a few things and had the hots for him.
Susan, Eve, and Barry appeared on MTV's Remote Control in 1989.
