Is it normal to wait this long after being selected by a client?
Hi everyone,
I was interviewed on June 17, and on June 23 I received confirmation that the client had selected me for the role. Since then, it’s been 8 business days (10 calendar days), and I haven’t received any updates.
I sent a follow-up email a few days ago, but the only response I got was an automated acknowledgment.
For those who’ve gone through a similar hiring process:
- Is this a normal waiting period after being selected?
- What’s the longest you’ve had to wait before receiving the next steps or an official start date?
- At what point would you start looking at other opportunities instead of continuing to wait?
I’m trying to be patient since I know onboarding can sometimes take time and it might be a thing on the client’s end.
