50 [F4M] curious and curiouser

I’m accomplished and independent, with a career I genuinely love and a life that I’m very happy with. I don’t need someone to complete it. But I’d really like to meet the person who makes me want to share more of it.

I’m drawn to intelligence, confidence, kindness and curiosity. To a man who knows who he is, has a life of his own, and doesn’t take himself too seriously. Someone who can make me laugh, surprise me occasionally, and keep me interested long after the first conversation.

I’m attracted to connection that has a little depth to it. The kind where conversation becomes effortless, where you find yourself checking your phone with a ridiculous little smile, and where the chemistry is just as interesting as the conversation.

I’m also rather fond of independence. My ideal relationship isn’t necessarily one where two people have to be joined at the hip. I’m much more intrigued by the idea of two people having full lives of their own, while deliberately choosing to make space for each other. Living apart together appeals to me for exactly that reason.

I’m generally looking to meet someone between 42 and 55, although I’ve never been particularly convinced that chemistry pays much attention to age ranges.

As for me, I’m independent, curious and probably a little more romantic than I initially let on. I love good conversation, discovering somewhere new, laughing until my face hurts, and those unexpected moments when someone catches you completely off guard.

I’m not looking for a hundred messages.
I’m hoping for one.
One that makes me pause.
One that makes me curious.

I’m not in a desperate hurry. I’m just quietly hoping that somewhere out there is a man who makes me think, “Oh. It’s you.”

31 [F4M] Looking to Enjoy Dating Again

Hi everyone! I'm a 31 year-old lady looking to start dipping my toes again in the dating scene. I was married for 9 years (together for 10) and separated in February of this year.

Whilst I'm not ready to get married again, I'd like to meet people to try and learn what type of people I enjoy most (I hope that makes sense?). I do miss being a wife, so I apologise if my preferences for dates and outings are too wholesome? hahaha honestly don't know what I'm doing in this space. What I do know for sure is that I'm not looking for a free meal and have no interest in you paying for me. Also, I'm a broke uni student so I'm 100% down for cheap activities, cost of living y'all 😭

I love walking in nature, reading, hiking, combat sports and just having a yarn over coffee. I enjoy movies but often can't sit through a whole movie without chatting or getting up to pee (sorry). Really wanted to watch the Odyssey but I know my limits... self-awareness is important.

I'm a very direct person (on account of my south american heritage) and do not hesitate to speak my mind (respectfully most of the time). I like to think that I'm kind, and that I like to show up as authentically as I can. Most of the time what you see/hear is what you get with me.

I consider myself kinda pretty, but I'm oompa loompa size (1.62m) and average in body weight.

If any of this sounds interesting please check out my profile and dm me :)

Edit: looking for 27-36 years old. Brisbane area (please no messages from overseas or hours and hours away).

38 [F4M] Looking for a long term relationship

Hi everyone, thought I'd put myself out there and see who's around. I'm 38,based in Brisbane. Never married , no kids. I enjoy staying active, the gym, hiking, trying new cafes, reading, painting, and planning my next travel adventure.I'm naturally a little introverted at first, but I do enjoy meaningful conversations, a good laugh, and quality time with people I care about.I'm hoping to meet someone emotionally mature, kind, and communicative, who's genuinely looking for a long-term relationship. A good sense of humour, active lifestyle, and curiosity about life are all big pluses. Not interested in playing games or endless chatting with no intention of meeting. If this sounds like your kind of vibe, send me a message and tell me a little about yourself. I also have to add that I am of African heritage.

33 [F4M] looking for my Clyde

I'm a 33yo female living on the Northside of Brisbane with my little furbaby, now single for just over a year and a half and until recent I didn't want another relationship but realising that I have wasted way too much time in my life and way too much time to the wrong people.
Im horrible when coming to the dating scene.
Too many just play games and string you along.
I'm sick of wasting time I want to finish creating a life with someone, having that person bring light and happiness instead of tears and sadness! To go to the markets, do gardening, read books on a picnic blanket in a park, find cute new places and new adventures, support each other through thick and thin and not just walk away because life and love can be scary. I want someone there to cuddle and loyal to each other.
I have a cat who is my absolute world and he is a very greedy little man doesn't like to share well ever, I love animals in general. My god children are my world and are like mine anyway. I work, study and starting a business up currently, I'm more of a night owl and I don't have many friends it honestly is just mainly my cat.
I can be relaxed as hell and then be another level of crazy, I'm always a handful but the right type. I will always have your back and be a good little housewife and love unconditionally to the right person.

