Why are the 2026 Buckethead shows so dimly lit?

I saw Buckethead in Phoenixville last night. I've seen him live many times, but brought a friend seeing him for the first time. The show was pretty much his usual fare, except for the lighting. That night, and now seemingly every other night in 2026, the stage is only illuminated by a dim blue light.

Normally I try to go to general admission shows where I can show up early and be near the stage, but this venue had assigned seating and I could only get seats 9-10 rows back when I got around to ordering tickets. To be clear, I've been that far back before, and it wasn't a problem when the stage was well lit. Maybe he looked okay from the front row, but from as far back as we were, it was hard to see his hands, hard to see him in general, and (if you're like me and don't have a real camera and are just trying to get pictures on your phone at that distance) it was very hard to get pictures with that lighting as well.

My friend and I enjoyed the experience, except for the lighting. Why are the latest shows so dimly lit? This isn't a Sunn O))) show or something where you want it dark and barely able to see the artist on stage. Call me old fashioned, but I want to be able to SEE Buckethead on stage when he performs live.

Pike 809 - “Horseless Carriage"

Today is truly a special day for me. My most inspiring moment as an artist has come to fruition. I was given the exciting opportunity to collaborate with Buckethead and am now happy to reveal he has chosen this painting to be the cover of Pike 809, “Horseless Carriage”. I am so very thankful beyond words. Thank you Buckethead for making my dream collaboration come true. You are an incredible human being, who inspires so many like myself and am truly blessed our creative paths have finally crossed from your amazing gift of music. Also a warm gratitude to the fellow artists, family, friends, and fellow bots who enjoyed my art along the way and kept me motivated to continue to paint. Love all the wonderful praise I received earlier. Please support and order this amazing new Pike album.

Does Buckethead not upload some of his stuff to spotify?

I was looking for a specific song, and couldn't find it. Anyone know if some of his songs got taken down?

Side note: I should specify that the song is called "Hey Here's An Idea Why Don't We Look Out For Each Other For Kid's Sake"

We need bucket in shorts again!

Title pretty much says everything, with that jacket on and pants summer is around the corner and the man needs to be comfy again. I'm planning to see him in NYC and the place is melting already Lol

What song is this?

I can't figure out which song this is. It was played at the Wilbur in Boston. It came around after Gory Head Stump and before Scraps.

Buckethead was awesome tonight!

Tonight in Fairfield was incredible. I don't know what happened but he came out for the 2nd set on fire. Roundhouse kicks, side to side at the front of the stage etc he had so much energy.

Planning to see bucket for 1st time. Ok to bring kids?

All ages venue. Kids (10F/15F) both want to come. This is fine, right? Earplugs will be required for them. Seems like he'd draw a friendly crowd

Bryan Theiss on Instagram: "I had the opportunity to design a set of guitar picks.

Anyone seen those at shows? Hope they get to worldwide retail, but somehow doubt that. Would love to get hold of a tin.
