My Brutal Legend Collection
I used to work at EA during the time when Brutal Legend was made. My job was to produce press events where the press would come in to play the games in advance so that they could write previews and reviews about the games. Some games got their own dedicated events.
Part of my job was choosing the venues, ordering signage, organizing a caterer, making sure all the TVs, consoles, network and other A/V stuff is there, etc.
I've always been a collector and deep into video games since I was a kid (my Dad used to work at Atari), so I would sometimes collect various items that would normally end up in the trash after the game shipped.
One of these items is this big vinyl banner of the games cover art. I believe it was made for a Brutal Legend multiplayer event that I produced in San Francisco in august of 2009 (we probably used it at other events as well, but I can't remember). I searched around and found a video of Tim being interviewed in front of it - I think this interview took place at the SF event. The banner is a bit wrinkled now from being folded in storage, but its still in good shape.
I also held onto some foam-core "medallions" of the Brutal Legend version of the EA logo. They were used to decorate the TV stands on stage at the event. I think we may have also re-used them at a pre-E3 event as well but I couldn't find any pictures of that.
Anyway, I was going through my storage and found these things. I think they are awesome, and figured this would be the place to show them off to other people that would appreciate them.