33 [F4M] LTR

Heya! 😊 I'm 33 and looking for a genuine, long-term relationship. I'm a proud single mum, so my son is a big part of my life. If we're going to build something together, it's important that you accept both of us. I'm more than happy if you have kids too—blended families can be something really special. A little about me: I love hiking (I go every fortnight), roller coasters, and having a laugh. I enjoy playful banter, cute little remarks, and someone who appreciates the small things I do. I'm affectionate, loyal, and looking for someone who puts effort into a relationship. I've chatted with a few guys on here, but I've realised I need someone who knows how to balance work and their personal life. I completely respect having a career, but I'm looking for someone who also makes time for the people they care about. I'm looking for someone aged 25–40 who's kind, funny, emotionally available, and genuinely wants to build a future together. Also someone who is active to keep up with me hiking or other means 😅 Surely there's people who know what they want!

Prefer Caucasian and living in Brisbane please.

Please no time wasters.

27 [F4M] Husband Wanted, applications now open

Position Available: Husband
Applications now open
After careful consideration (and what I believe is an adequately powered sample size of disappointing dating experiences), I’ve decided to recruit a husband via Reddit.
Is this unconventional? Yes. Is it significantly less weird than some of the people I’ve met in real life? Also yes.
I’m approaching this the same way I approach most things in life: intentionally, with a sense of humour, and after collecting enough evidence to justify a slightly ridiculous decision. So….welcome to the recruitment process.
About the Hiring Committee
I’m 27 and live in Brisbane. I’ve accidentally built a life I genuinely love. I have a career that challenges me every day. Friends who are family. A calendar that’s usually full of adventures, conferences, gym sessions, last-minute flights, and conversations that somehow begin with, “I have a question…” and end four hours later.
I’m intensely curious about people and the world. I love museums, bookstores, wine bars, trivia nights, exercising, travelling, terrible karaoke, and anyone who gets visibly excited talking about the thing they love. I care deeply about making the world a little better than I found it.
I’m fiercely independent but independence isn’t the same thing as wanting to do life alone. Lately I’ve found myself wishing there was someone beside me to say, “You’ll love this,” when I discover a new restaurant, book a trip, achieve something exciting, or stumble across something beautifully ridiculous. That’s what I’m looking for. Not someone to complete my life but someone to share it with.
Essential Selection Criteria
You are probably somewhere between 27 and 35.
Ideally based in Brisbane (or at least planning to be).
You’re genuinely kind and compassionate.
Progressive.
Emotionally mature and self-reflective.
Intellectually curious.
Fun, and enjoy aggressive banter.
Respect for women (beyond saying “I respect women”
You must enjoy having an ambitious partner without feeling the need to control her or “rein her in”.
Highly Desirable
You can laugh at yourself.
You have at least one niche interest that lights you up.
You’ll happily spend three hours talking after dinner because neither of us realised what time it was.
You think competence is attractive.
You’d like a dog one day.
*Working in or experience in academia highly desirable but absolutely not essential
Next Steps
Successful applicants will progress to Stage Two. This involves several two-way interviews, photo exchange, reference checks, discovering whether there’s mutual attraction, and discussing a couple of important compatibility topics that don’t really belong in a public job advertisement.
If we both think there’s something worth exploring, you might progress to the “in the wild stage”….
How to Apply
Skip “hey.” Tell me about yourself. Tell me what you care about. Tell me what made you stop scrolling and think, “You know what… this is a bit unhinged but I kind of love it”.
I look forward to receiving your application!
Kind regards,
The Hiring Committee (me and a few of my closest friends who tried to say “just get on Hinge” but knew they were not going to win)
