Looking to move to the area

We’re considering a move to the area but I don’t really know much about the towns. What are the best towns to move to for a family with a toddler? Looking for an area where people are friendly, there’s a lot to do for kids, good schools, good food (especially Italian food).

And for reference our budget is like $800-900k for a 4 bed house.

I was looking at Doylestown, Chalfont, perkasie, warrington. Any advice on the towns or other ones we should consider?

Indoor spots for children? Preferably under $20?

With it being so hot, I need things to do with my son. He is 22 months and I am 5 months pregnant so I really cannot do this heat as of late.

We frequent the library, Oxford Valley Mall, and pet stores to burn time. Any suggestions are appreciated !!

Such a cutie!

This girl was waiting for me near my township's community garden. She was there when I left about 20 minutes later. She was very curious about me, not showing any fear at all, which isn't really a good thing for her, TBH.

No power in lower bucks

Anyone else in the falls township/ lower Morrisville area lose power last night and still not get it back on?? Or does anyone have any updates and know why the power is still out? I feel like that storm that blew through last night wasn’t even really that bad for the power to still be out.

Inline/roller skating rink recs in Upper Bucks?

I’m looking to learn to inline skate more seriously! I loved the rink in my college town, but I only moved here about a year ago after graduating and I’m not sure what the best places around are. Would also love to meet people around my age (I’m 23F) who inline or roller skate just to make some new friends and learn more :) Any recs appreciated! Central and lower Bucks recs are also fine, I’m not sure how much luck I’ll have in sticking to upper lol.

Light out at 413 and 202.

Head’s up for the Venn Diagram of people who check Reddit for traffic information and people currently out in this mess. The traffic light at 413 and 202 in Buckingham is out. Police are there but basically it’s a 4 way stop.

Dog rehoming?

My mom is going into an assisted living situation where she may not be able to bring her dog with her.

I am doing a little discovery for what options may be available in Bucks County for a rehoming situation. Nothing is set in stone at the moment; just researching ✌️

Edit: Adding some more info! Her dog is a small, female Bichon Shitzu mix. She has training but can still be excited by new people in the house or other dogs. She does not have overwhelming health concerns; she recently has some blood work and there were concerns about her liver health. I don't have much info other than that. I've been with her for 3 weeks after diagnosis and she has not shown signs of vomiting or other warning signs regarding deteriorating health.

I'm very interested to learn about positive rehoming experiences.

Southampton Days Fireworks

Hey all, we have a large group in town overnight. We’re hoping to go see some fireworks and noticed this is relatively close to where we’re staying. Anyone know any details? Good show? Is it a nightmare for parking, or driving in/out. Any other info would be much appreciated. Happy Independence Day, everyone!

Good place to hang out tonight?

Feel like going out tonight and none of my friends are available. F65, just looking for a relaxed vibe, some good music and an atmosphere that won't make me feel weird for being alone. Fireworks are ok, but that's not really what I'm looking for.

What about Dharma Bums? Anyone know the place?

Quality Turf/grass soccer fields?

Are there any good turf/grass fields open to the public in the area? I grew up in NJ where you were allowed to access public school fields when school wasn’t in session, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here. The grass soccer fields are terrible here, at least the ones I’ve found, holes everywhere not worth the risk of injury.

In Ground Pool?

It may be a fever dream, but I cannot stop thinking about stepping into my backyard and dropping into a pool. I’ve looked up local building codes…we would need to add a little fencing and of course get a permit. Has anyone had one installed fairly recently who can recommend a company?
