NO LIMIT / ILR Visa /EVisa about to apply for British citizenship. however how will my application be impacted if I change my nationality before getting a British passport?

I have ILR and have had it for decades in passport A I now will be applying to get an EU passport passport E. I will have to surrender my passport A as it does not allow dual citizenship. I will then only have passport E. I want to apply for a British passport too, will this impact my ability to apply this year or get a British passport?

Stateless child

I am a British citizen because I was born in the UK to British parents. However, my sister is British by descent because she was born outside of the UK. The same goes for her husband.

When they tried to apply for a British passport for their child, their application was denied, rendering their child stateless.

The country we live in will grant citizenship to the child but they will need to show formal proof that the child isn’t British.

I’ve been scouring the British Nationality Act but there is nothing the explicitly states that the foreign born child of a foreign born British citizen (therefore British by descent) isn’t entitled to British citizenship. It’s all _inferred_. And my sister needs something watertight that can be translated.

Does anyone know who to contact in order to get said a letter denying my niece? Or is there a government webpage that explicitly states someone in my niece’s situation would be ineligible?

Any pointers would be gratefully received. Thanks!
