Ganing laptop

Hi guys,
I’m currently looking for a gaming laptop and I’m considering the Lenovo Legion 5 with 24GB RAM, 1TB SSD, an RTX 5070, and an Intel Core i7.
I’m not sure whether I should go with Intel or an AMD Ryzen 7 version, or if there are other laptops I should consider instead.
My main priorities are:
Editing and rendering high-quality videos (4K and possibly RAW footage)
Some gaming from time to time
Good portability, as I’m travelling a lot
Reasonable battery life and not being too heavy to carry around
Would you recommend the Legion 5 for this use case, or are there better alternatives in a similar price range?
Thanks!

Do you guys have a gaming laptop suggestion like the laptop here?

I'm just looking for a good laptop for my brother.
I have this laptop because of this video, but it's too expensive

My brother and I are subscribers to this channel, and he recently did a Minecraft benchmark
Refer below...

Budget: around $1500-$2000
Country: Philippines
Use Case: Gaming on Minecraft and schoolwork
Preferred Specs: Optional
Notes: He's 14 years old so not a big bulky looking laptop.

With our current ThinkPad, it doesn't reach that much, and my brother feels left out because all of his friends have gaming setups. (also his birthday is coming up)

We're not asking for much, but I just want a budget one that's actually good performing, since he's just looking forward to playing Minecraft.

best gaming laptop under $1000 what should I actually get for smooth 1080p gaming?

Been trying to find a solid option lately but there are so many models and specs that it gets kinda confusing. I mostly play games like Valorant, Apex Legends, and some newer AAA titles on medium settings, and I want something that can handle 1080p without stuttering. My budget is around 1000 dollars but I can stretch a bit if it really makes a big difference in performance.

Is there actually a clear winner for best gaming laptop under $1000 right now or is it more about picking between a few similar options? Also wondering if I should prioritize GPU over CPU in this range or if there are specific models that tend to be more reliable long term. Thanks in advance, appreciate any help.
